Toad was my favorite bad guy mutant in this movie. Too bad he wasn't around in X2 or X-Men: The Last Stand (in Toad's absence, Pyro was my favorite bad guy mutant in those 2 movies).
This reminds me of that fun little factoid where it's not the electricity that sends you flying, it's actually your muscles lol also, i'd like to think that this did not kill him... I mean in the comics, Logan straight-up cut off his tongue and he recovered from that, so yeah...
Toad complains upon failing to kill Storm, "Don't you people ever die?" This is an allusion to the X-Men comics recurring gimmick, of having a character die, and then be brought back to life by supernatural or scientific means, which has been done for nearly every main character in the series.
This Version of Toad turned him from the typical lackey to a proper Mutant Terrorist. I was VERY disappointed he was not brought back in X-2 Along with Sabertooth. There was NO reason either of them should have permanlty died from their injuries given their mutant status. Toads body in theory could hande an electric shock via Lighting bolt and being hurled into the NYC harbor... I'm NOT saying he wouldn't be seriously injured, but he SHOULD be able to survive.
