    Two things:
    1) When dividing fractions in half, double the denominator. Example: half of 11/16, is 11/32
    2) If you ever need to use your tow hooks to pull anything with some weight behind it, it will fail. There are threads on some internet forums with this set up, where the drivers found out the hard way.

      So I was building a swingset this weekend and remembered your tip for fractions, it's so easy, lol. Don't know why it never clicked like that before. Thanks! Also, I've pulled several vehicles and downed trees since installing that light bar. Maybe you are correct and they will break one day, but the amount of abuse I put my old dodge though with those single sided tow hooks leads me to believe otherwise. And don't worry, if they ever do fail, I'll make a video about it. Thanks for watching and thanks again for that time saving tip!

    I just moved the tow hooks outward and re-drilled their mount holes. A lot quicker and waaaay easier js

    Hello sir! I’m late to the party I know, I just installed the Yitamotor light bar on my Jeep JKU with their kit. How is the light bar holding up? For some reason the pictures don’t show it being that bright but on mine it’s stupid bright! I wonder if the higher up the light is the better it does? Granted the light bar I have is a 50 inch I believe.

      Still hanging in strong and mine is plenty bright. I got cussed out by an old man coming up the trail when I forgot it was on a couple months ago. Oops, lol. I love mine down low because it makes shadows in the holes and dips and I can pick a better line through the rough stuff. I bought some pods that I'm going to install up high so I can see down the road when I am moving a little faster on the softer stuff.

    Dodge has been using metric bolts and nuts long before fiat!

      Please post the link and I'll pin it for others that don't want to do all the work. The only ones I could find were fabricated and ran $80-$150. No sweat off my back spending 2 hours in the garage, but others might appreciate it.

    Hlo I have question ? The switch you have in side the truck for the led light when you turn off ignition truck is locked on the switch light still stay Red or no light ???

    • @RoadandReel
      @RoadandReel  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The switch inside stays lit while on, even when the truck is turned off. It has ambient lights that light up the switches when my headlights are on. I hope that answers your question.

    Which one would you recommend on my 2001 dodge ram 1500 please.

    • @RoadandReel

      I went with the 32" curved. I had a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 and I put my off road lights behind the grill and they shined through without problems. They were hidden and out of the way and worked when needed. You could probably fit the 29" straight led light. I would get the highest wattage possible and I like flood lights up front.

      I used a hot wire on the back of the headlight switch.

    By completely blocking the transmission intercooler, I take it you don't tow much?

    • @RoadandReel
      @RoadandReel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I only do about 15k miles a year with a 6,000lb trailer. So, no, not much. I would hate to see what happens when the factory puts a winch there on the Power Wagons, especially with a big ol' Cummins because that's where the intercooler goes. It's even crazier seeing all these builds with custom bumpers that don't even have that opening at all. It's almost like there's plenty of room and the transmission cooler is up in the grill with its own dedicated electric fan and that area in the bumper isn't needed at all. Thanks for watching!

    • @RoadandReel
      @RoadandReel  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Considering all Jeeps and most other 4x4 vehicles use a J style tow hook, I'll be fine. If I'm ever in a situation where a tow hook fails, then I should have been hooked to the axle anyway. Thank you for your concern.

    • @RoadandReel
      @RoadandReel  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gsrhatch14 True, but Dodge used a J hook on their 2500/3500s up until 2008. I've done a lot of questionable things while off-road and that doesn't necessarily make them right. Often times, the axle tube is the strongest part that's accessible especially with these newer 4 link suspensions. To each their own and do whatever you feel is safest.

    18mm on an American Truck way to go Fiat!! Haha!! In case you didn't know any car built from the year 2000 is build with the metric system hardware. Even Rams or Fords or Chevys. Thank God! I never understood the old english imperial system anyway. :'D The metric system is so easy, even the military use it, because it's more accurate.

    • @RoadandReel
      @RoadandReel  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ha, I'm just making a joke. I'm actually a high school science teacher so I mostly think in metric. Multiples of tens are way better than whatever is happening in the English Imperial system 😆

    can this fit with hooks on a ram 1500? 2016 sport?

    • @RoadandReel
      @RoadandReel  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the 1500 has a different style of hooks and this won't work. You would need an aftermarket bracket to do it.
