On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you prefer more up close and personal dogfights consider the IL-2 Sturmovik: Great Battle series and experience intense WWII aerial combat over famous battlefields such as Stalingrad, Moscow, Rhineland and Normandy. Fight in and against Russian, American, German, British warbirds such as the P-51 Mustang, P-47 Thunderbolt, Bf-109, FW-190, Spitfire, Hurricane and rugged IL-2 Sturmovik attack plane. You can also fly legendary SPADS, Fokkers and Camels in WWI dogfights over the trenches of WWI and discover your inner Red Baron! And all of this can be experienced in jaw dropping virtual reality!

I'm not a DCS player, in fact I don't even like flying. Yet always had a passion about fighter jets and the technical and tactical aspects behind all of that. This channel has taught me so much about modern aerial combat. And I love when you play with Longshot. The two of you make great content and when acting together like stooges, well..... That's the icing on the cake.

If you think those two are funny together, watch the videos where GS is flying the Tomcat and LS is his RIO. They were pretty silly flying helicopters against each other. However, if you put them both in the same Tomcat, you'll forget all about your subscription to the Comedy Channel.

Longshot's gunnery skill is getting pretty deadly. A big improvement from his Coast Guard days as a door gunner spraying rounds across entire screen.

That first kill by Longshot was amazing, and really demonstrates his experience in the mirage. He had no pipper for that shot, only the fall line, and still knew exactly when to squeeze a half second burst.
its not that he didnt have a pipper, it's the fact that it was entirely out of HUD and past the nose

Love the videos man. I'd love to see a 'winner stays on' video series where you both pick a handful of jets, say 5 each (excluding F22 and similar). And see who runs out of jets first. You have to keep the order that you pick, your jet wins it moves on to the next round. We used to play this as kids with football (soccer).

That first 30mm burst from Longshot was disgusting. His radar gun sight has hidden behind the dashboard and he lined it up blind. Those rounds have a lot of drop off on them too.

Bro I legit watched one of your videos, it was f22 vs f16 and right after, I bought a simple joystick and got dcs. I now want to fly fight jets irl and you’re the reason. I think you quite honestly changed my life, I love your content and whenever I see a new video I jump on it. Those were a fun couple of engagements, mate. Longshot is incredibly killed in every aircraft I’ve seen him dropped into-you two are well-matched and you DEFINITELY make each other better, smarter pilots. I’ve been mad for fighter jets since I was a lad-mi bedroom ceiling was a nightmarishly crowded airspace, full of plastic models I’d built. an heart arrhythmia ruined my shot at actually becoming a fighter pilot, and I suppose it was good they found that, because I developed a rare adult-onset muscular dystrophy in mi late 20s. I’m 40 now and can’t even walk. In fact, I can’t even play DDCS because I can’t reach the pedals.
My point is that watching you guys makes me smile, brother. Keep up the great work!
LS is a BEAST. So glad I subscribed to him as well. I am prolly wet behind the ears but it sure Seems like we have watched his skills grow over time. If you were in a Raptor and he was in a P51, I’d watch that. So happy when you fly against him. It’s like great vs. great.

Just bout a bunch of modules in the Steam sale... Got a Thrustmaster 16000M and Track IR... Ive always loved flightsims but DCS was always so complicated and without proper gear i never did get a grip on it... But because of your videos and the literal avalanche of useful information in them me and my friend are now more motivated then ever to get stuck in! His gear came in today as well! You make it seem so easy to play this game! Hell i almost lost a turnfight with a Mig-23 in an F-15c... Talk about shame! Just wanted to say thanks for a very Merry Christmas and to have one yourself GS!

I've watched a few other DCS players and none of them approach the level of skill of GS and Longshot !! I would love to see you two in F 22's against a flight of DCS players in whatever aircraft they choose starting at BVR and working to the merge !! Maybe 8 bandits vs 2 Raptors. It would be fun watching you two handle the situational awareness needed to splash all 8 adversaries ! Food for thought !!!👍🏾😁🇺🇸
No fun in putting these two in Raptors. The plane is pretty overpowered and they know how to use it.

Yet another Great Video! Would like to see a dogfight between a Rafale vs EF2000. This will be an interesting grudge match since the French decided to build Rafale after pulling out of the EF2000 project due to some design disagreements.

Give Longshot a Rafale and you'll be fliying same gen and two platforms that originated from almost the same requirement (before the all too common european divorces like the leo1/amx30).
It would be terrific to see how those fighters fare up against each other.
Longshot is also an extremely good pilot. The way he can survive for a long time and even win once in a relatively older Mirage 2000 going against GS flying a much more sophisticated and advanced Eurofighter is awesome!

I hope GS you can make a duel between a Eurofighter Typhoon and a Rafale. As we know the French originally joined with the Brits in developing the Eurofighter Typhoon on its early stages but the French left the program to develop their own fighter which is the Rafale.

For me, the Mirage is the most beautiful delta wing fighter ever, and it fighted also really good for it's age against the Eurofighter.

'Eurofighter Typhon' is made of stealth materials. But the problem is it isn't designed stealthy.

Again Longshot very impressive. But the two circle superiority of the Typhoon is equally impressive. Another detail that impressed is GS's ability to drag the mirage down to the deck into a two circle fight 100% reliably. Is there no tactic to evade for a jet like the mirage?
Generally, no. When you're fighting an airframe that's got rate superiority, once you fall into that pattern there's literally nothing you can do. If you try to break out and away, you're dumping energy and giving the superior opponent a near-guaranteed shot with either guns or missile. All you can really do is draw it out as long as possible and hope that they screw up. If they make no mistakes, you're dead.
Longshot is like a snake, even if you chop off it's head, it will try to bite you with it's last breath xD

The Mirage's shooting opportunities are numerous, it is a truly dangerous plane for any adversary from the first turns.
