A carer friend of mine called last week, and her client has such cold hands, she remembered that I had previously made a ppair of fingerless gloves, & she asked me to make for her client. Ive made the gloves and am now making this scarf to go with it. So you are continuing to be a blessing to me and to others
I made this for my mother. She absolutely loves it! She wears it with a black shirt and sweater and it really pops and makes a simple outfit spectacular. I’m about to make another one for my aunt. Thank for sharing the pattern.
Please add me as a new devoted fan! You are an AMAZING teacher, Robin. Thank you so much! Will definitely be sending you a coffee as soon as I figure out how. Beautiful pattern!❤
I am sure I have done many of your things in arigurumi. I work as a live-in carer, and have always been able to crochet, but it became a blessing, when I have to sit with my clients to chat or watch all sorts of tings on TV with them. I also give my otems and toys to old age homes and children with special needs. So you are blessing many others too.
I am halfway through making this. This is the second thing I have ever crocheted. It is so easy to learn from you! I have learned to read the pattern because of the video. I love this SO MUCH! Thank you for making your videos, they are so inspiring!
Robin-you are the best! I’ve already used this pattern for Christmas gifts as well as the shawl pattern. Your directions are very clear and easy to follow. Your voice is pleasant to listen to and watching how each stitch is created makes the pattern much less daunting. Many thanks!
WOW - beautiful scarf and gorgeous colours. I will try this for my next project. Thank you very much for the fun tutorial and very good explanation. Greetings from Germany. Andrea.
I have seen videos on this pattern and you by FAR have explained it the BEST. NOW i will attempted to crochet this in that flattering yarn in fall colors. 💜💜💜💜💜💜
Hi, I saw youtr tutorial pass by whilst browsing for something completely else. I had some similar wool lying arond somewere, finally found it stashed away somewere and thought: lets give it a try. I have not been crocheting for at least 25 years, but it all came back to me. At first it seemed verry difficult, but after a flower or five I really got the hang of it, and now I'm happy crocheting along. Thank you for this tutorial, this scarf wil brighten up my winterwardrobe after its finished.
This was the first pattern I ever crocheted years ago. I remember it was a vintage pattern scan floating around on the internet. I'm happy to see it's remaining known!
I've made 3 so far and need about 6 more for Christmas. Luckily for me, these work up rather quickly. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for making my Christmas shopping a whole lot easier.
Love it. It moves so fast. I already finished mine in few hours. Now I think I will make many of these for the teenagers in my family. Thank you for a detailed tutorial. 🙏
I am a newbie to crochet, and already I am nearly finished crocheting this fab scarf. Robin your tutorials are so easy to follow. I love the time you put in to each video especially the repeats. I would be more visual so these videos suit me. Because of you I am crocheting .A big Thankyou. I look forward to the next tutorials.
Have only been crocheting for just under a year, I use a lot of your videos to learn various stitches and. Love all your scarf patterns, I never thought when I started that I could ever make anything as pretty as this, but I can and just wanted to thank you, also I can’t find how many motifs to do for a good length if you can help, thanks and thanks for all the tutorials, I’m in UK but I think I use USA terms more 😂❤
I made 47 motifs in total for my scarf which made it nearly 10 ft long! 😂🙈 You can just keep going until it's the length you want, I tend to just wrap it round my neck a few times as I'm making it LOL
It most definitely fits into the caregory of WOW ... I´ve just finished mine and I looks so beautiful - even if I say this myself; still most obviously it is due to your instructions which are impecable ... took me a little while to get the gist of the flaring to one side and the other, but when I did it really is a piece of cake!!! thank you so much for sharing this beautiful pattern.
Hi Robin. Just to say, I've finished this scarf and I LOVE IT!! It is by a long shot the best thing I have crocheted so far. It is sooo beautiful. As mentioned in another comment, I used a thinner yarn with a 4.5mm hook and it still came out brilliantly. I used two balls of the Cygnet Boho Spirit 'Festival' yarn (bought this before having a project in mind) and just continued until I ran out of yarn and it's the perfect length. I've since discovered that you've used this yarn yourself in another of your videos - the Crochet bottom up Granny triangle shawl. It's a beautiful yarn with lovely colours and I can see myself buying more of it. Anyway, just wanted to gush and say thanks again. I love my scarf, others have complimented me on it and I'm going to make more for presents.
Hi Suzanne, I loved reading this comment - thank you!🥰 That yarn is so beautiful but I also so say that for most yarns.😂 I am so glad you love your scarf.x
I just finished a scarf using this beautiful stitch and gifted it to my friend for Christmas! I can't believe I did it but your super detailed and easy instructions definitely helped! Everyone now thinks I'm a pro....lol! Thank you Robin!
I have about 1 yard done, it looks wonderful.Thank you so much for sharing.Guess what my daughter in laws will get for Christmas !!!!! It solves a big problem, as there are 6 !!!!
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL SCARF!!! I made it using a chunky yarn and size L/ 8mm hook. The result was petals that are large and the scarf width across is about 11 inches. This one is on the Christmas stocking stuffer list! Thanks for a great pattern and tutorial!!💕
This was actually really fun and very pretty. I finally got a chance to give it a go today. It actually works well with a silky yarn with a fair amount drape as well and still looks gorgeous. I used a bamboo yarn.
I just finished making this fabulous scarf! Your video tutorial is fantastic, so clear and easy to follow, as is the camera work showing everything so clearly. Thank you so much.
I have made 4 of these scarfs in different color...some fancy with sparkle . I made a white one with sparkle..looks like snowflakes. I feel like a real artisan. Thank you Robin.
Robin, another winner here! I just finished mine. It was very exciting to make and the finished object is as stunning as your hair! If you keep them coming, I will keep making it! You taught me how to crochet and I love your teaching style. You are simply brilliant.
I used this pattern for a scarf with Malabrigo Rasta super bulky merino. It tuned out beautifully and it kept me warm in Montreal’s cold weather. At first it looked very complicated but you’re right it’s much easier than one would assume seeing it at first. Thank you for your clear instructions. Much appreciated.
I'm finally getting to sit down, and I'll be working on this tonight! Thanks so much for an awesome pattern, Robin! Every time I think I'm burned out with crochet, along comes Robin to save the day for me 🤗
Fabulous! I couldn't wait for yarn to be delivered, so I got Unforgettable (Red Heart) in the color Gossamer! Already have 2 motifs done, and even though I'm left-handed, I'm able to follow your excellent instructions! Thank you!
I had 6 motifs done before the optional step video came out, so I plan to just take the "floppy" petals together with a tiny thread stitch. It is so lovely! Thank you!

I love this pattern. It was so fun to make. I was able to complete it in two evenings. My yarn was a little soft so I made it with your correction and joined the petals. Thank you for making this video!!!

Working on this currently. Haven't crocheted since I was a kid and this is an easy enough pattern to start with. What kind of yarn is suitable for this scarf? Acrylic, cotton or any kind?
What is the yarn that you're using when demonstrating at the very beginning of doing the scarf?
Yarn shown on completed scarf: Hobbii Cookie Cake (2/3rd of a ball used: approximately 400 meters of the cake) (colourway candy 46218 ) with a 5.5mm Hook
Yarn used in tutorial: Ice Yarn Lana Bella ("purple, turquoise, yellow, fuchsia") - available to purchase here: bit.ly/3idx8Dg with a 5mm Hook
Completed scarf length: approximately 7 feet long: 45 total motifs (including start and ending motifs)
