Mrallthat Id rather have fallout NV graphics , it's all to cartoony for my taste . Ill probably get over it but i'm still to bummed , they took the game's aesthetic in a whole different directions .
pipsonicx3 When a new Indiegame gets relaesed on steam with better graphics than this, everyone complains about the graphic. But on this game with a big developement studio it seems like not a big deal, because they have a successfull prequel.
The Big Man Himself That statement is dumb in the context of games like Fallout which have always been about content rather than gameplay. Fallout didn't have great and remarkable gameplay, the combat system wasn't some gaming milestone, it had a nice RPG system but that's not what made Fallout great, it was the content. And especially content-driven games benefit hugely from a good presentation and Fallout 1 and 2 were gorgeous back then. It's funny how fans of old games often go "graphics aren't important" and point to their favourite classics which look bad by today's standards but whose developers were putting tons of effort into the visual presentation at the time.
fotakatos what? I liked the gameplay, im just trying to get at the fact people are crying because of the graphics as if they think its more important than the game in general
systempatcher I agree. I mean, look at Battlefield 4. Sure, it's got great graphics but it's a shit game, so I don't play it. I look at it for 2 seconds and then go "I know this game. I've seen it before, and it's old. It's shit. I'm gonna play something better instead." The graphics look great to me too, really loving it. Especially after the actual gameplay footage.
Thane Krios Yeah, man. Audio can be such a huge fucking factor for immersion. And immersion is sooo important to an RPG. Graphics doesn't really have too much of an impact on immersion, unless it looks really, really bad. But even with bad graphics, you can change the environment into something unique and immersive anyway, if you're creative.
CounterNerd My thoughts exactly. Remember those old top-down rpgs like Baldur's Gate for example? They were and are still among the most immersive games ever and worked almost entirely because of player's imagination. Hell even some of those weird ASCII graphics or text rpgs are quite immersive. Of course great graphics help with the immersion, but still, if you have awesome looking game without any good level design or creativity you will end up with a game that has really bland, ugly environments thus the game starts loosing the immersive factor.
Thane Krios It's funny, because when I saw the ad for the new Star Wars Battlefront, I completely dismissed it. A few years ago, I would probably have thought it looked amazing. Now, it just made me think of Battlefield 4 and I'm pretty sure that's what it's going to be like. And I'm so in that thought, that the graphics (which according to them, should amaze) just have no positive effect on my view of the game.
NovaStone Yea really, I'm STILL playing Fallout 3 on console and it doesn't matter to me, it's the gameplay I live for, and I'm craving a new world to explore. I haven't even bought a PS4/Xbone yet because I was waiting for this Fallout 4 announcement, any improvements will look sick to me and to other Fallout fans. If people are really crazed about graphics, they can buy it for PC and mod it to look better.
Captain Karnage Art style and colour can only do so much when a game is trying to be realistic. I'm sure Fallout 4 will be fine, and even more fine after 2-3 years worth of texture mods, but if it looks like Fallout 3 texture wise, yeah that shit wouldn't fly... that game is fugly by todays standards without mods
Captain Karnage Exactly. But either is nice. Uncharted 4 looks stunning because of it's realism, the art isn't lacking but it's not exactly exciting. Fallout 4 is stunning for the art and not much else.
Charles Morales Ya the dog looked much better, the people still ran in the same mechanical way but about twice as smoothly. If the guy who made this vid is right about them not trying to get people's expectations up, and the game's graphics stay almost 100% faithful to this trailer, I will be very happy.
Obi Alfred I don't know why the people who have already replied to you have pointed out the animations on the cinematic part of the trailer. Look at the actual in game parts; like those ghouls moving around like full blown zombies or that Protrecton walking as if it really is 200 years old. I'm sure they improved a lot with animations, and I may be the only one to think but there is a large possibility they are using a new engine.
Austyn Gillis Yeah the ghouls move amazingly. I've noticed that the first time I've seen the trailer. I'm just worried about player, npc and combat animations.
SnowdenHero X yes i agree they need up up the anti since Fallout is considered a triple-a game now but srs ppl need to stop whining if they want gfx so bad use mods. i like when a game is pretty, but if its not i dont bitch about it. like Skyrim. and Saints Row 4. fokin half life 2 for crying out loud.
Ruthless Fun Wow, LOL. fanboy of the year here. Ya they're fucking lazy, fanboy. They'll improve the graphics no doubt if they want a blockbuster game of the year.
Avakadoman1995 Fucking exactly. People are getting spoiled with all the new games almost focused on graphics. But, we should be getting used to it, as time goes on, but, I wasnt expecting real life physics and graphics. I also think both look good, btw. People are just expecting too much.
We will, because we actually care about the main aspects of games. Give me graphics from 2005, I don't give a shit as long as it plays well and has a good story.
Children: Alright! A new game to take up my ample free time! Tweens/Manchildren: This doesn't meet all my impossible entitled expectations! It shouldn't even exist! Adults With Lives: Alright. A new game to take up my limited free time.
I love the Fallout 3 color palette. It really set a good atmosphere for the game. However, I wouldn't call it particularly breathtaking, and the environment for Fallout 4 looks pretty neat.. No one complained about the Fallout NV color palette, I don't know why people are complaining now. Honestly, the story isn't really the main appeal for me. I'm more interested in the variety of the environment and having lots of unique places to explore, so I think graphics are kind of important, but honestly the graphics for Fallout 4 look great.
M Shevchenko I don't actually understand why the graphics are an issue, they look approximately the same as Dragon Age: Inquisition and no one bitched about that. And you're right, the green does set the atmosphere but I'm still glad they're moving to bright colours. Also the shooting controls were pretty terrible in Fallout 3. Luckily that looks hugely improved as well
Personally, I don't care much about graphics. I just love the Fallout *lore* and story of different faction that I would meet. And I do want a *Deathclaw* as a pet tho.
Divine Pc Master Race there are plenty of exclusive games that try to push graphics to they're limits and there are also mods. there's nothing wrong with devs trying to give everyone a good game no matter what they play on
TheCullousus They are not trolls you fucking idiot, you just call them trolls to make it seem like they are not serious... No they are serious the graphics suck ass for it being year 2015, crawl from under your god damn rock and gaze upon real life, that is a video games goal, is to reach as close as possible to real life.
Bradd1122 The games playing quality is what is most important, if the game cant run smoothly then what the fuck is the point of maximum graphics you idiot.
Bradd1122 I didn't say it didn't matter, what I did say is that I'm excited for the game. People are bitching over a trailer for fucks sake. Stop crying, get over it or don't buy the game at release. Simple.
Fulvic no I won't, I am a console player, to me graphics are always good enough, the Witcher 3 ''downgrade'' doesn't really bother me, I only wish the framerate was better on PS4.
Consensual Gaming Here, here! It is really fucking stupid how some people start talking shit about the game even though we haven't even seen any real gameplay. Some people just need to get nuked.
Consensual Gaming I think only a few of us didnt have over the top graphical expectations for this. But it looks amazing. Better than skyrim, for sure.
It's good they are using the enhanced new engine to expand the world and make it bigger instead of cutting things for ultra realistic graphics. It looks great to me and I can't wait to see how expansive it is!
The Master Race need not worry its self about graphics. While a meager disappointment, it is something we can fix ourselves, alongside the modded weapons, armor, gameplay, mechanics, unofficial bug fixes that none of the official patches fix... I could go on and on. Oh, and the inevitable online mod we shall make. Unlike the peasants. The peasants have what they are given by their lords. No more. No less.
Derp Stein For one game. Being serious for a moment; PC and Console both have advantages and disadvantages, but the longer console producers try being cheaply produced PCs (and half-assing it in the process) and not playing to console's strengths (split-screen, playing with friends, easy mobility), then consoles will continue to suffer.
Spades Neil peasants he says. anyways, i expect you to get your ass to work when the game comes out to make it better for everyone else and to not get paid for the work you put in, genius of the master race. k thx
MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIKKKKKKKEEEEEEE! MY GOD I HAVEN'T SEEN YOU IN FOREVOOOOOOOORRRRRRRR! Seriously, when you dissappeared from 3KB, a huge chunk of something inside of me(probably my pancreas) went and CRACKED so hard that I thought I would split in HALF. Oooohhhh I'm so glad recommondations brought your channel up! Instant subscription here and I'm about to check out the rest of your content dude! X)
I thought that was the style of Fallout? Fallout is supposed to be a bit cartoony. Have you played the old original games? It's building off that style and I love it. No stupid green or orange filters either! This game looks absolutely gorgeous and I love that my character will finally have a voice. It's exciting and if people are judging this game already they are not true gamers. Graphics don't make the game.
"Do you party? Do you fuk?" Hahahaha x'D I'm down. BTW you're the weirdest Italian, and that means a lot coming from a guy that hasn't met any Italian yet. Lol thanks for the videos 07
My take on the graphics as a big fan of the all of the previous games is that they're about what I'd hoped for. It is tempting to look at what the big game engines are doing right now today, I mean even Unity has been updated to allow for some very impressive environments without much effort but I'm well aware that Fallout 4 has been in development for many years now with a huge team of people going all out fleshing out a new world for us to play in. For a game this big, they need that much time no matter how big the team is and so really, the engine has to get fairly locked down as to what it can do fairly early on in development so everyone can get on with building stuff for that engine. To compare a game with a brand new engine that's either not out yet or just come out, it's not really sensible. No matter what that game is, it is not going to be offering the massive metric tonne of content that Fallout 4 will and I'll take a truly massive fleshed out world any day over some lush but mostly empty super pretty space where dogs run around with dynamic fur and physics so detailed, you can watch dogs crap in real-time and even see how grass deforms as they sit down and drag their little front legs around wiping their asses. That's great and all but Fallout 4 looks like the kind of game I'm just going to get lost in for a while and really enjoy. That's really all I care about.
Wow, all these Fallout 3 fanboy kids; most of whom weren't even born when original Fallout came out. Graphics don't make a game, but with that said I have feeling that this will probably be like Fallout 3; bland with no real Fallout character: going through a check-list of Fallout related things and applying them to your game doesn't make a good Fallout game. Dialogue is what can make any game feel better, and Bethesda has failed to deliver in writing for a long time: Bethesda's writing has been declining since Morrowind due to demands of kids who can't be arsed to read extensive dialogue written with an actual depth to it - probably because they don't actually read. Like Ken Rolston - who was formerly a big cheese at Bethesda - said when he was asked why they ditched the more extensive unvoiced dialogue from Morrowind starting with Oblivion "I'm told that fully voiced dialogue is what the kids want".
I'm sure the game will be great, like everything that BGS creates, but it isn't next gen... Fallout 4 uses the same engine as skyrim (which used the same engine as the two elder scrolls before it (the whole creation engine thing is just BS)). This is a 2011 era game that will be released 2016. The BGS studios needs to stop being lazy and learn to use something besides Gamebryo.
Salty Alpaca It looks better than skyrim in the same way that FO3 was better than ES4. Anyone with eyes can see it's the same game (same engine, same character models...etc). I'm not sure what you mean by "no one could play it." A new generation of consoles were just released (and this game in no way is next gen), If the consoles can handle Witcher 3, they can handle a game vastly better than what FO4 appears to be. And in terms of the PC, a 2011 era game (which this is), is hardly going to push their rigs.
nubemuffin Well I'm an illiterate fuck who misunderstood. But either way, it's clearly not the same game. Anyone with eyes could see that. Mainly because if it was the same game, it would literally be Fallout 3/New Vegas.
Some games have super good graphics and u need a 16gb computer to run it. I'm glad it's not to good of graphics, plus, the graphics really are not that bad.
nubemuffin As they progress throughout the years, they try to make it perform on a PC in the future. It's not about what year they start making the game, it's about the power of the GPU. My buddy has a rig that has 3 GTX 260s in it. the graphics card came out 3 years before skyrim was released. But it runs skyrim with enhanced textures. He said they've been working on FO4 just after Fallout 3 during the e3 conference, so Fallout New Vegas was basically like an extra project that they wanted to do. They released New Vegas 2 years after Fallout 3, but only 2 years. Included in that 2 years, was Fallout 4. So according to my calculations, they've been on this game for 7 years. Not 2, not 5, but 7 years. They probably started with Skyrim's engine, but upgraded, and fixed a few bugs in the code, to keep up to date with today and not yesterday.
he's the thing with graphics snobs. It's never good enough. Pick up a game from just five years ago, no matter how good it was when it came out it's going to look like ass. The most graphic intensive game today is going look like ass 5 years from now.
+gunmunz Not really. I play mgsv and witcher 3 at 2k resolution on the PC and i still enjoy Dark Souls, Red Dead Redemption and Bioshock. I personally think even Red Dead Redemption looks better than Fallout 4 and it helps that much with the atmosphere of the game. In the end, it's about upholding the high standard of a product. If CD red projekt, a lesser known dev, can deliver a stunning looking game, with a vast open world and a great story. Then why cant Bethesda do the same? Think about the 60$ price tag that you're gonna pay. This is 2016, absolutely never settle for less my friend.
CyberspaceWanderer Did you install some hi res texture mod to the game cause the core version doesn't look half as good as Fallout 4. Plus while graphics might appear shitty over time you know what never decays, the gameplay. I'd take excellent Gameplay over excelent graphics any day
gunmunz it's all vanilla. And red dead redemption is a ps3 game, so no mod. And I get what you're saying about gameplay. But I did implied that gameplay should be great in the original comment. What I'm saying is that we, as customers, deserves to get the complete package with no sacrifice. We've seen too many great games in the past few years to give out a free pass to bethesda. We should be tough customers since it's our money that we spend.
+CyberspaceWanderer the graphics in RDR are not better than FO4, the graphics in FO4 aren't the best around but they're not so bad that they deserve the critique that they're getting, the customer (i'm sure) will get every pennys worth of their money because of the depth of the game(far more "roleplay" than RDR), i know you mentioned gameplay aswell but i don't think you appreciate the difference between games like fallout (skyrim, borderlands, etc) and RDR ,gta ,etc. look back at FO 3 the graphics were quite poor aswell, i'm sure there were dozens of games that were visually much better but the game had so much more depth. people have been bamboozled into thinking if it does'nt look "real" or epic or spectacular that it's cheap(the same in cinema) and under par, when in actuallity, imo, it seems the bigger, pretty titles have less substance, and are unable to keep your attention for more than a few weeks(if we're lucky).
***** When I can get a $400-300 x box or ps and sit back on a couch entread of a shitty gaming chair. Don't even get me started with old games on pc. I was trying to boot up fallout 3 on my pc which recently got upgraded (new graphics card, 4x the ram, quad core processes) and it didn't work. Kept freezing Went onto my x box, worked for 3 hrs straight. Hate pc gaming, so much drama for a game I play just to get away from school
+Tiki Torchs I literally just built a computer capable of playing all the latest titles at the highest settings for $400 CAD. This means that, in addition to being able to play nearly every game available on consoles at HIGHER settings and frame rates, I have access to MMO, and an assortment of other games that will never be available on consoles. Want to sit on the couch? Cool, because I bought a wireless 360 controller receiver capable of supporting up to 4 controllers for $15, and my computer is hooked directly up to my TV. Furthermore, compatibility issues pale in comparison to the vase modding communities for more popular games. Also, the upgradability is real. If I wait for a graphics car to go on sale, I can beat out the next console bound to come out in the next 5 years for the low price of ~$200 which is also a backwards compatible upgrade that will translate to improved performance in every aspect. Also, I just got: Metro 2033, Metro: Last Light, Farcry 4, Batman: Arkham Asylum, and Saints Row 2-4 + DLC for $30. Sourced locally, at BEST I'd be paying $10 per game, I've owned and maintained a ps3 and xbox 360 for the past 6 years, and I'm much more inclined to play on pc. The thing is, almost everybody has a dedicated computer. SOME sort of dedicated computer, because it's easier to manage home networks. If you're already putting out money for a computer, then you can spend an extra $200 and make that computer into a multi-purpose console. Tell me that isn't more efficient than buying a console.
+legacysage $400 CAD = $300 USD.... The GPU and CPU would cost you alone at least $400 USD at minimum to play the latest games at Highest settings. And that's obviously not including the motherboard, Cooling unit, Case, power supply, Network, storage, mouse & keyboard, etc... I would like to know exactly what GPU and CPU you got for $400/$300, and every other part included as well in that $400CAD/$300USD rig. Gpu, I could see it being possible on a really good deal, and i mean fucking really GOOD "out of business" deal, say Geforce Gtx 900 series or 780 ti, anything else below that would be playing Latest games at medium-high. 680, and 690 is still pretty good, but it's still priced pretty high. and you wouldn't keep that 60fps constantly . Cpu, is anything with a base frequency of 4.0ghz and a minimum of 8 cores. But then you would need to spend $$$ on everything else, (case, motherboard, etc). preferably a i7 or well supported i5. And after getting those you would need to make sure your motherboard is compatible otherwise your purchases are in vain. I hate seeing people who constantly say "I built a computer for just $400 and could play this and that on ultra high settings", which is bullshit. If you actually built a computer, (which i'm having doubts) you would know $400 builds are basic start-up rigs, meaning you have everything else (motherboard, case, psu, cooling unit, etc) but not a good Cpu and Gpu (meaning you play games at low to MEDIUM at BEST). That's when you save-up and spend $400 upgrading the gpu and cpu. Otherwise you would be averaging $700-800 on a decent rig that can perform as you say. But i guess anything is possible. Post them specs and lets have a look see. If theirs a rig that can play Far cry 4 on ultra for just $300/400CAD, i'm going to make a few phone calls, and online purchases.
I love the graphics compared to the previous games and current games. Also going with the voice of the protagonist, I think that they will add in a voice selector for each gender like in Firefall when you customize your own character.
Looks fine and is a step up from the previous games. I'm hoping that by holding back on fine detail, they're able to give us bigger landscapes and smoother gameplay. Whenever I pull up my Pip-Boy on the 360, the game freezes for a second. It gets old. I was also a little disappointed with how they had to scale down the city of New Vegas to meet PS3 and 360 hardware power. I'm hoping part 4 won't have those issues.
I cant wait till Fallout 4. I really like how they improved the graphics and the new adeventages you have know. Like you can build a house and customize it any way you want. You can over lap armor and uprgrade power armor. You can run now on a console. Also you can CUSTOMIZE WEAPONS AND MAKE THEM AWESOME! AND THE FIRST PERSON VIEW IS AWESOME.
I like how they still say its "Fine" graphic wise even tho in comparison to the other Fallout games, which if you've looked at any character or the ground you could probably still see the square pixels from how bad it looked but it was amazing and its quality in story which makes these games sell millions, to me though these graphics look amazing especially with the shading of the sun and the never ending features they have included.
I honestly hate the gaming community now. All they do is cry, and cry, and fucking cry some more because graphics aren't good enough, but graphics aren't the focus. At least they shouldn't be. I want a game with a story, a game that makes me want to fucking cry, where I scream with excitement when there's a cool plot twist. I want a game with neat devices and awesome decisions. I don't want pseudo-realistic graphics. I honestly don't. Because it's actually not as pretty. I know, many people disagree. "You mean these crappy graphics are prettier than feeling like you're walking around in an actual real world?!" Yeah, I do. This is a Fallout feel. It's clean with a rough look and I love it. I wouldn't want it to change for the world. Because I find the beauty in walking through the wasteland, taking in that post apocalyptic world that Bethesda has turned Fallout into. So, I love this. I love these graphics, and I love what it's offered so far. And I'm giddy to play this. And everyone who disagrees is entitled to their own opinions... but they can sincerely go fuck themselves.
I think they look good. My only problems with the game is the addition of voice acting for the player (limits roleplay - can't RP nearly as many personalities) and makes immersion harder (also, they could at least give us full text, so that we know exactly what we're about to say) and the apparent removal of skills. Other than that, the game looks amazing.
Ok so this is the first video I have ever watched of this guy, started dying when he said his name was Mike Colangelo. If that's his real name then hats off to this guy.
I LOVE the new graphics! It looks more like the first two fallout š, with lots of wastelandey looking colours, but anything pre-war-ish looks colorful! (For example the vault-tec jumpsuits)
saw the press conference ... protagonist actually has a freakin voice, fully cinematic pictured dialogues, like in mass effect or the witcher series. that's a bomb. let's see how this turns out.
I love the graphics, they're a significant improvement (Deathclaw!?). Bethesda truly knows that substance and depth triumph. What would take me out of the immersion in fallout 3 (which they improved in skyrim) was the wonky animations and conversation system. I'm hoping for something really dynamic and fluid. I'm hoping for less glitches. I'm hoping for better physics. But I know that bethesda has some great stories they've cooked up for this game and I can't wait to call in from work and experience them.
gary hall Plus, anyone who has a really nice gaming PCs will be able to handle a bunch of mods. Mods can improve so many things, like graphics. Look at Skyrim and the ENB mods people can get for it. When it comes to Fallout and The Elder Scrolls, someone who has a decent gaming PC probably won't have a fit for graphics because they know they can get mods. The people who are going to be complaining are the casuals.
***** When you say very few PC gamers build/buy $1200 PCs do you mean because most spend less or more? Because I'd say a lot of people spend a whole lot more than that. I definitely know people who have desktops that have cost them around $2000.
I'm actually scared my PC won't handle it. I was blown away by the graphics, little things like dynamic fur doesnt really play a factor. As for Fallout 4 looking kind of cartoony, pretty much all fallouts looked that way. Sure the textures were made to look warn, but I really like the sun and shadows ( Shadows really sell it for me, and those shadows were gorgeous!). Overall, I cant wait for this game.
The problem is that some modder will make it look better in a week on PC. They just didn't put the tiny bit of effort needed to make the PC look better. Better textures, shadow resolution, these are things that could just be cranked up and added as another level setting.
Have people played Fallout 3 and New Vegas? You know back when there wasn't this thing called dynamic lighting and shadows? When edges weren't smooth and any spherical or curved surface and flat edges and corners on it? I don't get why people make 1 million assumptions about a game they haven't even seen gameplay of yet. And to be honest, by the looks of the trailer it looks as though Bethesda have really done some work on their engine, because it looks fantastic compared to the last two (If you want to crap on about graphics) Lets wait until Bethesda releases some actual gameplay before we all jump off a bridge.
What bothers me is the fact that it was a conscious decision. I could understand if it was some little indie group who didn't have a lot of options in the graphics department. But in Bethesda's case the only reason the graphics look like this is because whoever was in charge decided Borderlands, was the way to go over all the many other options they were presented with. The only people I really see bringing up the fact that it looks low-tech other people defending not the people complaining. I think most of the people who have a problem with it are mostly troubled by the style choice not the fact that it looks low tech. I genuinely think people would have been less bothered if Bethesda, had just recycled the graphics from the last two Fallout games. Not that I'm suggesting that would have been ideal.
Well, this is after E3 where my determination was cemented to actually pre-order twice for the pipboy gadget, but even when the trailer came out I was sold. Thank you Tod, thank you Bethesda and thank you Mike for showing that not all people need top of the line graphics to enjoy a game. Also, the graphics were not that bad in my opinion, not when I daw actual gameplay from E3. :-)
fallout have never been a technologic upercut, and that's the case since 1997. Actually i really feels conforted in my good expectations by this not so groundbreaking graphics, it means they focused on content and largeness of the map.
The graphics might not be the most revolutionary, but did you see the detail in the design? Those are some of the most intricately designed environments I've seen lately, I can't wait to pour over every little detail while I loot everything that isn't nailed down!
I am a fallout fan and i think graphics are important because i like to explore the wasteland and the more realistic the graphics the better the experience. FO4 graphics are ok- i would have expected better but just like skyrim bethesda may release an hd texture DLC and modders will also improve the game.
I did expect the graphics to improve, and they did! Yes, they could be better, but if game play and the story are as awesome as the previous Fallout games, it'll more than make up for it.
To the people complaining about the graphics, stop saying this to fallout/Bethesda fans, it all just leads to a huge argument that could've been easily avoided. If a whole bunch of people like something your not going to sway their opinions. But keep your damn opinion to yourself. If you don't like the graphics, don't buy the damn game, stop watching stuff about it and if you don't like the company don't buy their games. Stop the arguments please! For the fans just enjoy the game no matter pc or console, just enjoy the game, and don't give one shit of what the haters think.....please.
I wasn't a fan of the 'Fallout' franchise before, but after watching E3 this year I really think I want to check this game out. And one of the minor reasons I wasn't a fan before is because I thought the games were just ugly. I know they're set in wastelands, but so are the 'Metro' games, and they're gorgeous. But I love the visuals shown for 'Fallout 4.' I love the "cartoony" and "plastic" aesthetic.
This is the first video i watch from this guy, i liked the occasional mocking and sarcasm, but i can't seem to unsee the resemblance of this guy from Stuart from The Big Bang Theory.
How could anyone complain about fallout 4's graphics if it looks way better than fallout new Vegas?
Mrallthat because it is 2015 and not 2010
madroce sorry graphics Don't make a game.
Bitch please , fallout 1 and 2 was all grime nothing looked cartoon-y
Remember when the GAMEPLAY, not the graphics, was what made a game good or bad?
The Big Man Himself When last I looked gameplay, not Aragorn, was king of Rohan - wait... sorry. my bad...
gsimon123 yeah i dont get it
Yeah, remember when Witcher 3 was actually a good game? I don't. Just looks good.
I just don't understand. I love the graphics; they look great.
systempatcher
I agree. I mean, look at Battlefield 4. Sure, it's got great graphics but it's a shit game, so I don't play it. I look at it for 2 seconds and then go "I know this game. I've seen it before, and it's old. It's shit. I'm gonna play something better instead."
The graphics look great to me too, really loving it. Especially after the actual gameplay footage.
ROG 13:37 Plus it's an rpg. Since when do graphics matter in a freakin' rpg game? I think the most important factors are story, audio and gameplay.

Yeah, man.
Thane Krios
It's funny, because when I saw the ad for the new Star Wars Battlefront, I completely dismissed it. A few years ago, I would probably have thought it looked amazing. Now, it just made me think of Battlefield 4 and I'm pretty sure that's what it's going to be like. And I'm so in that thought, that the graphics (which according to them, should amaze) just have no positive effect on my view of the game.
Fallout is meant to be cartoony, so the graphics are fine in my opinion.
Wehrmacht Lyle me too.
Wehrmacht Lyle yea i have on problem looks aweome im a real fallout fan so i dont mind!
Wehrmacht Lyle we'll enjoy it unlike some graphic nazis out there. WAR....WAR NEVER CHANGES
Yeah. I feel like it's supposed to be like a 50's poster, not amazingly realistic.
Wehrmacht Lyle I agree, actually they look better than I expected.
The way I see it, i would have been fine with the old graphics, so the improved ones are just the icing on the cake... or whatever that phrase is...
Fuck off not a real fan if you even said you were cause mostly the game is about location creatures and guns who cares for graphics
Andrew Clum He said he didnt care about graphics...
Andrew Clum Why the hell are you offended?
Andrew Clum Boy, you're really stupid aren't you.
Miss this channel, I know Mike ain’t coming back but he had a unique charm to his humor.
I think art style and color are more important than graphics
Fallout 3 taught me that
michael Pierce Fallout 3 had color? lol
art, yes
Captain Karnage Art style and colour can only do so much when a game is trying to be realistic. I'm sure Fallout 4 will be fine, and even more fine after 2-3 years worth of texture mods, but if it looks like Fallout 3 texture wise, yeah that shit wouldn't fly... that game is fugly by todays standards without mods
Captain Karnage Exactly. But either is nice. Uncharted 4 looks stunning because of it's realism, the art isn't lacking but it's not exactly exciting. Fallout 4 is stunning for the art and not much else.
Jimbob Slaughtersmurf why do you want realistic graphics, isn't gaming about escaping from reality.
I just really hope they improve the fluidity and animations. That's all I want
Obi Alfred It looks like they did, like watch the dog and the people when running. Its still not super fluid, but they aren't bad.
Austyn Gillis
Yeah the ghouls move amazingly. I've noticed that the first time I've seen the trailer. I'm just worried about player, npc and combat animations.
Obi Alfred Bethesda games tend to have the worst animations in AAA games. It is always the first thing i try to mod in.
WHY DOES EVERYONE THINK THAT THOSE GRAPHICS SUCK, I THINK THEY LOOK AMAZING!!!!
Mason Rose Not everything has to be photo realistic
Mason Rose So true
Ryuko Matoi What? Wha?
because they never played games on the ps1...
And unoptimized
ppl mods are a thing. have you seen the community for Skyrim? there are MANY graphics mods there, i think there are gonna be mods for this one.
Randomdeath5 it shouldn't need mods they should stop being lazy and improve graphics!! #BudgetCuts
Ruthless Fun stop whining bro
Hisoka dont call him names, hes only six!
Ruthless Fun Wow, LOL. fanboy of the year here. Ya they're fucking lazy, fanboy. They'll improve the graphics no doubt if they want a blockbuster game of the year.
No Fallout has ever had amazing graphics, or even an amazing physics engine. It's all about roleplaying and getting immersed in the world.
Avakadoman1995 Fucking exactly. People are getting spoiled with all the new games almost focused on graphics. But, we should be getting used to it, as time goes on, but, I wasnt expecting real life physics and graphics. I also think both look good, btw. People are just expecting too much.
Avakadoman1995 Yeah, have fun doing that when the game looks like complete and utter shit.
We will, because we actually care about the main aspects of games. Give me graphics from 2005, I don't give a shit as long as it plays well and has a good story.
Joker Could you be more generic?
Nathan Tibbetts Could you be more of a douche?
Children: Alright! A new game to take up my ample free time!
Tweens/Manchildren: This doesn't meet all my impossible entitled expectations! It shouldn't even exist!
Adults With Lives: Alright. A new game to take up my limited free time.
Gameplay is way more important.
Emil Brandwyne BTW what about Borderlands? It was a very funny game and hálso had thiese cartoon graphics.
Emil Brandwyne Borderlands isn't trying to make a graphic intense game, the cartoon type graphics is their style.
+Emil Brandwyne you totally out of youre mind borderland have cartoon graphic but not fallout 4 realy not
Yeah but Borderlands is sill fun because of tha gameplay and so fallout 4 should be more about the gameplay than graphics ;)
thats exactly my point.
01:57
RIP my sides
Fallout 4's graphics looks good to me, the gameplay looks awesome to me.
Same cant wait for its release
I really like the colourful art style, couldn't give less of a fuck about the graphics
I agree with you and i am really intrested what the story is and what is the players part in it
I love the Fallout 3 color palette.
Luckily that looks hugely improved as well
M Shevchenko your last name reminds me of a really talented soccer player i idolized growing up has a kid, Andrey Shevchenko...
Personally, I don't care much about graphics. I just love the Fallout *lore* and story of different faction that I would meet.
And I do want a *Deathclaw* as a pet tho.
Game designers keep fucking up by having consoles in mind.
At the end of the day they're a business and consoles create the profit
Leafshockeyftw That is true, but it doesnt mean they should keep ruining games just to make it playable on consoles
Divine Pc Master Race How is making games for consoles ruining them?
Divine Pc Master Race there are plenty of exclusive games that try to push graphics to they're limits and there are also mods. there's nothing wrong with devs trying to give everyone a good game no matter what they play on
Leafshockeyftw Well I dont appreciate how they take features away from the game to make it playable on consoles.
I like that you did this video. People need to chill the fuck out. I can't wait for Fallout 4 - good job Bethesda!
Aaron Ross So many trolls, its not funny...well ok a little but still so many trolls!
Aaron Ross Why don't you go play the fucking Atari if "graphics don't matter".
Bradd1122 The games playing quality is what is most important, if the game cant run smoothly then what the fuck is the point of maximum graphics you idiot.
Bradd1122
I didn't say it didn't matter, what I did say is that I'm excited for the game. People are bitching over a trailer for fucks sake. Stop crying, get over it or don't buy the game at release. Simple.
Playing fallout for the graphics is like watching porn for the story....
"Let's go pal", does that mean your tail is gonna wiggle??? :D
Fallout 4 has been in development for FOUR years, ofcourse the graphics ain't gonna be like the latest Assassin's Creed that comes out every year.
鄭皓宇 Dude Fallout is a MUCH bigger game.
Vlad the Manpire
bigger means better world design and better quest design, NOT better graphics.
graphics doesn't fucking matter.
鄭皓宇
That is what I was saying.
I thought you were using sarcasm.
鄭皓宇 You say that yet i bet if they downgraded the graphics to fallout 3 you would complain
Fulvic
no I won't, I am a console player, to me graphics are always good enough, the Witcher 3 ''downgrade'' doesn't really bother me, I only wish the framerate was better on PS4.
Am I the only one who likes the graphics?
I like em too
Consensual Gaming Here, here!
It is really fucking stupid how some people start talking shit about the game even though we haven't even seen any real gameplay. Some people just need to get nuked.
Consensual Gaming I think only a few of us didnt have over the top graphical expectations for this. But it looks amazing. Better than skyrim, for sure.
"one of the greatest additions is the dog"
It's good they are using the enhanced new engine to expand the world and make it bigger instead of cutting things for ultra realistic graphics. It looks great to me and I can't wait to see how expansive it is!
The Master Race need not worry its self about graphics. While a meager disappointment, it is something we can fix ourselves, alongside the modded weapons, armor, gameplay, mechanics, unofficial bug fixes that none of the official patches fix... I could go on and on. Oh, and the inevitable online mod we shall make.
Unlike the peasants. The peasants have what they are given by their lords. No more. No less.
Well the peasant race now can have pc supported mods so...
But despite that. HAIL THE MASTER RACE. Because i agree, pc is better. No sarcasm intended.
Aldo Reyes I will take that as a compliment. Thank you very much!
07? Playing EVE by any chance?
Caius Filimon Haha no, I used to play Dust 514. But close enough 07
Aldo Reyes You're missing out on plenty for not playing EVE ;P
I wish I had the time for Eve :/
Fallout's graphics have always been a little cartoon-y. Fits that 1950s vision of the future feel.
I thought the game looked fine. I like the added colors.
I dont care about the graphics.....
I dont care about the voice....
I ONLY WANT MORE CUSTOMIZASION
jimideus Mods will do that for you, and lord gaben if you pray to him every night.
jimideus Yeah- Skyrim did good, but the other fallouts were shit.
This was amazing, I subbed because of the dog/geralt comparison comment
hey atleast it will run on my shit computer! woo
Who cares about the graphics when you know in a month NMC will have a texture pack for it.
...oh yeah, not on consoles tho.
Or pc gamers can stfu for five seconds and enjoy the game
Ben doug PC is more customization and has way more games and better ones at that. just had to get that out of the way.
Consoles will actually have mods this time around. At least for fallout 4. Even then I just wanna fucking make my own settlement already
***** did you see e3? Yes they will. Windows 10 will allow such a thing. Todd Howard even said so lol
No you're not understanding. The mods are going to work for both systems and pc. It just will.
Dude you're fucking hilarious.
Really enjoy your informative reports, and you are hilarious! Two thumbs up. Thanks.
I'm glad it's not to good of graphics, plus, the graphics really are not that bad.
nubemuffin GOOD- That means the game will run well on all PCs and not be a POS buggy pile of puke
nubemuffin As they progress throughout the years, they try to make it perform on a PC in the future.
I'd take excellent Gameplay over excelent graphics any day
gunmunz
it's all vanilla.
CyberspaceWanderer and I'm saying that some less than uber tier graphics is fair sacrifice for great gameplay.
Hell yea!! PC overlords!! People who would spend 10 grand on graphics card, to play a video game! WHOO! People who know how to spend money wisely!!
*****
When I can get a $400-300 x box or ps and sit back on a couch entread of a shitty gaming chair.
Tiki Torchs looks like you have some pretty fuckin bad chairs then LOL
i sit in my gaming chair when i play pc or console
Jabbour Nathan
Not as good as my couch. I sit in chairs for 6 to 7 hrs in school, why the hell do I want to sit in one when I want to play a game
+Tiki Torchs
I literally just built a computer capable of playing all the latest titles at the highest settings for $400 CAD.
Hey, first vid i saw.. Really good jornalism, great host also. Keep with the good work!
"how did you get that into your mouth"
I was eating pizza watching this...
Just found your channel, and thank you.
I love the graphics compared to the previous games and current games. Also going with the voice of the protagonist, I think that they will add in a voice selector for each gender like in Firefall when you customize your own character.
Couldn't have said it better myself.
I miss this channel ;-;
Just found you right now and i love you xD subbing!
First time watching one of your videos, subscribed after, "if someone said that to me my tail would be wagging too I'm gay." 10/10
Yeah, people also seem to be forgetting the amount of graphical enhancement mods for FO3, FNV, and Skyrim.
Dynamic hair on a dogs tail, because it definitely matters
2019. Still a huge fan
saw the press conference ... protagonist actually has a freakin voice, fully cinematic pictured dialogues, like in mass effect or the witcher series. that's a bomb. let's see how this turns out.
The more it looks like 1 and 2 but with next gen features and gameplay, the more happy I becomes
yeah come on people stop crying that your $1200 pc is downgraded to what a console can handle
***** tbh if you want that nostalgic feel just play fallout 3 or new vegas or get an xbox 360/ps3
gary hall Plus, anyone who has a really nice gaming PCs will be able to handle a bunch of mods.
I definitely know people who have desktops that have cost them around $2000.
butteredbread100 i dont own a filthy console!
Pc peasants fuck you all
I'm actually scared my PC won't handle it.
If anyone is wondering as to why he hasn't been uploading, it's because he has quit making videos, check his Twitter :(
pure comedic gold. I like this guy.
It was at this (1:18) moment that I realized this guy is awesome.
Subscribed.
In my opinion they even look real sometimes, look at the gameplay when he is,looking at the pipboy, looks like real life
What bothers me is the fact that it was a conscious decision.
I just love that they gave the protagonist a voice
Your funny, Commical, And honest and an amazing youtuber
fallout have never been a technologic upercut, and that's the case since 1997. Actually i really feels conforted in my good expectations by this not so groundbreaking graphics, it means they focused on content and largeness of the map.
Graphics look really good, I like where they are going with this. Not to mention all the mods that will be released. The E3 preview, OMG cant wait.
Like the graphics and I really like the fallout series
so I was thinking maybe I should get it as my first pc game
The graphics might not be the most revolutionary, but did you see the detail in the design? Those are some of the most intricately designed environments I've seen lately, I can't wait to pour over every little detail while I loot everything that isn't nailed down!
I've allways tought of Fallout as a 50's Sci-Fi cartoon predicting the Nuclear apocolypse in the future. I think Cartoonish fits great.
+Cedric Welch This is some deep stuff, couldnt say this better.
I miss Mike he cracked me up while also being informative.
Thank you so very much, this point needed to be made.
I sure hope I'm not the only one who got the "deepthroat a nuka cola" reference... :P It was a reference to Fisto right?
I believe most people forget the brotherhood/power armor looks badass
This is the first video i watch from this guy, i liked the occasional mocking and sarcasm, but i can't seem to unsee the resemblance of this guy from Stuart from The Big Bang Theory.
That's why I'm getting PC version to mod with graphical overhauls and ENB
What's the name of the song playing the backround? I've heard it somewhere but I can't remember where and it's killing me.
NO I WON'T STOP and I DON'T need someone to tell me what I should do or not! FACT is the game doesn't LOOK LIKE IT COULD "DOT"
I don't know about the graphics, but I thought the animations and the fluidity and the way the characters move are absolutely awesome
the graphics look very high res especially for pre-release gameplay demo being released in October.
The Suit at end is Scary; Like nightmare worthy
Even if the graphics were big pixels, I would still play it.
"Through the grapevine", saw what you did there ;D.
Tears, Tears never Change
If the fur has nvidia hairworks I will gag myself with a tennis ball
I think it looks great. It is a lot more colorful where it needs to be, and a lot more barren where it needs it.
