  • Over the past few days, Kroger has changed the way fuel points appear on the pump screen. It is causing some customers to believe that some of their points that they have been saving for weeks have vanished.

I feel like Kroger has intentionally made it almost impossible to redeem your points so that they don't have to give them to you. I'll be filing a complaint and will no longer shop at Kroger/Fred Meyer until this new system is fixed.

I used this new system for the first time yesterday. The pen pad is on the fuel pump. Seems to me if Kroger wanted me to not stand there and feel like a fool for not knowing, they could have put up a sign directing me to the pen pad. I won't be going back to Kroger for gas. Too many other options for gas are available.

My issue is that I'm never given the option to redeem more than 10cents at a time. I have over 300pts, therefore I should have the option to redeem 30cents 🙄

It appears there is no way to redeem last month’s points AND this month’s points. I have 20 points that will expire at the end of the month and 50 for the current month. I need to use last month’s points so I don’t use them but want more than 20 cents off.

This is BS...Once you earn these points they should be kept in your account until used...There should also be a selection where you can use all availble points if wanted....

Three times a year you can carry your points over just by calling customer service

I went yesterday and I thought my points would roll over because they always do from the previous month and they told me they’ve never done that. I think they ate trying to mess with people…idk…weird.

Yeah, mine always rolled over...if u look at your paper receipt u get w/ groceries, it tells when points expire from previous month or months.

May quit getting Krogers gas since they have changed. I remember being able to pick whichever was more discount.

It is fall of 2023 and the display has changed again. Now, option 3 is "choose the amount" and option 4 is .03 discount.

Find other places of business that actually treat their customers with respect, that give their customers what they paid for and do not find ways to scam the customers out of every dime they have, which is FRAUD.

I won’t be using Kroger for gas anymore, for this reason….I also will not be spending my just plain earned dollars on groceries there either…I feel like this is deliberate, and just plain bad practice. I’ve spent too much money on groceries there, just to earn these points, and then only to find that they’re making it very difficult to cash in my point rewards.

They have been doing this for years, but now they are more blatant about it. I fuel up everywhere else, I will not give them a dime more than I have to. They are a fraudulent Corporation.

My first time fueling up at Kroger was yesterday, I have 26.61 in savings, got .03 cents off, indeed confusing.

I just found this out the hard way today getting gas for my car. I truly and honestly feel that Kroger is deliberately doing this to confuse customers and keep them from using their fuel points. This is the only reason I had been shopping at Kroger was for the fuel pumps and now they want to play politics like the bastards in Washington and try to keep you from using your points. I couldn't figure it out so of course I had to go with just the 3 cents. Well that was my last time shopping at Kroger. I will start going to food lion now if they want to play this game. I'm not saying that I will never get gas at Kroger again, I will since gas is the same price everywhere with out points. I just will not do my grocery shopping there anymore if they are doing everything they can from keeping my points away from me. And besides that Kroger customer service is lousy now.

      Are your points rolling over??

@@arwenrivendale sorry for the late reply. I'm guessing my points are rolling over since they are still there. I had to watch a video about this issue to learn how this new system works and it actually does appear that the points do rollover so this isn't bad after all but there should be a notice of some sort from Kroger when they do stuff like this.

For years, I have been complaining to Kroger foods about their points program. I am shocked there has not been a mass protest or a huge class action lawsuit against them for 100% FRAUD. Kroger only acknowledges your fuel points if it is at least 100 points. By the end of a month, if you have only 98 points, it will carry that month over, but it will not give you the fuel discount. So then why carry it over, to shove it in the consumers face? Kroger DOES not accumulate points from one month to the next. So if you have a hard time getting past 100 points in a month, kroger rewards it's customers with a big middle finger up at you by carrying over your 98 points, but not giving you a cent for them at the pump. DOCUMENT EVERY TIME YOU TAKE THE SURVEY BY DATE AND TIME, NEGATIVE OR POSITIVE FEEDBACK AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS.
If you take their online KROGER FEEDBACK survey to get an extra 50 points added to your card, make sure you DO NOT give a negative feedback, because they WILL NOT give you those survey points with your honest complaints. I complained three surveys in a row AND THEY GAVE ME ZERO POINTS. THE 4TH SURVEY I GAVE A POSITIVE FEEDBACK AND FINALLY GOT THOSE POINTS. Fry's Food / Kroger are crooks.
Kroger ends each points accumulation for that month, the last day of the month. Every 7 days, you can take the survey and get an extra 50 point. So if you take the survey on the very last day of the month to get a final 50 points added, you CANNOT take the same survey on the 1st of the next month, because they will carry over the 7 day program into the following month, rather than starting on the 1st like they do with the points program. For Example: if you took the survey on the last day of June, being the 30th to get an extra 50 + points, you will have to wait until July 7th before taking your next survey. You would think that it would be on July 1st you could start a new month out with 50+ points. All designed to rip the customer off from their rewards they did in "good faith" to accumulate points. Almost every month I have points that fall under the 100 point minimum, Example: (145 points), So I will get 100 points for that month at 10Cents off a gallon at the pump, Kroger will carry over the useless 45 points that fall short of a 100, and I will completely lose out on the 45 points earned. If they carried those points over to accumulate the next month, it could actually benefit you. Kroger makes sure they win over their customers everytime. Kroger needs to be protested for a month and lose billions like Bud Light, to send a message we will not tolerate your FRAUDULENT business practice.
Kroger will do everything in their power to make sure they short change the customers with their fuel points program as well as their fictitious sales on the inside of the store. For example:
Kroger runs store wide sales on many products telling you how much the product is with your Fry's Card on a big sign or banner. But wait until you get to the check out line to find out well over 50% of everything you thought was on sale, is actually full price. Kroger counts on people not watching as the product is being scanned. Kroger also uses human behavior to know that when something is supposed to be on sale, but shows full price when you get to the register, that most people are in a hurry, shopped when they were really hungry and crave the product, or just do not want to go through the hassle of trying to get a sales price check for the (fraudulent sales item) so they buy it anyways at full price. And that is what these billion dollar scam Corporations like Kroger are doing to it's customers.
Kroger is a parasitic Corporation that runs scams on their customers. It is a scam, because they get away with lying to the customers, shorting them on fuel points, not accumulating points when you even one point short of 100 (99) and depriving you of your fuel discount.
You can fight back. Report them to your state agencies for consumer fraud. If they do not give you your points, then go fill up at another gas station that week, dont give Kroger the benefit of getting your money at the pump when they just denied your points because they were not at the 100 points. Do not support these parasite Billion dollar, money hungry scam artist on the board of directors who thinks this is amusing business practice for profit, because it actually is a Federal crime to knowingly deprive your customers of advertised sale items and then charge full price KNOWINGLY doing this on 50% of your sale items. It is an interstate commerce crime, because they are doing this in numerous states, making it a Federal crime and these Corporate board of director need to go to jail for this.
