    This is surely one of the best tech tutorials I have ever used. Clear, concise, well organized and easy to follow. I got my Sonoff RF Bridge onto Tasmota in no time at all, and the additional configuration exercises in HA, and Rules to transmit MQTT messages allowed me to learn new things. Thank You!!!!

    I bought the device in the hopes of controlling my integrated kichten lights.
    Too bad nothing got detected. Not a single device.
    So I went for the direct hack.
    And it now can operate a single device 😅
    I'll probably have a look at the rf link.
    All in all, it was a fun ride.
    Thanks!

    Thank you very much!!!, I had many problems, specially flashing tasmota (I had to download a windows driver for the usb programmer CP2102), but finally it worked and resurrected many old RF devices!! that's really great!

      which one do you have? and would you share your driver? i had to use my raspberry and ssh to do so

    • @MarianoGutierrezIg

      @@ArbeitNerv hi! I have cp2102. My problems came from the drivers. I didn’t noticed my Windows wasn’t detecting it. So I simply search for the drivers. If you don’t find them easily try looking for more data (manufacturer, model, etc) from windows device management.
      I can’t remember well, just did it once, and flash it once.

    Would it be possible to explain what the template elements are responsible for?
    {"NAME":"RFB v2.2","GPIO":[1,1,1,1,1152,1120,1,1,1,0,1,1,1,1],"FLAG":0,"BASE":18}
    Mayne RfSend is not working because it needs some GPIO setup here?

      I also followed his method with the template but in the Console nothing appeared (my RF remote button presses were not detected).
      So in the end i went back to Configuration > Configure Module and selected Sonoff Bridge (25) and ignored the Configure Others > pasting Template thing. After that my RF remote button presses started appearing in the Console and everything worked

    Hi! I make a direct hack mod, but it doesn't receives any signal. I have a Decolife remote control with 433 MHz but nothing detected when I push the button. It turns out Sonoff doesn't support my device?

    • @primetechguides3050
      @primetechguides3050  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would check the hardware steps of the mod, test other 433mhz devices, are any of them showing data? Also did you flash tasmota-sensors.bin and not just tasmota.bin , then added the RFB template?

    • @vrublevskys
      @vrublevskys 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@primetechguides3050 yes, I flashed tasmota-sensors.bin, and then added template. Also I checked hardware - and it looks good. I have two remotes working on 433mhz, and none of them receives.

      @@vrublevskys I had trouble with a modded one once,. So I got an additional stock Sonoff and tested a device that would show up on a stock one, like an alarm motion sensor. I then tested it with my faulty modded one and it received nothing. So worth testing something that should show up on a stock one to make sure its still working with the modded.

    Thank for the great Tutorial !!!!
    BUT, It's not working for me... MQTT, Wifi, Log (Connection is OK)... but No RF signal.
    I will try to FLASH the firmware again....nothing changes. My blind and my multi-function remote control do not appear in the LOGs. After changing the firmware several times... I can no longer find the Sonoff Bridge module (25)... now it's Sonoff Bridge (75)

      You did the direct mod ok and used the correct Template? One of my other ones I tried to mod I messed up somehow and I didn't get any rf codes coming through. I would double check all traces cut, and all pins correctly soldered.

    Great! Got it to work, added two door/window sensors. with rule1 xxxxx Rule1 1, added the other, rule2 xxxx Rule2 2, tried rule3 xxxx Rule3 3, no luck :-( How to add them properly? I have four. EDIT! And in the console, only the 'open' action shows up, nothing happens when closen...

      Rule2 1 it should be
      the second number is 1/0 on/off

    Thank you ! I actually have the version 1 of the bridge but I couldn't find or understand the tasmota setup for each button to work in automations. Thank you so much for this.
    So I have a Sonoff 4 button remote. I created 4 rules that are all the same besides the number and code. the first 3 buttons all set the rule correctly and work in automations. For some reason the Rule4 gets this error: stat/rf-bridge/RESULT = {"Command":"Error"}
    Any idea why this fourth rule isn't working ?
    The button does show up with it's code when pressed like the others did. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    • @kevinstern2490
      @kevinstern2490 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ok so not sure why a fourth rule just isn't working but realised I can pack more than one button per rule so just put button 3 and 4 in rule 3 and that works. If anyone knows why this is please let me know I would be interested to understand it better.

    • @kevinstern2490
      @kevinstern2490 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@milokur it was a mission. The rules thing never ended up working for me properly. what I ended up doing, was setting up the simple node-red setup like in this vid: th-cam.com/video/7VLGPZWBmO8/w-d-xo.html , then you create a home assistant automation for each button with the following setup:
      A) WHEN: an mqtt message has been receive.
      topic: tele/rf-bridge/RESULT.
      B) AND IF: Test if template renders a value equal to true.
      value template: {{ 'replace_with_your_button_code' in trigger.payload }}
      C) THEN DO: whatever
      I hope that helps !

    Does this hack allow you to send commands to RF devices as well (e.g. RF blinds) or only receive commands?

    • @jakubkrzysztofiak5611
      @jakubkrzysztofiak5611 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was trying to controll blinds (Nice Era Plus) with remote controll but modded bridge doesn't sniff the codes from the remote. If you are lucky, the device can send commands.

    • @longo218
      @longo218 ปีที่แล้ว

      Receiving works but sending not. I tried with RFsend, RFcode is unknown in this Version but used in RF Bridge variants

  • @KolasinskiDaniel
    @KolasinskiDaniel 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I have done everything as you described, but it does not receive any RF signals neither from my blinds or gate. I cut traces deep enough to see raw material - even more and I'd make a hole. I used jumper cables and soldered it solid.
