I love my Samsung TVs, and I wanted to be able to love their appliances. A buddy did his entire house with all new Samsung appliances a couple years ago and had constant problems with stuff that was 1-2 years old.
Fridge ice dispenser kicked it, microwave circuit board/display lights/buttons went toast, dishwasher sensor errors that completely bricked it until they were replaced, washer and/or dryer had major issues too but I wasn’t involved in helping with those repairs - so, not sure what the issues were. Point is, I am declaring another couple votes against risking buying any Samsung appliances that aren’t glowing rectangles.

Yes. I was looking for a new refrigerator about five years ago. I looked at the Samsung models. They offer a lot of features. But what I don't like is having an ice maker within the refrigerator compartment instead of the freezer section. Doing that seems to increase problems for some reason.
After reading through many reviews, I got the feeling that Samsung refrigerators overall don't seem to last. I bought a Whirlpool just like what was shown in the video and I haven't regretted it. I had bought a Kenmore Elite model before, and it was Whirlpool that was building the refrigerators for Sears. That one lasted almost 19 years. Hopefully the current Whirlpool will last at least as long.

I’ve learned that in the long run, appliance are made to last 7-15 years these days. Doesn’t matter the brand. Nothing will last like they used to. We had a GE fridge, it would fluctuate temperature, the door panel screen that shows the temperature and controls the ice and water went out, the fan in the freezer had to be replaced. We just replaced it with a Samsung bespoke French door with ice maker in the drawer. Any French door with ice and water in the fridge area is asking for trouble.

I knew it was probably a mistake but hoped to get a few years out of it. Nine years later, we haven’t had a problem other than the flap (mullion) between the two doors stopped closing which was replaced on warranty. No other fridge has ever kept food longer or produce fresher. BTW, we don’t use the ice maker which is not on the door. i have a Samsung refrigerator that I bought in November of 2018. My freezer went bad and got to a temperature of 73 degrees!😳 I called Samsung to have them come snd fix it. The company that was coming out to look at it told me it would be $100 trip charge,$100 diagnostic charge, + parts and labor. When they arrived, they looked at my paperwork and informed me that the fridge was under warranty, by just under two months. They came out a week later and fixed it. It works great now, including the ice maker. Since the refrigerator was under warranty ... it did not cost me anything out of pocket.

Technician came out and tried to fix it but it only worked for about a month and thrn the 2nd tech came out and could not fix it. It was still under warranty and Home Depot tried to deny the warranty but we were so pissed that we told them to come get it or we would load it in our truck and dump it at the front doors. They promptly gave us a refund and a huge discount on our Whirlpool which is still running fine.

The absolute BEST refrigerators I've ever owned were a 1957 GE and then a 1961 GE...
The '57 was plugged in and running for 30 years when I "found" it in the basement kitchen of a house that I was doing some electrical work in, way back in 1987.
The elderly lady that owned it said she just didn't need it any longer and sold it to me for ten whole dollars!
I used that fridge in my first home until I sold the place in '96.... I'm pretty sure that it was the refrigerator that sold the house 😁
Fast forward to 2005 when I married my second wife. We bought an old farmhouse "out in the country", which didn't come with a fridge.
My Father In Law said "just take the one out in my garage" and gave us their '61 GE... Cream yellow with the fridge above and freezer below, ice maker and everything else.
It has been running EVERY DAY since he and my Mother In Law bought it new in 1961 and she took the absolute best care of it all it's life... Appliance Wax every month and cleaned out every two weeks.
People come over to visit and always ask to buy it from us😂
