the neo is genuine slapper, i find myself using it more than my high end premium boards like the 910/forever65/corsa. im running solder config with copper back ($89). unbelieveable really. at 1/6th the cost of my other boards
Honestly, as someone who has been in the hobby since 2015, I am tired of customizing keyboards and the high turnover rate in switches and keyboard models. The market feels too saturated and a lot of people (at least in my area) tend to switch immediately to the next new thing. I was hoping to get a Unicomp and call it a day but due to some QC concerns I went with the 8bitdo famicom style keyboard instead. Really happy with what I got. Stabs are silent, build quality is great for USD 100, it sounds amazing; clicky and thocky due to its plastic build. I believe it's quite hollow inside too. A lot of people in the hobby shy away from plastic and hollow constructions due to the preference for foams. I think people are missing out, especially those who want a full sounding board.
It boils down to preference really. That’s why there’s such a high turnover because creators are always creating new things to appeal to a very small and niche market. Like recolors, layout and form factor (zoom65/75/98), material (kohaku alu/pc). Because everyone likes slightly different things. Don’t need to “feel tired”, just look for what you want, get it, and be satisfied. You aren’t a content creator like me that needs to analyze every product and scrutinize it so closely.
“Budget for keyboard enthusiasts” i see a lot of people said that to convince peoples that their membrane keyboard is good but tbh, i think that entry level board is much cheaper nowadays lmao

Wholeheartedly agree, it’s giving the pricier boards a run for their money!
Hahaha to be fair the 910 was pretty mid

Yeah, more and more people are getting educated about how much better entry level boards are compared to the OEM ones by the big names.
I'll be back in 5 years
See you then!
