      Btw... The new 3 movies coming out, are:
      -1st, a movie about the FIRST force user, 25,000 years ago.
      -2nd , a movie that is a conclusion of all the shows, (Mando, Boba, Ahsoka, etc.).
      -3rd, is the new Rey movie taking place 15 years after ''Rise of Skywalker."
      So, it's gonna be a while before the Rey movie.
      Hopefully, we'll have some changes in the story, to make things in the sequels make more sense!

      Don't forget that the Mandalorian is made in old style theater serial style. This is merely the end of the Mandalorian: Book 1. All major loose ends tied up, and everyone is seemingly living happily ever after.
      Next season, Book 2 will begin, most likely with Chapter 1.

      The Darksaber is supposed to be made of beskar... Gideon shouldn't have been able to crush it like that, even with a mechanized suit.
      And, I quote:
      "The Darksaber was an ancient black-bladed lightsaber. It had a unique blade that was shorter than that of most lightsabers, and shaped like a traditional sword. Its overall profile was distinctly Mandalorian with an angular pommel, hand guard, and slit-shaped blade emitter, all of which was made out of beskar."
      So, you're telling me that Moff Gideon crushed a beskar weapon with his powered-up hand? Really...?

      @Lord Splittawig
      I didn't know the dark saber was made of beskar.. If that's true, then crushing it with one hand, even if that hand had 'super strength,' it was pretty stupid to do that.
      My bet is that Kenedy woman had a hand in it, no pun intended, lol.
      Good catch...🤘😁

    The Spies title just referred to the 12-man scouting party of Mandos (and maybe even Grogu) that were sent ahead to the Mandalore surface to search for the Forge. Spy is just another word for Scout. In base building games where you can attack other bases for resources, the game will usually let you scout the base before you attack. And the action or unit used to do that is usually called a spy. We only get confused with that word spy because we think of it in modern vernacular where it's a sneaky espionage type of person who may or may not be a double agent. Or think of if like a CIA Spy. They are just scouting or surveiling the intended target for future operations by a bigger force.
    Oh, I forgot, the 12 Mandalorian strong team also refers back to the 12 spies sent my Moses to scout the Canaan region for a place to settle.

People make up things and are disappointed when things don't go their way which frankly I find childish and absurd and some people on this platform make controversial videos only to get views there were people who made videos about the idea (that they made look like a fact) they were going to kill Mando and started to hate on Bo because of that which again is absurd since it was clear to me the idea of the showrunners was to show how cooperation is the way to go not hate and divisions.

    I’m surprised how many people are disappointed by this season because as a Star Wars fan I loved it!! So much great story telling and action.
    I thought it was obvious “the spies” referred to the group sent to “spy out” mandalore In that episode.
    Also I love the choice to destroy the dark saber, because from a. Storytelling perspective it gives Grogu the opportunity to be the new Tarre Visla and create his own mando/Jedi saber someday

    • @LeutnantJoker
      @LeutnantJoker ปีที่แล้ว +13

      It seemed like the saber was more in the way of Mandalore instead of helping it. They focused more on who wielded in than about what Din mentioned: Honor and integrity. That's how they ended up with Maul as a leader after all. With that line broken, there can now be a change of mandalorian leadership. I just wish they had spent more of the season exploring that idea.

    I think the Spies title sent some people on some theory rabbit trails, but the actual explanation with the Moses story makes a lot of sense. The events in that episode are very similar to what happens in the bible story, with Bo or the Armorer in the Moses role, sending/venturing with scouts/spies from different tribes to evaluate land they want to live on. It had a double meaning too with Kane being a literal spy. I know it's frustrating when theories create expectations, and I was caught up in that too for a while, but I've learned over the years to put expectations aside. I know it's easier said than done. It's harder when you love a franchise too. I'm glad you guys still had fun with it.

The whole arc from Ch. 1 to 24 saw the lone, callous bounty hunter growing to first 'make a connection' to eventually 'settling down,' catching up all of Mandalore and its restoration in his wake along the way, a true homecoming for all Mandalorians but now on a completely new footing. It's cool that you made the connection between Gideon's armour and the resemblance to Maul. I think it was intentional that he resembled Maul during the fight with Bo-Katan. It's like Bo was fighting for Mandalore against the previous usurper of Mandalore who killed her sister..
    It's like poetry. It rhymes.

    Well, I really liked the storyline because it sets up next season to be about Din Jarin and Din Grogu going on many different adventures together, which I think made the show great in the first place. Also by killing off Moth Gideon it opens the door for Thrawn to step in as the big bad guy, which will be great. I think he should appear in more than just the Ahsoku series and it also allows for a crossover of the two shows. And we probably haven't seen the last of Bo-Katan or the Armor either. So the future is bright for the Mandalorian!

    There's a story in the Bible with Moses and him having 12 "spies" and being more like scouts for the promised land. So with mandalore being the promised land and taking it back, the scouring party had 12 that came with bo. So it could be that interpretation of spies as to why there was no traitor reveals.

    Two things. 1) I think the other spy was that creature on Navarro (season 2) that helped fix Mando's ship after he left Trask. The mechanic put a tracker on the Razorcrest and then notified Elia Kane (or whatever her name is) that the tracker was in place and Mando still had Grogu. The mechanic probably saw all the Mandalorians on Navarro and contacted Kane.
    2) Does anyone else get the feeling that Moff Gideon was planning on taking over the Galaxy himself and making himself Emperor? He clearly kept his clones a secret from the shadow council and he doesn't seem to be the type to share cloning knowledge with those trying to help the Emperor.
    Thoughts?

    I’m confused on every reactors insistence that “the spies” were somehow some huge plot line of the last episode. It was literally resolved in the first minutes of the episode and every conspiracy ran down the rabbit hole that never existed. People saw the title and ran crazy with it.
    But in terms of the show it never made any sense that there was more spies among them. Certainly not Axe Woves or the Armorer.
    There is a real possibility that it could down the line imply some double cross action in the sense that some of gideons people and maybe some mandos were working for Thrawn. And Thrawn most likely was very aware of what Gideon was doing behind closed doors with the clones and trying to usurp Thrawns position. After reading all 12 or however many Thrawn books I wouldn’t put it past it for us to find out he was the one who orchestrated the confrontation into happening by pulling strings

    I feel like everyone is disappointed with the season because expectations were so high after the season 2 finale everyone puts this show on a pedestal it can never live up to. It’s Star Wars and the story this season was the journey to take back Mandalore. It wrapped up the reason Mof took mandalore in the first place and what his master plan was from the beginning. Now the mama Lori and have their home planet back and Din and Grogu can go back to their adventures again

      I have to keep repeating this. Expectations don’t come out of thin air. The show creates expectations when they make 2 awesome seasons and fans want to keep that high standard. Luke fucking Skywalker made a massive appearance in the S2 finale, why wouldn’t fans expect something huge like that again in the S3 finale? The show and the creators build expectations. That’s not the fans fault for having high standards.

    And now is he is a Mandalorian Apprentice and Din's son, I love the way he walks by Din's side. He can walk around by himself, confidently. We don't see him in his floating crib anymore, nor does he need IG-12. Also, he stands on the steps in Nevarro and Greef Karga addresses him by name which he didn't at the beginning of the season and Mando had to remind Greef that his name was Grogu. He plays with the frog but doesn't eat it, because he is not hungry like he was before. He is safe and home and growing up. Finally, I know there is a lot of criticism of Season 3, but I see it as part of a trilogy. The final episode is titled "The Return", and could parallel with "The Return of The Jedi" film. I am already watching the whole three seasons from the beginning and I am sure there will be a great deal of insight to gain. I can hardly wait for the next trilogy (Seasons 4, 5 & 6) of The Mandalorian. I hope we see Din Grogu on top of the Mythosaur!
