Thank you for such a beautiful scarf and easy tutorial. I used an Ice yarn I had on hand (I have no clue what size yarn it was, probably a 3. I used 2 small skeins and I just love it. I don't think it's as long as yours, I just made until my yarn ran out. So pretty. Thank you!

On your scarf you chain 32, was that a multi of 8? I was thinking of using the same Patons glam stripes which is 3 ply light for a shawl.

Not really sure since there are several variables in that question Mary: size desired, type of yarn used, crocheting style, etc.

What is the name of this stitch?
Not sure of a special name, but the pattern utilizes the most basic of crochet stitches: chain, double crochet and single crochet.
