Martin is always so gracious and thoughtful. Never skirts the questions. Always adds detail to what he’s said in order to further clarify the point. Have really come to enjoy his perspective, and it’s just another reason why F1 was right to globalize the coverage including the US. He’s the real thing.

@@Mcquiz95 I agree, but it seems to be different for him - it's more a personal fondness and professional admiration coming through, rather than the straight-up propagandising you get from Croft, Hill and the like.

As a Dutch Max-fan I might add: there is no British bias. Indeed, I admire Sky F1 and F1TV for a rather impartial love for the sport in last years. Sir Brundle is the best, so wellspoken. Now, let's talk FIA bias ...

To me, Martin is one of the most important voices of F1, outside of drivers and team principals of course. His voice, his way of speaking and explaining things easy understandable is second to none. It feels like he is well respected on and off the grid. I enjoy listening to him and I appreciate is opinions. The only other person I can remember from the past was Marc Surer, who was and possibly still is very similar. Nico Rosberg, whom I didn't like very much as a driver, I respect a lot as a commentator. Jenson Button is also someone I have a lot of sympathy with. I hope these people stick around, because they make F1 a lot more approachable and enjoyable!

As a reporter, “gut feelings” are not professional. He should comment based on facts if he doesn't want to keep losing credibility.
Let me tell you some facts: Sergio “Checo” Pérez plays a critical role within the Red Bull Racing team, offering strategic insights and an in-depth understanding of the team’s future direction. During the Brazil Grand Prix, his strong start contributed to Max Verstappen gaining at least six positions. Despite challenges with his car’s performance, Pérez consistently delivers valuable points for the team, demonstrating resilience and skill in the face of technical limitations. At the end it looks like he manages the team, since he knows better and in advance, thank you what is the future of RedBull’s contracts. That value is noticed by Red Bull and obviously it makes big brands support him.

The interviewer here did okay but he doesn’t know his subject well enough.
When Brundle said he’d forgotten why he and MSC fell out after Nurburgring 2001 (when Brundle chastised Michael for hunting his brother Ralf towards the wall at the start) and the duo didn’t speak again until Brazil 2006 (MSC’s final F1 race), the interviewer should have been able to step in and remind MB of that incident because it was well documented at the time.
Also it was Spa 89 when Brundle had his first taste alongside Walker as colour commentator, but I’m highly skeptical that Murray ever held his hands up in the commentary box because he didn’t have something to say, I’d imagine it was more likely in frustration at the commercials because Walker was known to get wound-up by those, especially when major events occurred while ITV were off the air (Hungary 97 and Nurburgring 97 immediately spring to mind).
Overall though, Brundle comes across well here and I love that he picked Suzuka 99 and his favourite gridwalk when he nabbed Hakkinen, because that was brilliant! Although personally I rate the Nurburgring 1998 gridwalk ahead for those who have seen it.
Good job MB, you remain the best colour commentator and a strong pundit in the F1 series even now in 2024.

Remember folks, Liberty Media make business decisions based on F1 social network effectiveness analysis. Sky Sports have got to up their game if they want to keep the broadcast rights. Which is why we are getting content like this 👍👍

This is insightful as to where sky goes wrong... Martin thinks that their main audience is actually British but they forget their feed goes international so the majority audience is actually non British.... It's also a pity he doesn't realize their inherent biases towards British drivers. Honesylt a huge number are stuck with sky for lack of alternative broadcasters with their bias presentation

I have a lot of respect for mr Brundle, but lets ask Hill and Kravitz how balanced they are. Its the villainising of Senna(Mansel), Schumacher(dirty), Montoya, Alonso (Ham), Vettel and now Verstappen. Biased is no problem, villainising is. Imagine a World cup football were every opponent are bad guys.

19:32 I know him as the man who won Le Mans and the World Endurance Championship. 35:00 As someone who is English, Martin is wrong there. Sky are hilariously bias towards British drivers. It's so annoying and totally undermines their credibility. 39:01 Thank you Mr Interviewer for proving my point so immediately and succinctly. "How have you enjoyed ...." Not giving the option that you haven't.

Come on Martin. All non British champions in the recent past say British media are biased and were demonizing them. Fernando, Seb and now Max. You really think this is not the case? If Max sets one foot wrong you guys have complete analysis on the matter and saying he is too aggressive. When one of the British drivers does something wrong there will be excuses made for what they did or their mistakes are completely ignored and not talked about.

Having no choice but to watch Sky Sports, Martin Brundle balances the bias commentary that Croft, Kravitz and co deliver globally. A new audience, a new direction required! Bless Sky Sports for not "stopping' Damon Hill from leaving. Unfortunately Max was a trigger from his past....Schumacher!!!
