I have a large supply of scrap HTPE that I try to use often. Unfortunately, the stuff is best when extruded. The pressure must bind the fibers, I guess. Melts easy, cuts easy but, the drip/melt and press method leaves a brittle surface that can flake / chip / crack with pitting that requires glazing putty and primer to hide imperfections.

You can get a Nils with a center point so you can over lap wholes.

Frank Deluca does all my Nils sharpening and he does a A+ job. He hand tests every blade before he sends it back to you. They come back to you better than new.

Nils is heavier yes but it's longer, way faster n smoother. I love my Nils. I can cut 1 handed with the 6" if I want.

Some guys drill holes on plate and run a bungee cord around drill.

Can I use this same process to fill a 10lb tank or another 20lbs tank. Some videos show the person heating one tank and cooling the tank you are filling but your process does not do that....why not.

What is rivet holding? I nothing critical remove it. Also stress is from inside when you step on it. I recommend brazing from inside the hull. Then you can braze outside.
