The eco system drives me crazy. I wanted to go from my iPhone 13 to a Samsung or Pixle however I already own an iPad & AirPods. The way you can switch between audio on the iPad and iPhone without going into settings is just magic. So I "upgraded" to another boring rectangle iPhone 15 and with how easy phone switches are it's hardly a difference
Yep this - Samsung has similar features - but of course that doesn't help with you already owning the iPad & Airpods. Although you could always sell them & buy the Tab & Galaxy Buds - but of course that depends if you even like those products - alas, ecosystem problems! hah
I switched from an iPhone 12 to a Samsung Galaxy S24 and I ended up returning it the first week for the same reason also another reason I have is the emojis they look better on iPhone and the front facing camera is better on iPhone and so is the biometrics so I returned my S24 and got an iPhone 15 Pro instead and so far I love this phone would highly recommend
I use 3rd party ear buds (Jabra), which easily pair from my Samsung phone to my iPad to my Mac - I just put them in my ears and they start playing no matter what device I have open. No fluffing about with settings involved. I just think either a lack of knowledge, or a lack of will, is what keeps users in their “lane” of what they’re used to. I left iPhone in 2020 and haven’t gone back, even though I still have other Apple devices.
The thing is when people talk about ecosystems like these they don't care about their dryer, washing machines or fridges being smart. It's a cool feature IF you want to use it, but I don't know a single person who went out to buy any of these with the requirement that they fit well into their preferred ecosystem at home. From what I see people mostly want their PC, phone, laptop and maybe their TV to work well with each other.
you're right, because those are all what matter. Dryers and washing machines are so simple to use, plus you can still download the respective apps then use them on both platforms, no need to integrate them into the system.
As much as I want to switch from Apple to Samsung, I just can’t stand the design of the Android OS. It feels choppy and bulky, and its appearance seems like it’s meant for children. Plus, it varies depending on the device you use. I love Android devices but cannot get past the OS. Apple devices are repetitive, and their ecosystem could be much better. However, the OS is clean, and regardless of the device, there is no lag.
I tried Android (Galaxy S23 Ultra) for 10 months. I enjoyed it for the first 7 months. The 3 months, I hated it. It started to lag, freeze and it had a few bugs here and there that made my experience a bad one. I was anxious to come back to Apple and I’m glad I did. Give Android a try just to get rid of the itch but you’ll probably end up coming back to Apple lol.
I personally disagree, i switched from apple to s24 ultra after being on apple for my whole life and im not going back. Its true that some apps may not be as optomised for android but the customization and the features on android are definatly worth it to me
@@Kokomatics I love the customization abilities from Samsung. You can change almost everything. For me though, customizing seemed more like a chore and it would take me 30 to 45 minutes to get the phone tailored until my heart was content. I prefer apple’s simplicity. Everyone’s experience varies and Android wasn’t for me. I’m glad I decided to give it a shot.
I've been lucky enough through my jobs to try loads of different phones over the years, and I can confidently say that Samsung's ecosystem is my absolute favorite. Between my Fold 5, Buds2 Pro, and Watch 4, it's such a fluid and open ecosystem that pairs way better with others, such as my Govee lights, Tile, and Chromebook (Lenovo Duet 5). While I have a great appreciation for what Apple has built, there's no comparison in my opinion. P.s. - if you're considering something new like a foldable, it is a GAME CHANGER. I could never go back to a boring old slab phone, even though they have marginally better cameras.
Great video. The shrinking of software ecosystems to specifically fit the Apple product line has been a trend for a while. Home products have never been a part of the ecosystem because it wasn't a large part of Apple's ecosystem. The experience of connected devices has been a sticking point for Android recently, combined with the user experiences frequently ignored by Apple users I'd imagine the ecosystem case for Apple won't be as strong in the coming years.
I feel like it has to give at some point, Apple can't just refuse to integrate products until they create their version. Apple Fridge, Apple Oven. Apple Solar Panels? lol
I know you are not going to agree with me. But I like having a non smart home even though I am a tech enthousiast. I like having home things not being smart. it's easy and keeps it simple
Privacy? Lol you do realize that Google, Meta and the CCP still have all your data anyways right? All this privacy centric stuff from Apple is just a marketing gimmick.
@@markehijele Of all the ecosystems, Apple is probably the one company I’d trust the most (not blindly) with my data over Samsung, and definitely Google.
i love this video . its very informative and descriptive. So much that my 60 yr old mom saw it and now fully understands her phone watch and macbook air. now she is expanding her tech. knowledge. thank you 🙏🏼
While collaboration is great, sometimes it's also the reason why some stuff come out really late or half baked like Windows on ARM taking 12 years to finally have a true competitor to x86 (from the very first Microsoft Surface) or the Android competitor to the Vision Pro still being MIA. One company dictating and making all the decisions can sometimes be more efficient than several figureheads deciding and arguing what to do next.
If you stick with Samsung for a while you will quickly realize their support for products is patchy. The lack of support for items that are only a few years old is terrible. This is the overall experience apple managed much better.
Samsung is pretty consistent with updates, atleast for smartphones, tablets, watch, buds . And they have improved animations and smoothness of one ui greatly in one ui 6.1.
I mean the potential definitely is there, but after watching your video on the apple system I'm not convinced any other party offers the extreme elegance and convenience
I switched to the galaxy fold 6 from years of being on an iPhone.... and I gotta say, it's been such a great decision. I love the fold even more than I thought I would. I'm excited to see where this technically goes
My entire family and most friends are in Apple ecosystem. But I have been user of Iphone pro max as well as Samsung ultra phones for many years. Use Macbook pro for over 15 years. Now upgraded to S24ultra from S23ultra. Got Galaxy buds 3 pro. May buy Samsung watch this holiday season.
I dont have any brand loyalty and use devices i like and has the features I need. And single brand ecosystems are overrated Apps I use are always cross platform so everything is available everywhere all the time so ive never seen the need Working on a desktop/laptop is completely separate from phone use I don't know if I'm missing anything
I’ve tried various Android phones but keep coming back to the iPhone & the Apple ecosystem. There is nothing better. Also now that they’ve launched Apple Intelligence I doubt I will switch anytime soon.
Pretty sure this comment won’t trigger people who make OS choice their sole personality determinant. How dare you prefer one thing over another, right?
The smart devices point im not sure what you mean. Matter, the standard apple is compatible with, is not exclusive to them. Its created by Apple, Amazon, Google, and a few other companies participate in it as well.
Yeah matter is definitely fixing a lot of these problems. It's the other integrations really which are less device support. Services / integrations etc that I meant here! Slowly converting everything in the house to matter. 😬
I was an Android user since the beginning and I HATED Apple. I hated Apple simply because it was shiny and Apple. I had no other real reason to hate Apple or iPhones in general. When the iPhone 12 came out I reluctantly switched from Android to iOS. I have not went back to Android and I wont go back to Android.
I switched from apple to Samsung (specifically iphone 12 pro to zfold 4) there are definitely some things I miss on apple but I'll be venturing out into the ecosystem of android a bit.
look i use the samsung ecosysyem and its just not as tight nit as apple's and there are at least twice as many times as things just dont work (which happens on both) but in terms of the smarthome i use home assistant to get every device working with homekit, cause im after the ultimate experience even if it requires setup, and in samsung's whole ecosystem they have more customisation in exchange for optimisation, so sure it can be more of your personality, but you lose something for that.
The best ecosystem is open. That's why there is an open protocol called Matter. Both Apple and Google support it. It is supported by almost every device manufacturers these days. Therefore, regardless of Apple or Samsung, you will be able to control the smart device in your home.
Tbh that AI fridge that knows when my food expires caught my attention, but besides that, none of them actually make your life easier. Our life is too complicated these days and we are at fault.
It's not about needing it, it's about having a convenience or feeling of easement by being helped by those devices, so you can put your attention elsewhere.
Imagine not knowing how to process context of video. That I hope you actually watched. This video showed a broad scope of what the ecosystems are capable of. That's on you if you see something and think you either, need it or don't need it.
So if Apple is better but doesn’t have it all, the perfect solution is to use what you can in Apple ecosystem and extend it with Samsung home appliances ecosystem 😂
Samsung wins all eco system battles, the phone, tablet, buds, watch, fridge, robot vacuum all sync together, and that's the tip of the iceburg on what you can link
I have s23 and iphone 15 pro. Honestly the iphone have been the better choice. I love samsung. But for some reason my s20, s21 and s23 hate youtube and other apps and keep shutting them down...... tried to fix the issue multiple times but it kept coming back. I have before made a long list of things that works better on apple. Like nfc is not open like on android and need to constantly turn it on and off. On iphoneits 2 clicks on the powerbutton and its ready for 1 time use. My apple watch ultra can do a lot more then my samsung 6 classic watch, and have made me leave my iphone at home. I love how apple works. But still use my s23 with keyboard and mouse along with dex on tv. Great feature but not enough to make me switch back.
As someone who does not use a smart home. My core echosystem remains Apple. However, I do like the google suit. I am wanting to dwelve into smarthome lights, but doubt I will ever care about a remote control for a washing machine... when you still have to be there to put the cloths in.
To end the debate between iOS or android, i'd say buy the one that you feel most comfortable with. Tbh im a fan of both brands, samsung provides immense customisability and iphone has that sleek ui with integration (though it comes with a hefty price). I'd personally settle down with iOS after being fortunate enough to experience both devices, but just get whichever you're most comfy and be sure you wont regret your choice.
This is why I love Samsung and it's hard to get away from the brand, not that I mind. I think Samsung phones offer a lot more for the money over apple.
I get the message and i totally agree that Samsung's SmartThings rocks (i also use it on a daily basis), but I see it as a great secondary ecosystem that doesn't have to influence your main one. The main ecosystem is to my way of thinking compounded by your daily gadgets: phone, laptop, pc, tv, etc. and here Apple is probably the best. But the cool thing is that you can combine them, SmartThings works as well with Apple devices as with Samsung's ones... so I don't see any problem to have a main Apple ecosystem surrounded by a Samsung SmartThings one.
Guys let me know what your device ecosystem🤣 heres my “ecosystem” 😂 - Phone: Iphone 13 Pro for work and Zflip 5 for Personal use - Earbuds: Huawei Freebuds pro 3 (just bought it cause it has better mic quality than airpod pro) - Laptop: Dell Latitude 7430 i7 - Tablet: Ipad Pro M2 - Watch: Galaxy Watch 6 I'm loyal to no brand, use products what benefits to you
Everyone's definition of "better" isn't the same. It depends on how you use it. Also, Apple covers all the basics exceedingly well. If you ask a random person what are the top features they look for in a phone, it will probably be a combination of camera, security, battery life, display, accessories, speed, stability, etc. Iphones do all those very well. Maybe not the absolute best in any single thing, but scores high in nearly everything. Kind of the sum is greater than the parts. Last is simplicity. Iphones are easy to learn and easy to use. Yeah, they added alot of features, but you don't 'have' to use the advanced stuff if you don't want to. If you used an iphone 3, you can pretty much jump right to an iphone 15 without breaking stride. People like familiarity, ya know? They figure this is what I'm used to, and it works... why would I bother switching? Anyway, just my $0.02. Everyone is different though.
Cuz majority of people don't really care what type of phone they have, as long as you don't stick out like a sore thumb like "oh you don't have an iPhone?" You'll be fine with that and the moment you get stuck at Apple's eco system, you might as well be hooked on for life cuz they make it so difficult for you to switch. I mean look at the messaging system, apple could have easily fixed android to apple msgs but make it so in a way that when receiving a text from android looks bad. Lol talk about petty.
Hey buddy, so your saying you can get different brands to work together unlike with apple. Like I could have pixel phone, a Samsung laptop, even use my Bowers & Wilkins headphone with either of them seamlessly?
These extra devices you talk about have a smart things app, which I have on my iPhone. I get notifications from all my Samsung devices on my iPhone. So not sure what I’m missing?
As someone who used both Samsung and Apple, I would never go back to Android or Samsung unless they already have the same level of security and privacy as Apple, and the same level of consistency specially on software updates as Apple. Also while Samsung has the ecosystem most of the time it’s unreliable or not easy to setup. I do think that in terms of hardware and specs most of the time Samsung have the advantage given that they have a lot of focus on research and development for it. But it all boils down to what you prefer and if you have the budget to buy it…lol
Great video. I'm trying to switch from Apple to Samsung. I bought the S24. Do you know how to get my voice recordings app to sync with the Samsung tablet? I've tried all the auto syncing and Samsung account and my voice recordings will not populate on my tablet. Thanks if you have time. Also, is there a way to make these recordings populate on a tablet seamlessly, like they do on Apple?
Who wants to be tied to an individual brand. Consider the device that offers the most, perhaps allowing for less devices too. How that device interacts across devices and brands, is another consideration. Outside of Apple this is generally possible and doesn't need to be a single brand to do the same and more.
@@VariantAEC that is a lost point on many or in reviews also. Anything that's completely tied to a single brand and company when there are alternatives with broader features, abilities, options etc is just a loose loose in any objective reality.
Ok so samsung follows the same approach they used to follow. Fantastic features that attract everyone but are not something you would do everyday. The S pen summaries Samsung for me it’s awesome but you rarely remember you have it. And to be honest they still have a huge problem with the basics I can’t stand the noise s24 ultra make in night photos, and many of the features do not actually work as you would have hoped. I want to copy something on my iPhone and be able to paste it on my ipad or MacBook, I want to continue an interesting topic I stumbled on while using my iPhone on any other apple device I have at any given time. You actually can feel that your apple devices understand each other very well they act like if they were a real family.
The consumer chooses whether it comes down to iOS/Mac OS/Vision OS... vs Android. I've used both... one just works without even trying. Why complicate life... life isn't easy!
I live in Bosnia, and we have more choices related to android echo systems and Samsung brings the best in that category. I have almost everything Samsung from phone to washer and everything between. Does it make my life easier? I would not say but I like it.
Well, I don't exactly have an ecosystem as I don't own much tech due to my current financial situation, but if I do this is how it is going to be, Phone - Samsung S23 plus or S24 plus Watch - I don't like wearing a smartwatch instead I would go with a Samsung ring that will be available soon. Headphones - Bose QuietComfort or QC 45 TWS - Apple Airpods Pro 2 )type c version) Tablet - Apple iPad Air 13-inch Laptop - Apple Macbook Pro 16-inch (M3 Pro)
If apple ever decides to be really innovative (by that I mean something new, not copy paste something old and sell it as "new"), I may consider buying an iPhone
i'm all for competition - but some flawed assumptions are being made here. similar things were said of apple and A.i. their approach is a partitioned one, what they did with the matter standard, they are doing similar with app intents. which means diversity of hardware (for home automation etc) and software (for augmented intelligence) without sacrificing ease of use and qualitative outcomes.
Definitely jealous of the Dex feature, but that other stuff seems like unnecessary tech junk. Who needs a washer that can be controlled with your phone, unless it can also put the clothes and soap in for you? I’ve never understood the logic with that one lol
I get the argument but I have Samsung appliances and use the smart things app on my iPhone to get notifications and stuff while still using apples ecosystem.
I've tried for about 3, 4 years now to embrace the apple eco system... The Mx processors, plus the watch ultra were the game changers. Unless this AI stuff (apple ignorance on display is what I think that stands for, especially with silly siri)... unless that changes something HUGE in the next 12 months - I'm pretty sure I'm bailing on Apple... again...
Honestly I would switch back to Samsung but I feel safer with Apple because of the simple reason that it is a closed system. Also I ditched Samsung to escape Google Products and Apps because of multiple wide-range data breaches or Google themselves selling data to third parties because that is still a huge part of their business and esentially make them money. Now if Samsung ditched Google and Android entirely, I would test it out but not as long as Samsung is deeply tied with Android.
Samsung is the closest compared to Apple in terms of ecosystem. Yet the only thing that Samsung has it beat is with their galaxy line of phones. Samsung has a bigger range of products from Office Tech to appliances, but that is because Apple has not found a reason to get into that Market. Apple’s product has gone away from iPhone and has become the Ecosystem. Samsung has Apple beat in Quantity, and Apple has Samsung beat in quality.
I am enjoying the switch from Android to Apple. I have the 2018 Apple IPad Pro 11 inch tablet, the Ultra 2 Apple Watch and the IPhone 15 Pro. It’s consistent and it works for me.
From my Android and apple eco system experience the biggest difference always comes down to battery life. Samsung will be great until you start installing apps. Apple has better battery life across the board in my opinion. I've had SmartThings for years now and it runs close to the same on the iPhone.
There are just too many elegant and intelligent features in iOS and iPadOS for me to ever consider going back to Android. Not to mention the general superiority of the third-party apps. Then there's the privacy and security aspect. The fact that you can get replacement parts from Apple itself. Who do you go to with a defective Android phone? The 40-year legacy of software engineering behind Apple. What do you get with Android ? An advertising business that hoovers up all your data. Yes, there is a premium to pay for an Apple device, but you really do get what you pay for. I had four mid- to high-end Android phones, from ASUS, Sony, Motorola and Oppo, and I would never go back.
Agree, I appreciate Samsung ecosystem more than Apple, much wider also due to an open system like Android which allows this. I agree, also iOS system is ok but too much restricted and the UI is not so easy to customize like Android.
Blackberry to Apple 4s to Android Note5 to Apple 12 Pro Max - I’ll likely never go to anything else as I upgraded to the 15 Pro Max. iPad 2018 Pro 12” replaced android tablet. But I’m not an idiot, I’ll never try going to Apple computers.
I use samsung, i have the s23 and earbuds 2 pro. I wanted to also buy a galaxy watch 6 classic and a tab s9, but I've come to realize that android's interface, after my 20 years of life still looks very very bad, barely changed, just rounded off the corners. And the galaxy watch 6 sometimes lags when you scroll, which is insane for their latest, best watch, and their heart rate sensors are not that accurate either. My s23 is kinda laggy too, but it has the snapdragon 8 gen 2, which is also insane. Now i cant decide to buy more deeply into samsung or switch to apple
I kinda hate Apple for being so „closed minded” but actually with home tech I’d rather trust them than Samsung ,who knows if they won’t drop support all of the sudden and privacy ,apple seems to be better but who actually knows…
Samsung is better on privacy even if through the roundabout way of being able to opt out of collection on all levels and preventing sharing data with mother Samsung. You can't block Apple from collecting data from your iPhone without doing things to it that TH-cam will not allow me to discuss.
I guess privacy is the key here … all connected eco system devices and utensils are fed by users making it smart and easy. Google is the better option, but is it really?
Yea. I’ll stick with Apple thanks. Planned obsolescence isn’t a myth when your android phone and tablets bog down to the point of being unusable 6-8 months later. I use my old iPhone 12 Pro Max as a mobile gaming device for idle games like CoC and things to do when I have nothing better to do and with the exception of battery health not being what it was 4years ago, the phone operates flawlessly with no lag to speak of.
what you said about Apple is not incorrect. The issue comes on why should I lock myself in another brand eg. Samsung. But you failed to mention a very important part in all of this. CHeck the privacy and your data on a Samsung device. Their TVs send an abnormal amount of data back, even screenshot of those models that have cameras. Fridges do the same, and I don't mean only about the simple things that is programmed to do eg. you need to buy apples. The collection of data is insane and nobody talks about it.
@@VariantAEC if you have the knowledge you can see how much data are being transmitted . When apple makes a fridge or TV we can judge then. Till that point you have nothing tangible to do so. IF we compare eg. Phones then from that only we can see that Apple is transimmiting far fewer data, how those are used and by who. It is all in the TOS . You can read it

WiFi sharing .
Connecting Apple TV to hotel WiFi with iPhone .
Remember if you have the entire Samsung ecosystem
Samsung is not in your house, Samsung is your house
and even the washing machines are fukin lovely
The eco system drives me crazy. I wanted to go from my iPhone 13 to a Samsung or Pixle however I already own an iPad & AirPods. The way you can switch between audio on the iPad and iPhone without going into settings is just magic. So I "upgraded" to another boring rectangle iPhone 15 and with how easy phone switches are it's hardly a difference
Samsung has a similar seamless audio switching feature with their Galaxy Buds.
@PeteMatheson I think it's more like Apples problem. My Sony Headphones works well when I play music in my Dell Laptop and switch to phone.
I love the Samsung ecosystem for this very reason. It allows for an open ecosystem and plays nicely with other apps.
Try different launcher? There are iOS launchers as well and minimalistic too
I personally disagree, i switched from apple to s24 ultra after being on apple for my whole life and im not going back.
@@Kokomatics pretty sure that is the problem with app developers there is probably a way to android app look and feel like iPhone apps
@@andrewc31394 why is a foldable a game changer?
S24 Ultra clearly a game changer. I'm switching gradually to Samsung. It's great.
And objectively safer

The reasons why I’m sticking with Apple is: 1. Privacy, 2. Better App Compatibility.
Privacy? Lol you do realize that Google, Meta and the CCP still have all your data anyways right? All this privacy centric stuff from Apple is just a marketing gimmick.
Which privacy? You’ve been marketed to
@@markehijele Of all the ecosystems, Apple is probably the one company I’d trust the most (not blindly) with my data over Samsung, and definitely Google.

i love this video . its very informative and descriptive.
Lately the support has improved considerably
Maybe 6 years ago, that's not the case anymore.
They're very consistent and have monthly updates.
Imagine if they even gave AI abilities to old devices too. And didn't keep you pegged to a assistant from 10 years ago 🤔

And single brand ecosystems are overrated
Apps I use are always cross platform so everything is available everywhere all the time so ive never seen the need
Working on a desktop/laptop is completely separate from phone use
I don't know if I'm missing anything
I’ve been going back and forth between Apple and Android but the s24 ultra is the first one I utilize as my primary device.
I’ve tried various Android phones but keep coming back to the iPhone & the Apple ecosystem. There is nothing better. Also now that they’ve launched Apple Intelligence I doubt I will switch anytime soon.
"There is nothing better" is such a delusional statement

Samsung refrigerators can do a multitude of things except, apparently, keeping food cold
Samsung legit has more products in ecosystem
Same here, used it for 11 years after I sold my blackberry I’m now using my first iPhone 12 and I don’t see myself ever returning to android.
Android was released in 2008, iphone 12 in 2020. Seems legit.

I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max, a Galaxy Tab S9 and a Lenovo Thinkpad with linux. I think it's wonderful, f**k ecology!
The best ecosystem is open. That's why there is an open protocol called Matter. Both Apple and Google support it. It is supported by almost every device manufacturers these days. Therefore, regardless of Apple or Samsung, you will be able to control the smart device in your home.
Imagine thinking you need all these "smart" devices in your life...
I have used everything from Motorola, Samsung, Google, Nexus, HTC, Sony and iPhone. Whichever one has the best deal at the time for the best phone.

Nothing beats Huawei ecosystem
Top Tier video. Watched it to the very end nice!
Ah thanks so much man! Appreciated 👏🏼
Sounds like Samsung's ecosystem is the best since it works with the subpar system that doesn't play nicely with 3rd parties.
I prefer Samsung products. Everything just works unlike the apple products I've tried
Guys let me know what your device ecosystem🤣 heres my “ecosystem” 😂
- Phone: Iphone 13 Pro for work and Zflip 5 for Personal use
- Earbuds: Huawei Freebuds pro 3 (just bought it cause it has better mic quality than airpod pro)
- Laptop: Dell Latitude 7430 i7
- Tablet: Ipad Pro M2
- Watch: Galaxy Watch 6
I'm loyal to no brand, use products what benefits to you
My question is
There are a lot of things that are better than Apple , yet non techies still choose Apple
Why is that ?
because not a lot of people feel the need to have a smart dryer, oven, or fridge in their ecosystem
@@stephencooper3583 spot on 👌🏾
Cuz majority of people don't really care what type of phone they have, as long as you don't stick out like a sore thumb like "oh you don't have an iPhone?" You'll be fine with that and the moment you get stuck at Apple's eco system, you might as well be hooked on for life cuz they make it so difficult for you to switch. I mean look at the messaging system, apple could have easily fixed android to apple msgs but make it so in a way that when receiving a text from android looks bad. Lol talk about petty.
performance, reliability and ease of use
I prefer Google Android open Ecosystem ⌚️💻📱📺💯
Hey buddy, so your saying you can get different brands to work together unlike with apple. Like I could have pixel phone, a Samsung laptop, even use my Bowers & Wilkins headphone with either of them seamlessly?
The best Ecosystem you should use is the one Mother Nature provided us with. and it starts with trees, grass and soil.
What security system are you using where motion detection automatically overrides what's on your TV?
Great video! For me Apple is the way to go just because of the design and obviously the connectivity between devices.

Right, and to that point, Android is actually better for offering support across the divide Apple places on its customers.
@@VariantAEC that is a lost point on many or in reviews also. Anything that's completely tied to a single brand and company when there are alternatives with broader features, abilities, options etc is just a loose loose in any objective reality.
Ok so samsung follows the same approach they used to follow.

You could be right!
I don't know why, but Apple devices lag more for me than Android nowadays.
I live in Bosnia, and we have more choices related to android echo systems and Samsung brings the best in that category. I have almost everything Samsung from phone to washer and everything between. Does it make my life easier? I would not say but I like it.
Also can't for the life of me understand samsungs prohibiting the use of their notes app on your desktop. That's so dumb.
Well, I don't exactly have an ecosystem as I don't own much tech due to my current financial situation, but if I do this is how it is going to be,
Phone - Samsung S23 plus or S24 plus
Watch - I don't like wearing a smartwatch instead I would go with a Samsung ring that will be available soon.
Headphones - Bose QuietComfort or QC 45
TWS - Apple Airpods Pro 2 )type c version)
Tablet - Apple iPad Air 13-inch
Laptop - Apple Macbook Pro 16-inch (M3 Pro)
Apple is the Gold Standard, according to Apple. Not everyone worships the Lords of Cupertino.
'Which walled-garden would you like confine yourself to?"
- There. Fixed the title
Samsung and Android as a whole have much less in the way of walled-gardens. Apple on the other hand...

My broke a** who uses their washing machine, kitchen, heater and everything else on manual:
Apple ecosystem is the only that actually a real functional cohesive ecosystem
Just run home assistant on a raspberry pi with home bridge. All of my smart home needs to be platform agnostic
Samsung is the closest compared to Apple in terms of ecosystem. Yet the only thing that Samsung has it beat is with their galaxy line of phones. Samsung has a bigger range of products from Office Tech to appliances, but that is because Apple has not found a reason to get into that Market.
No power on earth can make me switch to android. Nothing wrong with Samsung but the os is the problem here.
It's the politics. WE WANT CHOICE. Apple must not be supported.
Apple is no different in that regard. The only exception is that Apple doesn't make a fridge or TV with cameras in them, yet.
