I wanted to hear what they had coming up for the next weekend. Jeeezus Simon looked so young, probably because he was, and 🤓 Damon looked the same as he does now.
Why all the hate for Sky? I watch them at home and the BBC when I'm at Uni and there is very little difference. Both are far better than ITV - I hope we can all agree on that.
I wish the bbc had full coverage so i could actually record and keep each race on bluray disc, somethin i cant do with sky. However, i'll give credit where its due, sky have done a great job with their coverage and presenters plus all the other after race stuff, somethin if you've watched it you would have to agree with.
Just a quick question, as im on a brundle watch-a-thon (maybe the first ever?). How do you think Sky compares to bbc now? My f1 experience has mainly been a tiny bit of bbc (Murray /James), itv, then a couple of years bbc and then sky ever since, tho for the last few years i hardly get chance to watch. Because a lot of the same people have worked all those broadcasts, i haven't really thought of the differences. Hope you're well and good and staying safe. Edit - maybe ignore the 'quick' part ;)
Sky has much better coverage, brundle best commentator at present, awesome grid walk, tooned, extensive interviews, love sky coverage only watch BBC when i have to. Like everyone else says it would be better if BBC has it all but sky have done a great job, and if they are crap why did they win best f1 coverage for 2012?
Bit of a daft comment that. To many people who love this sport a lot, what's more important, paying over the top prices to have some silly sky package to get skyF1? or providing food for your family, paying your bills and surviving? I know what I would choose and it wouldn't be the sky package. You can still be a true fan of something you love even if you have limited funds for it. Then again it depends what lavage lives we all lead sponging off our families, I certainly don't....
How is sky so shitty? This is a genuine question as my experiences are limited to watching f1 broadcasts from live streams on the internet. Usually I watch the one from sky as it is one of the only ones with proper video quality and English commentators.
i used to hate sky but i got it for this season and the coverage on there is pretty good, only thing i'd change is rather have jake humphries being the main presenter than the current idiot
He may have finally realised how much he could have achieved if he didn't blame his team, moan all the time and have silly demands; he thought he was better than he actually was. Williams knew and happily let him go. That's how I remember it anyway lol. Could've easily got 2 or 3 titles.
All you Sky-haters cannot surely compare the complete, well supported coverage that they have shown all year, with the Three Stooges, Humphrey, Coulthard and Irvine, all trying to score points off each other, wasting time on 'fashion' comments, that you have with the BBC. Croft and Davidson were superb together on 5Live and red button, Brundle of course, the ex-drivers contributions [with only one exception] even 'the girls', have shown my first fears completely unwarranted.
He was... He won the race... Technically made him 2 places better than Lewis, Jenson has the number 3 on his car, Lewis has number 4. One number better.
Well i've been following F1 for years and I agree. I don't know much do I? I can't see how if the coverage is better it means you don't know much about F1... Funny that
Gotta love that kind of youtube-heroes, if only they didn't spend so much time infront of the screen they might save our economy and political systems. '
Well, besides the fact you have to pay for sky (what i only just read somewhere on this comment page), I think Sky isnt that bad? Sure i liked it better when DC and brundle did the commentary for BBC together but the race reviews from sky are pretty good.. On BBC im irritating my ass off at Eddie Jordan, and on Sky at Johnny Herbert, Damon Hill is great, a real win for Sky. But that Sky asks money for it.. hmm that sucks.. ah well I download it from piratebay anyway -.-
I've been watching F1 for over 42 years on tv, and have attended over 30 F1 races around the globe and I say that Sky is shit and BBC is excellent. How's that for "You're Wrong" ?
That's also because British people care alot of amongst themselves, example every time a British driver wins pole, race, championship, etc etc, the commentators goes crazy, especially if they are British too. Same ego as Americans.
Just cancelled Sky. Got it for F1 and after watching a season its probably the most commercially useless coverage I've ever watched. Crofty completely spoils the starts with his over the top excitement which drowns out the sound of the start. Hill and Brundle never look as comfortable as at the BBC. That Sky pad thing keeps failing which by the way is pants. The only down side in returning to the BBC is the useless leprechaun. I know, I'll get an astra dish and watch it on RTL!
Senna failed to finish ahead of Schumacher in the standings in 92, Schumi's first full season in F1 and the Benetton was no match for the raw-pace of that McLaren Honda. Senna had dominant cars for at least 2 of his 3 championships and once he didn't have a dominant car, he was moaning about it and went to Williams. Schumacher on the other hand went to Ferrari, a team which was struggling since years and hasn't won a single title since 1979 - and he won 5 WDC. Schumi>> Senna.
I'd rather have the limited BBC coverage than a whole season of Sky. BBC shows all the best parts of the races in the higlights anyway, and their coverage and commentators are better.
I'm not responding to your points becaue I've seen hundreds of people like you on YT already. They (just as you) are resistant to any kind of advice or valid point, so there actually is no point in replying to your points - you won't change your mind, just as much as I won't chance mine. You're right about the inferiority-complex thing, it's still early in the morning where I live so that might explain it. Now hush hush, go and celebrate you YT-win with a glass of champagne. ;) Bye bye
tarksable Are you 4 real ? SkyF1 coverage destroys BBC ? Sky has constant adverts - constant coverage sponsored by Rolex or Shell V Power plus interlude's & Now constant repeats I must of seen the Rosberg steering wheel explanation & Webbers interview 12 times lately ! Where's all this subscription money going ? Not on new footage for us clearly ! The only thing SKY has going for them is they have all the best commentators but before leaving BBC they were all there & No adverts. BBC did rule !!
This is a subjective argument not an objective argument. You can think what you wan't, it doesn't influence what I think. You're obviously disillusioned, perhaps a little nap will do for you.
Love how this guy drifts off to be lead singer of Coldplay as well, anything he cannot do!
LOL. Always thought Jenson and Chris looked like twins.
🤣🤣🤣👏👏👏
the rich brits keep a small gene pool
Gold!
@@RacingSimSupportabsolutely not. Jenson is way better looking!
Nothing will beat the mighty team of Brundle and Murray Walker. I wish both were there along with the mysterious Pit Lane Ted.
Rest in Horsepower dear Sir Murray Walker!
@@frshkmyfrzl Great reply my friend Jay Ireland
Yes it did, Murray Walker and James Hunt
Sorry, Murray and Hunt. Nothing will ever beat that duo. Murray keeping the pace and Hunt brutally honest and mostly drunk.
@@chrish4469 Aaaah!! That was before my time. I've had to go watch videos. James Hunt was a savage with his honesty!
Can't believe it's been 10 years already. Button was a great F1 driver and a real Playboy. One might say, the poster guy of F1.
The one thing I miss about ITV is James Allon. He was great, and his website reports are a lot better than Gary Anderson's also.
I miss his commentary too. Him and Brundle were my favourite duo since Murray Walker/Brundle.
Don't agree. From the best commentator we EVER had in Murray,to the worst in James Allen
@@markc8956 lol
Are you nuts? Or just on smack?
I loved James Allen’s commentary, his calls in Suzuka 2005 and Brazil 2008 will always stay with me.
I wanted to hear what they had coming up for the next weekend.
Jeeezus Simon looked so young, probably because he was, and 🤓 Damon looked the same as he does now.
0.21 his eyes were like 'here comes the teacher...' lol
Im sure he is still number 1 in the sense that he is more liked than hamilton at mclaren.
Yes, I know. I have every issue between 1998-2007.
I never quite liked his work in the mag, though.
jeez 9 years ago!
just to clarify. sky dose not show adverts during the race.
Back in the days when Jenson thought he was #1 at McLaren... ow, that was only 3 months ago.
10 years ago now
@@jackcampbell278711 years now, we are getting old, fooch!!
They called him ‘Martin Van Camp’ ….hilarious 😂🤣
Why all the hate for Sky? I watch them at home and the BBC when I'm at Uni and there is very little difference. Both are far better than ITV - I hope we can all agree on that.
I agree with you! The only good thing about Sky's F1 coverage is getting to see Natalie Pinkham
8 years on and she's still smokin hot.
PinkHam for a reason
WOW you don't realise how long Simon has been doing F1 till u see this video from 9 years ago, soon to be 10 years as this is December 2021
Title is misleading, they were actually on the way to the Team Photo after the Race
Well said mate, couldn't agree more!
I miss Jenson, he's got way more charisma than Hamilton.
Hamilton dressed in rainbow panda Minsk fur: Wakanda Forever!

Something to do with Press relations - used to be the other side of the fence as editor of F1 Racing Magazine
Yo, what season is this? I wanna have something to watch on my way to 2024.
Funny how he's never gotten a pole for McLaren.

The last time Mclaren was a well ran team
2012 was a great year for Jenson. Absolutely smoked Hamilton, which was surprising.
I meant 2011. Scrap that comment then.
@@mattjc1021 Was going to say! McLaren had an incredibly fast car in 2012, Hamilton could and should have challenged for the championship.
@@mattjc1021 He didn't smoke him in 2011 either. Hamilton outqualified him 13-6 and they both won 3 races.
I really thought Merc would hire Button to replace Rosberg.
Smoked Lewis? That’s a Joke!!
What is Matt Bishop's role within the team?
Where else did he win?
australian gp?
yes
Same! cant beat BBC :)
BBC have not lost out by not having Brundle anymore. The Edwards/Coulthard commentary partnership is much better than the Brundle/Croft partnership.
Bit of a daft comment that. Martin brundle is a boss, doesnt give a fuck about anyone 😂
I didn't say he did.
which race was this?
@Mike Jones It's 2012 Australian GP. Not that your answer helped.
Then why did you write that then?

Perhaps they won the award because they covered all the races since they threw a load of money at the contract?
