Jedi Survivor Finally FIXED + Outlaws Flops for Ubisoft | Star Wars Games Update

- Has EA finally fixed the PC version of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor? EA Respawn have recently released Update 9 for the game, bringing some much-needed changes to the game’s PC version. Since its launch, this game hasn’t run well on PC, but now, around 18 months after release, that has changed. In addition, ports to Xbox One and PS4 are slated to release this week as well. Meanwhile, Ubisoft is already hurting with news that Star Wars Outlaw is underselling, seeing their stock prices drop as a result of it.

Had Ubisoft given us what many of us have been wanting since 2019, being an open world game where we play as a Mandalorian bounty hunter that we can name, choose gender, customize face, armor, ship, etc with deeper space exploration/combat, better crafted story, with also an online multiplayer aspect, then I doubt they would be having the problems they are now with Outlaws. Oh well... 🙃
I mean you say many of us but I have not seen much evidence of playing a Mandalorian specifically, personally im enjoying a strong female lead for a change with a deep story outlaws has been fun thus far. What i would say what i have seen much evidence of and my own opinion to is a need for a star wars knights of the old republic esque game that had all the customization, in a new game they could expand the game world with what todays tech allows , and additional classes offered such as bounty hunters Mandalorian or otherwise. A great example of this is in the old star wars galaxies mmo which i still play today in the form of star wars galaxies legends, you could even play as an entertainer in that game giving your teams buffs etc via dancing or music instruments which feature in the star wars universe. Sadly developer's these days have very narrow scop and imagination, but getting back to outlaws the game isn't a flop its a good game with rave reviews for the most part.
Since Mando season 1 dropped, I've seen MANY people asking for an open world Mando game that plays similar to the show (I mean, the show itself is almost a game with how Din Djarin wonders around the galaxy accepting and doing side quests). You could still create a female Mando and do exactly the same thing, but ideally play within a stronger story (I heard many criticisms against the Outlaws story, which isn't surprising considering the same writer for Far Cry 6 wrote it and the story there wasn't strong either), but if you feel Outlaws story is good for you then that's fine too. But yeah, the lack of customization in Outlaws is a huge net negative for the game. Throw out the idea of being a Mando from the original idea, what do you get? Still enough customization to craft yourself, male or female, blonde, brunette, red head, etc. A lot more folks like the idea of running around an open world Star Wars galaxy as their own crafted character than a predetermined one. That was okay for a linear game like the Jedi series, but open world is a whole other ball game. Finally yes, I agree with you - Star Wars Galaxies was amazing back in the day and was the first true open world Star Wars experience, with plenty of customization and flexibility on how people chose to play and enjoy the game. It's awesome to hear that you still play it, but I think a lot of folks like myself wanted something similar to a Galaxies experience, at least single player wise, but in modern gaming. Outlaws with its played out Ubisoft open world formula isn't that.
I’m so glad Survivor is finally a good performing game on PC. My biggest hesitation for buying it was the performance!
For sure. The frame rate drops, stuttering/hitching and crashes ruined my enjoyment of the game at launch. If I were to wait and only start playing it now, I'd have a much more better opinion of it. I guess this is another win for patient gamers - the game has improved performance and a lot more affordable now!
@@SYLOStarWars I had initially bought it on PS5 and didn’t have any issues, but when I upgraded to pc, wanted to mod it. So yeah, definitely a plus for waiting lol 😂
Publishers should understand what players wamt is quality over innovation on my opinion, i want to play things that work, i can accept bugs on mods or indie games but not from big companies that have tons of money to invest.
Survivor is worth the playthrough it's one of my favorite stories
I intend on checking it out eventually, but once it's on sale. From what I've seen it's not a game worth $90 Canadian.
I can finally get Survivor I have tried my best to avoid spoilers(it didn't really work) and now I can finally play the game once I can afford it!

Jedi survivor is not fixed on consoles : ( its so buggy and cant load the textures on ps5 fallen order looks better : ( i hope its gonna get an optimaziton😢
Oh, seriously? I always heard the PS5 version had way less issues than PC, and usually took priority by them to get issues fixed than PC. The PC version was always neglected, so I'm very surprised to hear that Jedi Survivor still has problems on PS5 (where most of its copies were sold for). That's so weird to hear about but also unfortunate. Hopefully the PS5 crowd get as vocal about this stuff as the PC players did so Respawn finally do something about it and fix the problems on PS5.
