- How to change the oil on a 2014-2015, and 2016 YZ250F. The procedure is the same for the 2015 YZ250FX and 2015 WR250F. The YZ250FX and WR250F require slightly more oil. Oil measurements included in video.

Just changed the oil and filter on my WR250F. First time I have done it myself, video was a good help. Thanks!
If anyone wants to learn about Jesus Christ reply
You guys should do a video on valve adjustment or any other normal maintenance needed on these off-road models.

Changed my oil and filter routinely. Never changed the black screen. Gonna go do that now. Lol
Where do you get those o rings ??? And what kind of oil full synthetic or half ? Good video but no links or anything ?
hey bro, you forget the check bolt on the side of the cylinder to ensure the pump is scavenging oil properly. if they skip this they could destroy the top end of the motor.
where is the check bolt at?
how much oil did you put in there, I can't find the exact amount anywhere well thank you
Hello, great video! Quick question, what size hex socket do you need to tighten the big engine plug cap on the left side? Thanks!
I don't know about this bike, (or if it's just my bike) but on my Hyosung GT650R I almost overfilled the bike with oil because somehow the stator magnet held some oil and the mechanic told me to lean the bike the other side and then check, and there you go, it turned out to be full!
Is the engine oil and trans oil the same thing ?
So is there no transmission oil. So like by changing the engine oil its changing the transmission oil at the same time?
ya only hondas have to seprate oils
How much oil do you put in on a 2018 yz250f
So, like the older ones. Do you have a set screw you have to start the bike, loosen the bolt and wait til it comes out a touch anymore? Thanks
this bike has had a serious beating for a 2016 model it's ruff
should have put some fresh oil on the mating surface on the new oil filter
rusty chain
I changed the oil in my bike and when I turn it on their is no oil in the sight glass but as I let it cool down its level their is that how's it's suppose to be,
Hot Knife that's what mine is doing too
+Xice hmm I wounder why
Yea same why is that is it meant to be like that
Its happening to me too I do a oil change then start the bike then the pil in the site glass disappears then I can see it creeping back up but does anyone have this problem it happend to me a while a go did a oil change started the bike then most of the oil went flooding into the oil filter
I got yz250f 2007 ,how much oil goes in the engine? My yz250f have oil reservoar from front side of the engine.
how much oil?
Which type of oil for engine need yamaha yzf 250 2017?
You forgot to mention whether to check the oil level when the bike is on a sidestand or if it needs to be upright in a wheel chock or something.
+Casey Weaver You always check oil levels with a totally upright motorcycle. Thanks for watching.
+Chuck Beaubuck yes... always..
Does anyone know what the part number is for the oil screen or the seal part number for the oil screen
a good item in your tool box is......
Why does the FX take more oil than the F?
Cody McCall because it’s a different bike
So how much does the f take
Watch the video homie. He tells you at the end
LUBE YOUR CHAINNN!!
You keep saying “great item to have in your tool box” but don’t tell us where to get them
Motorsport or Revzilla; Both great, but I love Revzilla’s free 2-Day shipping for almost all items
That bike looks beat to hell
+jacobriver198 no joke. It's a 16 and looks like its 10 years old.
God bless, Jesus loves you
This is a 4 stroke right?
+Daniel De Bruijn Yes, this is a four-stroke.
+Motorcycle USA ok thanks cause 2 strokes have oil directly in the gasoline right?
+Daniel De Bruijn two stroke also has engine oil similar to this one.
the oil that mix with the gasoline is 2t, which is different oil
a four stroke motor, which is what this is, uses the oil stored in the cases to lubricate the valve train (valves, lifters, rollers, cam, chain, etc.), the transmission, clutch and cylinder. a two stroke motor the cylinder is sealed off from the transmission. the oil in the cases is used only to lubricate the transmission and the clutch. the oil added to the gasoline is used to lubricate the rod bearings, piston bearings, power valve, and cylinder walls. the oil is then forced out as part of the exhaust to collect throughout the exhaust system leaving the beautiful black splooge that leaks out of the tail pipe....
the oil change on a two stroke is extremely simple. remove drain plug. drain oil. replace drain plug. fill oil to fill point (usually a weep hole), warm motor, check oil level, ride bike as if rabid zombie wolverines were chasing you, repeat oil change at 15 hrs of rabid wolverine style riding...
What the hell is that silver thing on the oil filter screen around 2:00?!?!?
I pulled mine out and it didn't have it.
Same here
fuck I forgot to warm my bike up
is it bad that I didn’t warm it up?
Oil viscosity for this model?
