I don’t have a dream job anymore. I just want to have a soft life, be beautiful, have fun, and be able to have decent income. That’s why I’m deciding to go to school for dental hygienist or dental assistant for a good work life balance. Love the video 💗💞🎀
I also don't have a dream career, in fact I don't want to work that much, just interstate in beauty and makeup bit wanna live a soft decent and a full of love famine life❤❤❤

As a prior go-getting, highly ambitious woman, boss minded woman (Scorpio), I never want to manage, supervise, oversee anyone ever again! My spirit is too soft and stress is too hormone imbalancing. I’m currently an intermediate (right in the middle) data analyst for a NON TECH company (big key) making 88K a year (96 with bonus) with 2 work from home days, flexible hours for being a mom, and a kind MALE manager where I’m able to wear lovely dresses, nice nails and cute makeup. God has blessed me immensely. I love the opportunity to turn my brain and laptop off and walk away. ❤ Hope this helps someone.
My career may not be “feminine” but i work as a consultant at a financial firm. I work maybe 30 hours a week making over 100k+ a year. I have the flexibility to do whatever I want as long as my works done.
@@christnaletangHi Christine, I would recommend applying to an investment company that will sponsor your series 7 and 66 if you’re in the US. A lot offer remote work and will pay for your licenses. The exams aren’t easy but worth it long term.
@@feac.1466I would recommended seeking an entry level position at a financial firm. Like I said get your licenses then eventually you’ll be in a comfortable position. Hi freelance interior designer here and although I love my job it is very stressful, sure it is a lovely career but please be mentally prepared especially if you are on your own and not working for a company. It's glamorous on camera but the stress, the burnout and the days where you're not feeling creative are something else so be prepared and be passionate ❤you will love it
Took the words right out of my mouth. My sister is an interior designer and I can assure you it is quite a stressful career that requires a lot of work to be put in, sometimes unforeseen circumstances and overtime happens in projects. The hours are long and stressful. The client's can be very frustrating as well. t's a beautiful career but to say it is low-effort is misleading. It's a lot of hard work and time.
@@missbunny97 Same thing with architecture. Expected to pull ideas out of my ass even if I have no more to give (physically and mentally). And they ask you to be creative and then they don’t like it.
Public Librarian here - it’s a stressful job that doesn’t pay well & is becoming more social work/education focused. Public libraries are no longer the quiet places they used to be. Most of my colleagues are very unhappy as the culture is overwhelmingly white, female, and bullying. 🤷♀️
As somone who is a trained architect who worked on a lot of interior designs...being an interior designer is NOT, i repeat, NOT stress-free! After being in the field for 7 years, I decided to leave because it was the epitome of stress, long hours, and very little pay. Being an interior designer/ architect is a career you need to really be passionate about regardless of how much money you could make because it can take 10 years or longer before you hit 6 figures. Kisses and hugs.
That too on being the first one 😂 I actually chose this career because of how aesthetic and feminine this career is going to be. But my god, so much stress and clients not respecting your time. Residential projects are the worst because it’s all focused on the functional aspect and then the last would be art.
I laughed because I was an apparel designer and that was the most stressful job of my life (being a material developer also highly stressful), so when I saw interior designer I figured it would be a similar story.
THIS!!! I'm currently an Interior Deisgn student, and every project begins at a 6 on the Stress meter but it's something that I'm passionate about, so I'm okay with that. It's definitely one of those careers that you have to decide if it's worth it or not.
I dont believe there is a single job out here that is not stressful it's how you control the stress 👌 my colleagues and manager always applaud me for looking calm when handling pressure at work although im internally screaming 😅 (i work in HR btw)
@@UMMH2000 hence why they are so much harder to find and why they’ll pay you less if you’re in low cost of area even if the company is based in a higher cost area.
My Dream feminine job for me that I currently do: is being a stay at home mom/ homemaker and open a at home bakery 😊 also help my husband with his businesses by doing secretary/administrative work for him .
@@Heyu7her3as a wife we benefit from helping our husbands make more money. I wouldn’t want to hope he earned less 😑😑 so even if we “working for free” we are benefiting. More than I would working for a CEO that cares nothing about me or my family.
I’m 33 and my favorite job where my femininity flourished was being a Receptionist back in 2010-2015 at a top corporate trust company in my country. My entry salary was $19,600 and by 2014 I was making $42,000. I was so good at my job they rewarded me with salary increases every year and very generous bonuses. Because I didn’t have corporate responsibility and just simple administrative duties I was capable of really pouring into myself. By time I resigned I had multiple certificates in customer service and reception work as well as a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources with no student loan as I used a lot of my free time to apply for scholarships and do my course online. Since working as an HRM I must say I have many days when I miss just simply being a receptionist.
I was a receptionist right after university. It was so nice and fun at the time I really wanted to be one of the ppl in corporate when I saw them walking by now I miss the simplicity. I guess it’s a sign to just enjoy every stage of life
As an interior designer, yes, this job is high paying and feminine, but its not low to moderate stress its high stress. Especially as a senior designer. between working with contractors, clients, to the trade furniture stores and juggling timelime lines, youre always on call because every body has your number for a project. You may work 9-5 but most contractors are up at 5 and if they have questions they will call you. Its a fulfilling job but high stress. You may have meant to reference an interior decorator and not and interior designer? Designers are more architectural and decorators just decorate. Great video though, thanks for compiling these it was interesting to watch.
100% agree! I’ve been an ID for 8 years and I’m trying to get out of the industry entirely. Any passion I did have for interior design when I graduated college has slowly been killed by the stress of this job.
Executive Assistants! I don’t hear a lot of people talk about this career myself included. I basically worked as a receptionist at a law firm worked my way up to pretty much a legal assistant/paralegal, but then got referred by a friend to a big PEO company. I now just support higher up executives in the company and my start was 69,000 a year I have no degree just my high school diploma and know there are other assistants here making upwards of 90k. I am totally remote with the option of traveling to a few of our offices if I want to support the team in person, but it’s not required so plenty of opportunity for overtime.
I was waiting to hear this career too. I work in hr currently and I’m trying to move into EA. Any tips you care to share to get in? I’ve tried altering my resume with related EA experience and I attend networking events but no luck yet. I just have my HS diploma and a little bit of college.
I get very difficult bosses , mostly CEOs. Though I love the job the constant having to manage relationship with these rich difficult men is just too much. Am not succeeding
Yes I was looking for this. I’m an EA/Office Manager in the federal government DOD sector, I work directly for a Navy CAPT and I love it here. My boss is amazing, (I probably got lucky) and I get to wear beautiful dresses and outfits and decorate the office and handle the administrative work. I’ve learned to manage the few times it does become stressful but I think it’s definitely a feminine job.
I am an architect and after doing it for over 5 years... I am so ready for soft life kind of job. My career has messed with my hormones, stress, and weight. I really don't need to prove anything to anyone any more. I am at a point where I'm fine with lower pay if that means I can have a life where I have hobbies, time for friends and family, and most importantly me time! So this information was very helpful!
From an sis in her late 30´s: You forget a few medical focus that make a lot of money, are feminine, maybe need I little more work and time, but def make good money: - Dermatologist/Hair specialist - Spa bussiness - Ophthalmologist - Plastic surgeon (I have seen everyone become millionaires over time) - Otorhinolaryngologist (kids and adults all have allergies and respiratory issues so its a HUGE industry that make money) - Luxury Real State - Luxury PR

UX Designer here with 4 years of professional experience. It is a very stressful job for many reasons. The pay is great though and I really do love design! My advice, have tough skin!
I was a yoga teacher for years. It was my full time job, and I also owned a studio. It is NOT low stress. The only way it can be is if you have very deep pockets and you’re just doing it for fun. It can be amazing, but my burnout was real and total. I’m currently doing production planning and starting studies for project management.
I would add plastic surgeon/dermatologist anything in the medspa area. I have shadowed in those environments, and its a really uplifting place for women to feel beautiful and seen, especially in the aesthetic/cosmetic arena.
You forgot dental hygiene! I just graduated and landed my first job. It is incredibly rewarding and in HIGH demand! The pay is competitive, and hours/schedules are very flexible. The schooling is very fast paced and stressful but working in the field is very different. There is a level of responsibility that comes with being a health care professional and having others health in your hands, but if you have a passion for helping others and good work ethic you will feel fulfilled in this career. If you are a friendly, kind, and caring person that also values work/life balance consider dental hygiene! (Beware of wrist and neck/back pain though :/)
I never dreamed of having a career, I love being a wife & mother. But if I had to work outside the home, I'd do something like event/party/wedding planning, or interior decorating. I also have a certification as an etiquette teacher I would love to utilize as my daughter gets a little older and I can think more about my own ambitions.
How about starting an etiquette TH-cam channel...that could eventually pay well and still allow you to express your creativity and maintain flexibility with your primary role as a SAHM. You could venture into coaching or private lessons once you gain a following, and maybe I am wrong, but Im assuming you can do that online as well using video chats ....
@@ri3845 I've thought about that before! Etiquette seems to have grown a lot in popularity on social media recently. Back in 2020 I was doing zoom sessions with women teaching them etiquette but I haven't since then. I'd like to pick everything back up at some point.
UX design can be stressful - just want to put that out there. You’re making a lot of decisions, presenting and advocating your work to stakeholders and trying to validate your work through user research that betters user experiences and business goals. It’s a tech job and tech can be demanding and it requires a lot of critical thinking, self initiative, and a growth mindset. People in this field are very serious about it. While at some companies sure it can be less stressful which could be great. It’s not a guarantee and given the unreliable job market these days you don’t know what you can get. It sometimes depends on your team too. Different teams in the same company can have different expectations. I would advocate for those interested to go to UX design conferences and ask questions if someone is really interested in this career vs the social media day in the life videos. You have to really love it if you want to grow and do this long term.
I’m happy to see that Human Resources is included. I currently work in the Employee Benefits industry at an insurance and risk brokerage firm and I think it is a really great career field that you can get into and grow. The more experience you have, the better!

Public librarian in the DC metro region here - average pay starts below $50k, high stress as the job is now focused on social work, mostly homogenous workforce of white females, and the libraries are no longer quiet as we move more toward becoming community centers. A majority of my colleagues are miserable and are always looking for a new job.
I've noticed libraries are definitely loud now with kids screaming and hollering. They were loudly playing a Pokémon game in one of the rooms there. I had to leave. Libraries are like clubhouse now.
Yep working in a public library will put you in a front facing customer role which is stressful as you get all kinds of situations dealing with the public daily. I'd suggest going into a research library role or academic though those really hard to get into as staff tend to stay till they retire.

My mom is a prosecutor (Not in the US), she is about to retire and I would say she loved her job 50/50. On one hand you are an authority and people have to respect you, you get immunities, a high paying salary and your own “staff”. The downside is the stress, my mom is a criminal prosecutor and had to deal with the press and of course criminals. Plus every single detail of her investigation had to be perfect and trails can be VERY demanding. AND EVERYONE is looking for you to make a mistake so they can get rid of you and take your position. It’s a chess game. I wouldn’t recommend being a prosecutor to ladies who don’t like the spotlight and being a leader. In my country most women are prosecutor which is interesting , and they are incredibly feminine and strong. But you need to decide for yourself. I think when you are a judge or a prosecutor you love the respect you get and your unique access to the legal system, but aside from that, it can be very draining. So it depends on you

Im a second year as an interior design technologist, so my program is more technology centred and technical focused. Just know ladies if you want to do interior design, don’t confuse it with interior decorating! Most programs focus on the creative side of it, but so many people go in thinking it’s gonna be just pillows and curtains.
I am an Astrologer and an Artist, building both businesses currently! It was a rough start at first like any other business, but give it a little time, it'll be okay as long as you are willing to stay consistent with your efforts. And yes, always coming up with new ideas, designs and inspiration is a bit tough, especially when you don't feel your best.. but try to let your imagination run wild & start creating on that first weird image you get in you mind's eye. Don't think much. Just do it. If you are an innovator/creative girlie like me, let your mind run wild. You can do this! ❤

7:28 UI/UX? Gurl, take that off the list! 😶I work for an extremely well know internarional company as a UX designer and it is absolute hell (I have worked in smaller firms before and the situation wasn't very different there either). No one in the design community will ever say it is a "low-stress" job cos it does get extremely stressful. The deadlines are brutal and expect long working hours and work over weekends. The supply is exceeding the demand in the industry at the moment so there is too much saturation leading to competition and thanks to AI many companies are downsizing their design departments so that's not a good sign in terms of sustainability for this career path either. I see soo many people over romanticise design careers as "easy" but no one seem to realise the level of burnout we designers experience, daily.

I'm studying to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. In some ways the path is a bit "rough" (bedside nursing, grad school, etc - yikes!) BUT I think in the long term, it's a career that offers A LOT of flexibility and financial ease (especially if you can get your employer or the US gov -- check our employee tuition programs, HRSA, etc.) You could take years off of work (or go part time or per diem) to raise your kids as a SAHM without any fear of your skill set and experience becoming irrelevant. Just keep your credentials and go to a conference every once and a while! Likewise, pediatrics is one of the "warmer and fuzzy" specialities in health care and there are opportunities to pivot into other industries like tech, pharmaceuticals, etc. I WOULD LOVE to get advice from other NPs or RNs in the chat, and am happy to answer questions too :)
All of these jobs are incredibly stressful if you’re not passionate about it. I would hate to send my kid to a SLP that doesn’t care about kids and just wants a low stress job..

I'm an academic librarian, and I want to clarify that the information provided is misleading. There are different types of libraries and, therefore, different types of librarians and salaries. The average librarian will only make $50,000 entry-level if they work in a particular library (corporate, medical, law, or university), but those positions often require applicants with professional experience or a second degree. Those same libraries are the only ones who will pay over $65,000 a year, with some exceptions. Outside of those said libraries, you're more likely to see wages starting between $30,000-$40,000 a year for entry-level librarians, especially for public librarian positions. Remote librarian positions are also uncommon and highly competitive. And considering the history of librarianship, vocational awe, and the current political climate, it's a high-stress position. Fortunately, an MLIS can be used to land other jobs-- knowledge management, digital asset management, UX/UI, etc.-- that offer better wages, better work environments, and less stress. This isn't to deter anyone interested in librarianship, but I want to remove the rose-tinted glasses in this profession. Librarianship can be very rewarding but also harm your mental and physical well-being.
Thank you for the clarification! In Part 2, there’s a recap on this first video that explains how Librarians, UX/UI designers & Interior designers expressed how stressful their jobs *actually* are. These 3 professions are the main professions that have received pushback from the video.
Nursing can be very rewarding and depending on your interest you can find a nursing specialty that fits you, now ICU and ER nursing is off the charts stressful, school nurse, nurse at a resort, or cruise ship,, just need variety of knowledge for the luxury jobs, pay can be very nice
I have a bachelor's degree in Nutrition science and worked as a community Nutritionist. It was a highly stressful job working in low income communities the clients were incredibly rude, abusive to their kids, hostile and demanding. Other Dieticians work in the hospital and its also very stressful calculating and planning meals for people who have chronic illness. Others Dieticians work in schools districts and hospitality managing the finances, budget of meals, ingredients, etc. nowadays a bachelor's isn't enough and nutrition jobs want a masters degree. Most careers are just a scam because there aren't job opportunities and don't include internships and job trainings in college. Be very selective and do your research before wasting time and money.

As somone who is a trained architect who worked on a lot of interior designs...being an interior designer is NOT, i repeat, NOT stress-free! After being in the field for 7 years, I decided to leave because it was the epitome of stress, long hours, and very little pay. Hi

Could you take the intern route to get your foot in the door or would you have to go to school for interior design
As an interior designer myself, I agree 100% with this comment. It’s a rewarding career but don’t be fooled it can be stressful. I wouldn’t trade it though. Gotta have a passion for it.
Social Media Manager and Content Strategist here, girls don't be fooled it is really stressful. Being in digital marketing and social media is good if you actually enjoy creating content and even tho the stress levels are high
I agree, I was surprised to see it on here since it's pretty demanding
What about copywriter?
Also, content designer/UX writer?
i really love that these all werent tech roles. so much variety!! thank you!
Omg! This just made me realize that I want to be an art therapist ! I battled for so long between the medical field and arts! I wanted to work in psych or something related to mental health k had NO IDEA arts therapy was even a thing ! Thank you sooo much for this video! 😭😭😭💗
You hate white women so much you had to make two comments about it, huh?
It's when you're destined to have a soft life in your evening that you can only find yourself in such position.
We all pray for a soft life as well, and my advice for any reading this is you should try and prophecy to your life and be checking your spiritual life as well. Have you spiritual cleansing done.
Yeah you're actually right my dear 👍

You should try get a spiritual personnel that will be checking up on you any possible time. Thanks
I actually clicked on this vid bc I was curious I already know what I will be doing.
But to see interior design made me happy.
I actually start college for interior design in August. 😊
I'm doing a training course to become a birth and postpartum doula. I'll get to make my own prices and set my own schedule and I'll get to be helping moms and babies. In a lot of states you don't even need the certificate, you can just start your business.
🥴 That's one of the main careers that needs to be licensed
@@Heyu7her3 you’re very helpful in the comments. All doulas don't need to be licensed, but it’s always good to check local regulations.
@@Heyu7her3 Actually no it's not. Not in the US anyway, most states only require licensure if you want to be taking payment from health insurance plans. If you're not, then you can start the business it's literally just being a paid support person for people giving birth and in their postpartum time.
@@Heyu7her3You are a very negative spirit try to be better and not spread negativity.
Also you don’t know what a doula means they aren’t midwives.
The definition of a doula is a person trained to advise, inform, and offer emotional and physical comfort to a mother before, during, and after the birth of her child. The word doula comes from the Greek word doulē, the meaning of which translates to female helper or maidservant
@@books6000it’s not that deep. I’m sure she’s referring to the fact you’re helping someone bring a life to this world so someone with a license to do it would make sense. But that fact that’s it not a requirement, is a wow factor.
I'm a translator and the following jobs from your video were interesting to me: Technical Writer, Virtual Assistant, Content Strategist and Social Media Manager.
Such a good topic to cover. Even the title felt like a breath of fresh air. I'm seeing some women in the comments using the word soft when describing how they want their life to be. Thanks for this video instead of a typical rise and grind whip. ✨♥️💐
I work as a recruiter which falls under the human resources category and I can confirm that its a great job! Once you know wbat you're doing the stress is low and the added plus that wasnt mentioned here is that recruiters can work remotely whereas a lot of other roles mentioned here have to be in-person. The opportunity to work from home is a big plus.
Could you say more about this job, how you get into it, etc? Thank you! ❤
How do you get into recruiting? I really enjoy connecting people with opportunities
Landscape designer here, I can 100% say interior designer is not for the lazy. I work side by side with them and their mood is determined by their clients' wants. lol let's just say it's a roller coaster of emotions.
Social Work, There is a Ton you can do. My specific Specialization is Gerontology. This Field will grow 40% within the Decade. The Highest Paying SW Career Right Now is Corporate Social Responsibility that Pays $90,000 a Yr. There is so much you can do with SW. There is Money, you have to find it.
So it depends on you
I'm an interior designer. The stress level can be high at times. And the starting pay is some times lower than that $50k... you could start in the $30,000 range. Do your own research people!
I'm a librarian and I love my job, but we are mostly overworked and underpaid, and you need a Masters degree.
Im a second year as an interior design technologist, so my program is more technology centred and technical focused. Just know ladies if you want to do interior design, don’t confuse it with interior decorating!
You’ll also be involved in renovation work, so you’ll have your hand in construction (knowing how douments are drafted, and construction components).
And you may have to manage a lot of things by yourself in the starting, but you can later outsource technical tasks for more ease. ❤
i can't thank you enough for this video. I've been out of school for a good while bc i don't have a dream job and have no idea what to do with myself. all i want is a good paying job, low stress, and yes, allows me to reside in my feminity. please make more videos of this subject.
Is it possible to earn a living doing freelance work? Or even doing Web design instead?

Having a government job is a sweet deal. Nursing while a good profession and has lots of areas to move into and pays well it's probably more demanding than your govvy job.
I’m working towards becoming a mental health counselor, healer, working with arts, plants, and writing. @@h.f.6610 hi there! I wouldn't say being a supply chain specialist is hard, you just have to possess the ability to disseminate and compartmentalize vast amounts of varying information since supply chain management encompasses so many departments of the trade value chain. You've also gotta prioritize your mental health and fitness because it can become pretty turbulent due to unforeseen macro and micro economic circumstances which may arise which will require agile and tactical responses. If you like a challenge and are keen to facilitate real economic impact, supply chain management is for you! Best wishes 💜
I’m interested in a few lol but I’m already educated in HR and work in that now and if you want 90-100k you will have to work weekends and overtime. The company culture can also make or break your hr career. So choose wisely girlies. I’m looking to change out of Hr hahaha

This is such an eye opener video! I have had several dreams. The top one is to be an Author. I've already started writing my books, however, I know it may not be as financially giving; at least not for new authors. I will be doing that as a side venture for now. Next, I want to go into Real Estate. Now that I have moved to a new state, the requirements are of course different and more expensive. Going through jobs and not being able to really support myself. I am so tired of going from job to job, my body wearing out. Ugh, I'll get there and will keep in a positive spirit!

Do you do mentorships?
I'm studying to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. In some ways the path is a bit "rough" (bedside nursing, grad school, etc - yikes!) BUT I think in the long term, it's a career that offers A LOT of flexibility and financial ease (especially if you can get your employer or the US gov -- check our employee tuition programs, HRSA, etc.)
You could take years off of work (or go part time or per diem) to raise your kids as a SAHM without any fear of your skill set and experience becoming irrelevant.
In nursing school, one of my teachers was a pediatric NP and she seemed to absolutely love it. Wishing you the best!
Looking into Bookkeeping, more because I can work for my self plus work from home
Yes I'm with you! I have started a deep dive into bookkeeping as well.
All of these jobs are incredibly stressful if you’re not passionate about it. I would hate to send my kid to a SLP that doesn’t care about kids and just wants a low stress job..
Yes!! Working with people in general like counseling, SLP and etc are stressful mentally. It can burn you out quickly if you do not practice self care.
@@nayelimedrano7606 agreed. But I also think you missed my point.

A dream career is being a flight attendant or fragrance consultant.

I'm an architect, but i know for sure ID is a stressful environment. Creative jobs in general have its own monster. And it depends on the workplace as well. Like if you're only doing smaller projects as oppose to larger scale, small clientele vs larger groups of people, etc. So just a heads up for anyone consider. But as mentioned, best way to know is through experience, lean more into working under them before schooling.
My dream career is to become an architecture.

I’m and computer/electrical Engineer right now but I’m trying to break away into something else. The field is so male dominated. I am the only woman and more specifically the only black woman that works as an engineer on my team. It’s so stressful…
