Also if you need to reverse in deep snow, your flap will flip up and stay up out of the way. Only works with the standard bumper, which you have. Great machine, put 3000 kilometres on ours last year, absolutely love it! Dave in n.b😀🇨🇦
I owned one for a short while but had to sell it due to some financial hardship. I also bought it primarily for ice fishing but its an awesome trail sled too. I only had the 900 Ace without the turbo and it still had plenty of power and would top out near 80mph. You gain 35 hp with your turbo and the new Turbo R in '23 is 180hp! I'm not quite sure the latter is a justifiable ice fishing machine though- unless you know of a private lake at the top of a mountain somewhere. All that said, I'm ordering a new one next month (during Snow Check 2023) and hopefully will have it late fall. I miss it- by far the nicest utility sled I've ever seen or owned. Congrats. I think you made the right choice in buying a new Expedition- don't see any reason it won't last you a very long time in your Winter pursuits and recreation. That beast can pull near 1500 pounds too........
We’re really happy with it so far. Like you said, by far the best sled I’ve ever owned!! Went out in 14” of fresh powder and it didn’t slow down once. Get on the snow check as soon as you can..they limited out fast last snow check.
I`m like you regarding buying new. The only vehicles I`ve ever bought new are my 2013 Yamaha Grizzly 700 and my wife`s 2011 Yamaha Kodiak 450 that we ended up selling because we didn`t use them enough and now I snow checked a 2024 Expedition SE with 900 ACE no turbo.
Good clip Josh! I do have the exact same sled. You probably know it but just in case.... If you plan to ride with your daughter deep in the wood, get yourself a winch. This sled is super heavy. It goes mostly anyhere but you WILL get stuck and no way you will unjam that thing with your strength. We use the winch a lot with that thing. Not luxury if you plan to go far. Trust me.
It’s a full one piece helmet. It’s a Skidoo BV2s. Has the flip up heated shield, and drop down breath box that vents out of the helmet to help prevent fogging. I appreciate the views and comment.
How is it for trail riding, I'am not a fast rider and ride a 2up pantera and would like something with a low range for grooming trails. Do you think that would work?
Honestly, I haven’t done much of any trail riding with it. We’re way behind on snow and cold temps here in Maine. But I would feel confident saying these expeditions are a great crossover sled. They groom awesome, and are very comfortable on the trail, especially with a second rider. If your not concerned about being the fastest, and most agile, it sounds like the Exp would be perfect for you.
Awesome sled
Can’t wait to see what you add for mods
Congrats again
Thanks. Going to be an ongoing project

A winch is definitely on the plan for next year. No muscling these sleds around. Especially when they’re loaded with snow!!
@@precisionanglingYT Yeah and the BRP one is WAY overpriced. You will probably figure it out and fit something else to your own taste lol
I’ll be interested to see if you opt for wide ski skins. All of the wardens and rangers I see up north that run Expeditions have them.
Them are on the wish list. Skid plate is likely the first I’ll add
Nice Sled!
Really happy with it so far
Your helmet and face mask .is it 2 peices or all one what brand. Good job on your videos I like watching thanks

Where in Maine are you. I have a camp in the forks
Skowhegan!!
@@precisionanglingYT that's awesome man I'm on pleasant pond. Camps been in my family since the 60's. Best place in the world.
@@turbor9770 Nice…it’s awesome up that way!!

How much money for a machine like that ?
Mine was 16.5K new. Heard the 23s were 17.5-18.5K.
