Great video! I look forward to seeing more CPKC content this year, including seeing changes to the roster as more locomotives are painted into CPKC colors - I think the train you caught with the CPKC ET44 leader gives a good hint as to how more trains will look going forwards for the next few years.
As a relatively new subscriber, I wanted to mention I enjoy your narration, so we know what we are seeing. Some 20+ years ago my daughter was stationed at Barksdale so it is interesting to see some of the action in the area. Thanks for catching the new paint for us. As others mentioned, it will be sad to see the old paint go, but I'm excited to see how the new system grows. I worked for over thirty years in SE Iowa where the single mainline links the Northern CP system to the southern KCS system. From Milwaukee Road, to Soo Line, to Rail Link, to ICE/DME, to CP, the line has seen a lot of changes over the years. Thanks for your time and effort to bring us such great action.
I’m glad you enjoy the narration. Those B52’s take the skies over Shreveport/Bossier City quite often. That first shot in Bossier City was actually right by Barksdale. I really appreciate you watching sir!
Great video! That’s an awesome start to the new year. Hopefully I catch these new CPKC units coming through Houston soon. Traffic has definitely increased on the KCS here since the merger. I look forward to seeing more great stuff from you
Im a former CC IC conductor and railnet ...now i own a trucking company....been hauling alot of locomotive parts from Minnesota or Kansas to Shreveport
First video of 2025! Just some late December action on the Shreveport Terminal. Hope y’all enjoy!
My grandfather retired from KCS in late 60s as Electrician, 39 years.
He started at the Roundhouse in West End.😊
Awesome video man! And thanks again for the heads up on KCS 4859 that day!
I will surely miss the Kansas City Southern paint schemes once they're gone! Nice video by the way!
The Belle scheme is gonna be around a long while thankfully. CP wasn’t ever the fastest at repainting power haha!
@@LouisianaRailProductions That's great to know!!
@@LouisianaRailProductions Considering the last Milwaukee road unit was retired and few still retaining SOO LINE paint.
15:31 The rebuilt SD45 is the real hidden treasure of this video
North Mansfield? Nice chase 😮 and Bostwick too! Now I know I'm home sick for warmer temps!
Its interesting how you know the train symbols. I finally figured out which one is the I180 that passes my house. You have a wealth of knowledge.
a radio scanner helps a lot, otherwise it's all about knowing when and where certain trains run, what the power is, what kind of cars they haul, etc.
Nice Red Wasp that what I call CPKC locos now
That’s actually not too bad!
Bring on the awesome trains in Shreveport and have a great very nice new year everyone.🚂🚃🚃🇺🇲
Nice catches Bishop! That T4 in the CPKC paint scheme is sharp!

This location is not far from one of the north gates at Barksdale, my first base.
Another fantastic video and enjoyed watching. Have a wonderful rest of your weekend and Happy New Year.(Steve)
You as well Steve!
@@LouisianaRailProductions Thank you.

Another stellar video. Very much appreciated. Keep them coming and Happy New Year to you and yours. Take care & stay safe.
Thanks for watching as always sir!
I think people are gonna hate me for this but i love the CPKC and its paint scheme
We’re fans of the paint scheme as well plus CPKC has been very good to us. They have a lot of great people behind the scenes.
Same here
Beautiful. The new tier 4s were supposed to go to an ore mining outfit but the project was cancelled, hence, CPKC got a deal.
Great video Bishop!

Can't Wait To See The 6 Axle EMDs Painted In The New CPKC Paint Scheme
I think the SD70’s will wear the new scheme quite well.
The first leader is KCS 4859
That's what he said at 0:52.
So, while at "Alex Junction", did you go for lunch at Ralph and Kakoo's?
Great video
