- This is continued journey along the South coast of Wales, heading into South West Wales.
First stop is the Mumbles Lighthouse, which is not open to the Public.
It used to be one of the original lights lit by coal fires. I has an interesting History that I couldn't do justice too in the time I had. Tides are vicious in the Bristol Channel. Interesting sites for more History of the place can be found at the following:

Then onto Caldey Island and its Lighthouse. You can't Holiday on Caldey, it's more of a day trip place.
There is a retreat on the Island:

A beautiful light in the darkness of life and everyday struggles. Leading us to our loved ones and making the world feel right again. Another good video Peter. Thx
Thank you very much, glad you liked it. Cheers and stay safe.
😊🎉 where there's a lighthouse there is always dramatic, beautiful scenery and danger... I love the biodiversity of Caoldy Island one of my favourite islands ... thank you 👍😊
Thank you very much. Yes, I was captivated by Caldey too, magical place. Cheers and stay safe.
Thanks for sharing. Lovely to see inside 2 of my local light houses.
Cheers Lee from Flatholm Society.
My neck of the woods. I've only been to the first island, not the second, I've seen many people wading back over the rocks after timing it wrong, also being stranded/then rescued by IRB.
Roll on South Bishop 🥰🥰🥰. I'd love to go there ❤❤
Saw Foreland Point flashing last night. Nash is my local.
Yes, South Bishop. I was posted there for a while back in the day. The Lighthouse buildings were great to stay in but the rock itself was very barren. Still a lot to see though, just had to be careful not to get swept away. Cheers and stay safe.
Thank you for another beautiful film!
Thank you very much, take care and stay safe.
That is the strangest optic I have ever seen on Caldey Island's lighthouse.
Nice change on a snowy Sunday. Thanks.
Snowy Sunday? That is a rare occurrence up here on Anglesey. I've just jinxed Anglesey by saying that, snow not Sundays. Thanks a lot and stay safe & warm.
thank you again Peter - really enjoyable as always 🙂
Mumbles Lighthouse has long held a fascination for me, being reasonably local. I've visited and photographed it many, many times. It's a shame you couldn't spend longer there, but as you say the tides in the BC are fierce and lightning quick!
There is also an old, decommissioned, cast-iron lighthouse on Gower at Whitford Point which is well worth a look too.
Thank you very much. Yes I would have loved to have stayed longer. As for the cast iron Lighthouse on Gower, that's one that I would love to visit, another difficult one to get your timing right to get too I hear. Cheers and stay safe
A lovely part of the world 😎 not seen red squirrels for years 🥰
Can’t say much for those LEDs though 😖
Yes that LED looked very strange. As for red squirrels, we are very lucky, we have some on a short walk from our house. Cheers and stay safe.
Excellent film, really interesting.
Thank you very much, glad you liked it. Stay safe.
Cool thanks mate
❤
Thank you, stay safe.
