Hi Lee. This is just brilliant. Clear and concise and not rushing like a lot of videos.I am an older musician and this is addressing things I was having problems with. I will look forward to more videos like this. Thank you.
My GX-100 will be resurrected shortly after spending about 18 months in a case. Seeing you playing with its baby brother has just made me even more excited.
Great video. Came from a GT1 to the GX10 and it was a lil overwhelming in just how much you can do but taking it slow and learning bit by bit has been fun. This video helped. So far my favorite thing I've found is pushing down the 4 control knobs will move the parameters in increments of 10 instead of 1.
Excellent video and the adjustment of the levels, when you kick in the OD, has been my biggest complaint for live playing. Now it seems I can get that under control with your last tip. Thanks so much.
Awh this is great Lee, awesome. Thanks so much mate. Like yourself I Love Jet guitars and I’m awaiting my brand new GX 10 to arrive as we speak. Brilliant mate. Thank You 👏👏👏
Hi Lee, very informative and at the right time. I got mine last week. I believe it is worth becoming a 'power user' of at least 1 of these modellers/multi units. Looking forward to the next vid- from Canada.
I'm a pro user of the GT-1 and the Boss GX 10 is the only other unit in the Boss range that has tempted me only because it can dual-amp, but in all honesty a stick of dynamite couldn't get me to retire it, it's tricky to get right I know, but when it's set right and chained/used as it's capable of in any setting, it's a force indeed 🔥 very few have found the holy grail well within it....including very chewy tube tones that murder in a blind test every time.
I have both units. The GT -1 is one pedal that I have hung onto as well. I find it easy to navigate and batteries is another bonus. The effect sound are great. It kinda has its own thing going on.
Awesome video that really helps. Can you toggle between more than just one effect ( like say turn on drive pedal and phaser ) with the C1 switch. Also would love to know how to work with the two amp chain and how to switch between amps. Would be great if you could do videos on these. I have seen a lot of comments online by people who don't know how to use the unit. I agree with you regarding BOSS , that's a company that's made the best gear for decades!
Hi Lee, I found you with Paul Drew from the studio rats. Very enjoyable. Can you do a tutorial on the gx10 regarding setting up 2 amps and explain how that works and switching between them please. Keep up the great work. Joe
Hi Lee what's your opinion of the quality of the high gain sounds with delay and reverb in this unit ? Can you do another video to demonstrate High gain amps please. I'm not convinced with a lot of these present gadgets. I've Had Hotone , Headrush and a number of other manufacturers and been very disappointed with the quality of their sonic performance. Thanks 👍 Best regards . John
Dear Mr Lee.....I have two inquiries. The 1st one... Is it possible to assign one set of stereo output (ie, the main Left & Right outputs) to have all the sound of a preset, WITHOUT the IR/Cab Sim, at teh same time a 2nd stereo output (ie, the Headphone output) with all the same sound of this preset but this time with the IR/Cab Sim, included. The idea is so that i could send a stereo output with the IR/Cab Sim to the PA/Recording tracks (stereo), while the other output without the IR/Cab Sim, goes to a pair of guitar amps' Effects Return or Power Amp input. The 2nd one is...Is it possible to send MIDI Programme Change to the GX-10 via its USB (using a USB Host to MIDI device) from a MIDI foot controller switcher or a loop switcher which has MIDI Out? I hope i am not asking a stupid question... Btw, the video is so informative & very well made....Awesome bro!
I just wanted to know about your experience when playing live and switching patches- how smooth is it to transition from clean to distortion, overdrive, or wah, as well as using a volume pedal and multiple patches? How does it compare to a bigger pedalboard with 4-5 switches and dedicated sound bank buttons for switching? Looking forward to your thoughts!
Great content! I recently got a BOSS GX-10 effects processor, but after attempting a system software upgrade, the unit got stuck, and now it won't boot. I've contacted local service providers, but they couldn't fix it, and there's no warranty support here in my country. The unit became useless after the upgrade attempt. Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Any advice on possible fixes or recovery methods would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
@timothy5974 You made a very smart move, the GT-1 is the only unit around that can go toe to toe with the GX10 across all tones, except the dual amping aspect in the GX 10, -but two GT-1's used in unison already sorts it beautifully...congrats!
Thank you Lee, for this clear, easy-to-understand tutorial.

You’re a very good teacher. Great video. Thank you. Subscribed. Keen to see as much as you are willing to do on this pedal.
The video I as looking for. 🎉. Great Thanks. Very informative

I just bought this unit as a follow up to the IR-2. Looking forward to this series!
very useful, similar to Snapshot mode in Line 6 products. I hope this feature available in other Boss products..
nice tips,i will try to apply

Yes you can assign anything to the C1 switch
You can assign to de up/down buttons too. I got the GX100 using some presets like that on manual mode @@LA.Guitar
Thank you Lee this helps 🤘

These GX-10 videos are great.. you should think about putting out your own set of patches, you’ve got a great ear for them.
Maybe one day!
Lee, have you uploaded your patches to Boss Tone Studio?
Not as yet. Maybe
Hi Lee, try and review the Harley Benton DNAfx git core. You will love it!
I’d love to

Hey Lee, I don’t see the cabinet icon in the preset chain there
It’s a setting within the Preamp

🤦♂️ I just went for the GT-1. I thought about this.
