They’re not sexy but…compression socks! They prevent varicose veins, but they also improve circulation, reduce swelling, and help with lymphatic drainage. If you’re standing or sitting for long hours, they’re a huge help.

If I may add: self care does not have to be expensive. Self care is about your personal pleasure and therefore should be accessible to YOU. Do the little thigs that bring you pleasure and have fun. Change your bras regularly. Change your beddings too. Wash the braids under your wig. Get your wigs washed (diy or professionally). I hope this helps someone!

I’d like to add two tips: oil pulling for 10-15 minutes a night before flossing and brushing your teeth. I usually do it while I shower 😊. Also, using antibacterial soap like the gold Dial bar before your moisturizing body wash, especially in the summer. This is for the girlies who sweat and want to avoid that musty smell! Overall great video! ❤️

@anagha7990 it is not bad at all! It's not only good for oral health, but internal health too! Make sure it's a real oil, like 100% virgin coconut oil or 100% olive oil, not those "vegetable oils," and it will be fine.

This comment will probably drown but before you buy a ton of things for your backne, make sure to wash your back again after you conditioning your hair. You don't want all that oil on your back, especially during summer. I realized that was the cause of my backne when I started to put my hair over one shoulder when conditioning and had a huge breakout on that side. 🙃😚😚

Or just flip your hair upside down when conditioning and then put it up in a bun to sit for a bit while doing other things in the shower. Then flip it upside down again when rinsing out so the conditioner never touches your skin

Here are some of my micro habit grooming tips!!
    - Fresh aloe vera, blended and left on the hair for about an hour.
    - ½ Water and ½ Apple Cider Vinegar to condition the hair for 5 mins and as a facial toner!!! Your skin will be poreless!
    - A detox clay mask on the hair at least once a month!
    - Oil cleansing the skin! Especially to remove makeup!
    - Castor oil on the eyebrows and eyelashes every night before bed!!!
    - Coating your floss in toothpaste before flossing!
    - Oil pulling!!!! Gets rid of hard plaque!!! Hard plaque will fall off the teeth if you oil pull for about a week straight! I’ve had several older people I know try it!😮
    - This is a verrrrry weird tip, but swishing your teeth with FRESH celery juice will get rid of bad breath and strengthen the teeth (you might even feel circulation in your teeth as well!!)
    - Clean your earrings at least once a week!
    - Learn the Infradian Rhythm!!!
    - Leave a moisturizing sheet mask on until it dries completely! A silicone face mask can keep the serums on your skin for longer! A friend of mine from Korea drives to work with a face mask on! And his skin is amazing!! 🤩
    - Carrying around a hydrosol to mist the face throughout the day!! Keep the skin moist, not dry!!
    - Also!! Im a natural deodorant girlie who wears the crystal deodorant (which previously NEVER used to work on me!!)! LOLOL😂 It was due to HS that I became a serious natural gal! (HS is a condition where large cysts appear in areas where the lymph nodes are concentrated and no, I no longer struggle with HS!🎉) My tips for not stinking during the Summer and even having my coworkers & customers (at a high end restaurant) tell me I smell amazing (AFTER WORK!) are 1. Eat clean!!!! Especially dark leafy greens/foods filled with chlorophyll & drink lots of warm to hot water with a pinch of salt and/or lemon, 2. Detox your underarms with a clay mask at least once a month, 3. Stop using deodorant with aluminum in it (research it!), 4. Exfoliate your underarms and use a witch hazel toner! 5. Fenugreek capsules arent only great for hair growth, but for underarm smell as well! (You’ll be smelling like maple syrup after a workout), 6. Hair holds onto smell, so remove hair if you wish! 7. Oil perfume on your pulse points! 8. Parasite cleanse or candida cleanse once a year! Also I dont sweat as much as I used to compared to when I used to wear using conventional deodorant and my clothes no longer have deodorant stains!

Hey!! Did you only have hs on the armpits? I've had hs since i was like 9, maybe younger.
I'm 24 now, I have them all over my private parts, too many scars to count, and well, just not pretty. Did you get rid of the scars? Do you have good advice? Tips like food, water, etc. I don't really appreciate it since I already eat well or i just eat like a normal human being who appreciates food😅 and i drink a lot of water, and I'm also clean. (I only say that as people instantly think drinking water clears everything, not to be rude) 🥲 any advice would be great. If not, it's fine:) ❤

    • @nilaja5380
      @nilaja5380 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

@@imknownforstartingafire Yes, I did have it there too. It happens where lymph nodes are concentrated. I believe that HS develops due to loads of toxin build up in our body’s waste system (so because the lymph system doesnt have a pump, like the circulatory system, we have to manually pump it ourselves!)
Along with the tips above, some more tips for HS, that have helped me! 1. Do not shave, it makes it worse, wax or epilate instead! 2. Change your Hygiene and Cleaning Products to non-toxic ones, 3. You have to move your lymphatic system! Anything that moves the blood, moves the lymphatic system! So exercising regularly, drinking herbal teas or taking herbal capsules that target and cleanse the lymphatic system (ie burdock root, ginger, red clover, etc.), of course drinking water, but make sure youre drinking water “properly” (the way I described 👆🏾), exfoliation, lymphatic drainage massage!, etc.! 4. Check for mold in the house, because mold and other underlying infections can make it worse (ie parasites, candida, etc), 5. I would invest in some sort of an herbal detox/cleanse once or twice a year like Organic Olivia’s Parapro Formula.
The scars will go away with time, regular exfoliation and regular moisturization! Treat those areas of skin like your facial skin care!
Remember that HS is an auntoimmune disorder, so try eating an Autoimmune Protocol (AIP) diet which is under the Paleo Diet for a certain amount of time and doing other things that you cleanse the body and the lymphatic system.
As you do more and more of these things, you’ll be able to determine why you had a flare! (My father, my twin and I no longer have flares, no scarring).
If you havent changed your deodorant yet, I would recommend Schmidts or the aluminum free Arm & Hammer deodorant because aluminum makes it worse!

    1. PLEASE PLEASE people learn to use BIDET SPRAYS/jet sprays to cleanse yourself down there everytime you pee or poo. Theyre available on amazon for like 10-15$ and easy to install. They will change your personal hygiene especially during periods in ways that you will NEVER return from. (Tissue paper alone is soooo 100yrs ago.)
    2. Also WET WIPES to clean down there after you use the toilet. Or really for anything in general. whether to cleanse hand or body when water is not available.
3.Using a TONGUE SCRAPER as mentioned in the video is also an absolutely life changing hygiene tool that you will never turn back from.
    4. For acne girls. Please make the time to visit a dermatologist and get an ORAL MEDICATION for acne. Acne needs to be treated like any other skin condition. In most cases Topical treatments or skin care is not enough. It'll either be an antibiotic or retiniod meds (whatever your doc prescribes) that you have take for a few months but NOTHING will clear your skin like proper oral medication will. In most cases it will significantly or completely destroy you acne.
    5. BENZYOL PEROXIDE (panoxyl- mask, 5min, once a week) or AHAs for underarems as deodorant. You can't smell if the bacteria that cause the odor are dead. (AHA toners for belly button, feet and skin in general are fantastic and benzyol peroxide facewash or cream for pastular acne is unlike anything else)
    6. small nail brushes to clean under your nails daily. (especially for those long nailed girlies)
    7. OILING hair once a week (especially thick, dry hair girles) NOTHING will make your hair pretty and healthy like oiling will. (Castor oil, rosemary oil, onion oil, coconut oil, argan oil combo is recommended) Also RICE WATER. (Also good for eyelash growth and eyebrows and nails health)
    8. Do not forget LEAVE IN conditioner. Conditioner/hair mask alone is wasted without applying leave in conditioner to actually seal in the moisture that is applied. (Use diluted apple cider vinegar as well. Works as a leave in conditioner. Its also recommended if you use hard water to clean your hair)
    9. Always have HAND SANITIZER on hand. Use liberally and frequently before and after anything.
    10. Go to a dentist at least ONCE to get your teeth professionally cleaned.

I just wanted add something, It can be controversial, but don't shave your intimate areas often, you see the thing is, it is there to protect your vagina from bacteria, you can trim it if it gets too long, but shaving often is bad as per my gynecologist.

I would disagree because yes it can protect you but often it can also trap dirt if you sweat a lot or visit dirty places such as public bathroom or toilet the hair will trap dirt and the bacteri can live on the hair and then you can get infections because of it
It's definitely okay to shave if you don't want to you don't have to but if you notice unwanted smell even though you clean yourself it might be the hair especially if you have a lot it doesn't give room to properly clean your vulva because the hair is blocking the area
But it depends on the person

    • @sweetchocolate7113
      @sweetchocolate7113 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

@drilonkennedy-gorne2049 you got my message confused the vagina is self cleaning not the vulva you actually physically need to wash your vulva with a gentle unscented soap because due to us wearing panties moisture will bulid up and moisture leads to creating dead skin cells and worst case bad bacteria especially if your underwear isn't a breathable one hence why a lot of women stink like fish down there because they don't wash their vulva and if you have hair it traps so much more dead skin cells it's definitely advised to wash your vulva daily if you want better hygiene both shaved or unshaved
You might you think don't smell but other people definitely can smell you ideally your not supposed to smell because some women do wash there but still smell it literally could be because of their pubic hair so I would say shave once in a while to rid of the bad bacteria trapped on your pubic hair.

I'm glad that you said something about the hand washing and the smelly feet situation. So girl, let me tell you:
    1. We were testing at the end of the school year (for Teachers and Staff). I work with a woman who took off her shoes and put her smelly feet on someone sitting next to her. Her feet stunk so bad that the person she exposed her feet to told her, "Your feet stink, what are you doing? Put you shoes back on!" The woman thought it was funny as her smell echoed from her socks...even if you shower, and you know you didn't wash your feet, there's nothing funny about having horrible hygiene like that.
    2. I hate when women just rinse ONE hand (the one they touched themselves with) under the water, shake, douse their hands in Sanitizer (if they have it, which I doubt), and leave the Restroom...and I'm glad you said something about that because it's disgusting! Why go on this "Feminine Journey" if you can't do this one thing that takes 2 minutes or less to ensure your cleanliness as a Woman. Especially if you know you've got stuff on your hands still from using the Restroom, an infection, or even worse an STD. Why infect everyone else with it or make it worse for yourself by not washing BOTH HANDS. Hand Sanitizer isn't always effective either...wash BOTH HANDS please.

I love this video so much. Many of these things are what my mother taught me too. Some we don't do because either some of the products are very expensive where we live, or unavailable, but this is absolutely correct, in so many ways. Self-care should always be about hygiene and feeling good first. Personal hygiene keeps you healthy and clean, and if at any point you end up carrying a virus or bacteria that could potentially make you sick or make someone else sick, by staying clean, chances are that you or anyone else you interact with won't get sick. It significantly reduces the chances. And the most important part: if you feel good, light, and clean, you'll be happy and less stressed. Which will automatically make you less prone to health issues, lethargy, acne, etc. My self-care routine is lacking in some areas a bit, and I will follow this from now on, but I have experienced that. Your skin is your biggest organ, take care of it.

My favorite way to exfoliate before shaving is with a Korean exfoliation mitt, you don’t need any product, just skin and mitt. Trick is to make sure you and the mitt are damp and not wet.
Exfoliating like this releases the skin and any hairs trapped under the skin in prep for shaving. Also, is great for ingrown hairs.

Suggestion for the pits: Witch hazel on an exfoliating or regular cotton round. Just swipe it a few times and you'll be good (this is for daily since I normally do a weekly exfoliation due to sensitive and dry skin) It takes a minute for your body to get used to it but I promise that your top pieces wont smell as bad when they go in the wash (although I still suggest spraying the pits to get rid of the stains that also carry the smell still even after you wash them)

Perfume for me is like body odor, please don’t torture us with perfume every day. It’s crazy being in a place full of people and everyone smelling strong and different five meters around
It could be fine for special occasions, for every day a more gentle smell like cologne is better
Also most of the perfumes aren’t good for health
Perfume on a daily basis is an assult to the senses, we are too many people around

Guys if your skin sweats and smells (and isn't dry, if its dry dont try it) no matter what you do, wash yourself in baking soda. Add it to your bodywash and keep on your skin for a while. The downside is that the perfume probably won't stay long on your skin but you can technically spray it on your clothes.

Maybe after washing your scalp you spritz with clean water (oil on damp skin is magic omg) you add a few drops of oil to your hands rub them together to warm them then massage your scalp?❤ hope this helps
