This vid. could be seen as you 'casing the joint' as they say....walking around the perimeter fences of a military establishment filming 'The Layout/Military vehicles and their locations within. is asking for trouble....You have filmed Military personel/shown their identities/number plates of personel entering the barracks.. Think for one moment ..They don't know you, you could be carrying an explosive device or planting them or filming this place for nefarious purposes..or for another organisation' that could well see this video...I'm amazed to be honest that you don't get it, yet you got annoyed that YOUR number plate was filmed.!..seriously , can you blame them?...It was you acting suspiciously not them ! ..Maybe read...(official secrets act/national security).

    So in the Abbeywood video you said that painted double yellow lines ment it's council so you can be there. Well in that vid at 18:50 and in this one at all the road gates. You can clearly see yellow lines pass the gate line on both sites.
    So can you explain how this can be possible please?

    • @EvenBigger-Brother
      @EvenBigger-Brother ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lawfully Yellow lines can be painted on any private road but they can not be enforced by the authorities even if its publicly accessible and adopted roads still can still show markings . The best way to insure its a public rd maintained by the council is to look for tags on lampposts and the little signs that indicates waiting times etc that accompanies the double yellow lines.

    • @IRG-dv3pb
      @IRG-dv3pb ปีที่แล้ว

      @@EvenBigger-Brother the point I'm making is that he saying the roadway is public highway because of the lines. So if that was the case they can't be behind the gates. Or as you and I are saying it doesn't mean a roadway is public highway because of their presence.
      The difference here is that if it's mod roadway then it's crown land and so can be inforced by the ministry defence or military police and would still be an offence. Why the crossings had zig zags and yellow dome lights and proper highway signage. Because it's an offence so need to have legal markings and signage.

    • @EvenBigger-Brother
      @EvenBigger-Brother ปีที่แล้ว

      @@IRG-dv3pb If its crown land then we as subjects have access . there are footpaths across military firing ranges and ministry of defence land and highway marking are only apply to vehicles not pedestrians .

    • @IRG-dv3pb
      @IRG-dv3pb ปีที่แล้ว

      @@EvenBigger-Brother not true as you can't just walk into any of the royal residents for example which is crown land. Just means the land is owned by the crown. There maybe rights of way across parts of land just as you get with farmers. Or there's public easement when the land and path/road is still privet owned but passage granted for access to a public area. However it's not a right of way or right of entry so access can be stopped if needed. But not as a permanent measure.
      Was just saying because it's crown property it's still an offence to go against any markings or signage weather on roads or pathways because it's still enforceable by whatever police service I'd attached to the sites.

    • @IRG-dv3pb
      @IRG-dv3pb ปีที่แล้ว

      Anyway went off track (no pun intended) here. As the point I was asking the creator of the video and the point you backed up. Is that the statement of road/pathway markings or signage being present doesn't denote that it's a public highway or pathway. Because of their presence in a gated and fenced off area.

    I'm not going to downvote because I started watching your vids filming migrant hotels with their imported security and what you are doing with those is commendable, and I see that you are focussed more on those now and hope that you make more.
    But I served in HM Forces 1988-93 and back then we would have got very nervous at anyone filming any of our camps, as there were a hell of a lot of attacks on us by the IRA, on and off camp.
    A few that come to mind from the time I was in were the Deal bombing killing Royal Marine trainee bandsmen (bandsmen don't do Commando courses like the rest of the Marines, they're just attached as medics), while I was up the road in Ashford; two trainee infantrymen shot, one killed, on the platform of Lichfield station on a Friday evening while I was travelling home for the weekend from Catterick; two Royal Signals Corporals killed after driving near a funeral cortege in Belfast (I was Royal Signals); Tern Hill attempted bombing; two Australian tourists shot dead in Roermond, Netherlands, after their car was followed from Germany where they were mistakenly identified as off duty soldiers; Heidi Hazell a German civilian shot dead because she was married to a British soldier; the 18 month old daughter of a RAF airman shot dead in Wildenrath.
    Those are a few I remember but there were more.
    So I totally respect any service personnel not taking kindly to being filmed, or having their establishments filmed. Although times have changed.

      It's a garrison town and in garrison towns Military Police actually do have jurisdiction off base, although not over civilians. Same as in Catterick Garrison.

    • @simonh6371
      @simonh6371 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @ubiquitousubiquitous3843 Yes that's true actually, I worded it wrongly. I remember seeing MPs in Darlington train station, miles away from Catterick garrison. What I mean is they don't normally patrol through the streets of Birmingham or Manchester, but do so in garrison towns like Colchester, Aldershot, Catterick etc.

    • @simonh6371
      @simonh6371 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @ubiquitousubiquitous3843 I'm just not sure as to whether they have jurisdiction over civilians inside garrison towns. They do ''on military property'' but I don't know whether that just means in barracks and in NAAFI shops or other establishments for service personnel and dependents, like the NAAFI supermarket I remember in Catterick which was not inside barracks, or does it mean for the entire extent of the garrison?
      Interestingly in BAOR/BFG (British Forces Germany), NAAFI personnel, civilian dog handlers, and other civilians working for the military even including WRVS I think, were subject to British Military Law. I somehow doubt that this applied to German civilians who were employed on camp for maintenance or in the cookhouse though.

      The military personnel are on Ministry of Defence land. How else do you think that UK military forces on armed guard duty go about their duty? Before going on such armed guard duties they are fully trained with calibrated weapons to the individual. They also are issued rules of engagement cards and have full legal authorisation if they have to open fire as part of their armed duty.
