Just bought a used 2022 12 foot trailer just like this one. 👍👍
Trust me that ram jack in the front is not overkill figured out mine is messed up so ordered a new rod for the inside.

That is an awesome trailer! Well constructed too. The sides you built will serve you well. Thanks for sharing.

Nice trailer, I just bought one exactly like it. I like the way you added the 2x10's to it. I think you can also remove the bushings on each side of the top of the back gate and pull it down like a truck gate if you want.

Yeah I just bought a 2024 version of this trailer and a few months ago a 2013 version with 4" drop axles. They all have different features. Seems like they keep tweaking the design. I wish they would improve the hinge and latch for the doors because the welds crack and the doors don't stay open. I've already had the left door on the 2022 not latch and swing open without me noticing and I lifted the trailer and destroyed the door. Had to have it fixed by a welder. And the 2013 hinges have been gobbed with welds and just had it repainted and re-welded again. It seems they could find a better way to do it.

The only complaint I have is the battery doesn't charge off the truck!!! I called the dealership and they said the new trailers don't do that anymore! It has a plug built into the side and you have to plug it in. I bought a solar panel battery maintainer but it's not big enough so I have to get a bigger one

Could you please provide the dimensions of the wood you used? I just got this same trailer and am looking to build it out. Also, the types of bolts used would be appreciated. Thanks.

Question, is there a reason why you didn’t use treated wood?

i love it! Only problem is the battery doesn't charge off the truck so I bought a solar panel kit that I'm going to install soon. The only way to charge it right now is plug it into the house

hey man, Im looking at getting my first dump trailer and was curious how that pj has held up?

    • @BorsellinoHomeServices

Rusts like crazy. The hinge welds kind of suck and crack and the doors don't close properly. I bought another one (2024 model) and I was very disappointed with the build quality versus the 2022. They definitely cheaped out or hired a welder who doesn't know how to weld. The stick that holds it in the lifted position doesn't line up AT ALL with the slot it's designed to go in. The 2022 model was assembled/welded better. I did a comparison of my PJ vs my buddies Sure-Trac and the PJ's frame is WAAAAAAAYYYYYY more heavy duty. That's why I got another PJ. And I had a Bri-Mar before that and it was a freaking rust bucket rot box. It towed and lifted awesome and mechanically was great but it was worse than swiss cheese. Did so much welding on it and couldn't get ahead of the rot so I sold it for a loss. Honestly I don't think any company builds these things to last. Powder coat sucks and chips and peels off, I don't care what brand it is. Note: I am in NY and lots of salt on the road in winter, but these start rusting even before winter

What size boards are those? Trying to do the same thing to my trailer!

Ha you too? Just was doing mine today. I went to a garage door installer, and got a couple old 16' door panels and used those rather than wood. Really sharp looking, but will see how the hold up. Feels nice and sturdy but time will tell.

sorry im way behind on replying to comments. They are 2x10's. I debated over using 10's or 12's and I've been happy with the 10's. They made the trailer 12+ cubic yards instead of being 7+ without sides

I think it was black farm & implement paint from tractor supply. It's just whatever I had at my shop

it's not stealing that's why I made the video! I even added a solar panel to it to keep the battery charged but i stupidly didn't make a video about it
