  • Dr. Rowe shows how to fix elbow popping, clicking, and snapping sounds AT HOME.
This video will be broken up into an EASY, effective step-by-step guide that's going to target the main causes of pop and crack sounds in (and around) the elbow.
We're going to tackle a huge culprit of a popping elbow sounds, which is muscle tightness and irritation to the muscle tendons. We'll do this with a simple and effective self massage that may help loosen everything up and get the arm and elbow moving more smoothly.
Also, we'll focus on a big instigator of elbow popping and clicks: lack of joint mobility. Easy traction (pulling) stretching exercises are shown that will help improve movement, and help with issues such as tendonitis, osteoarthritis, and crepitus.
As a BONUS, we'll focus on fixing imbalances and weakness (which may lead to pops and cracks) in the the muscles of the arm with strengthening exercises.
WATCH now and get rid of elbow popping sounds for good!

Suggestion for a basic workout routine for our 70+ year old parents, that they would actually follow? My mother is seeing a PT for her neck (unfortunately she plays on the phone for extended periods all day, and has limited physical activity), and I hear that she isn't even doing the simple stretches and exercises at home that are recommended. She also has that bent over look. Maybe if I could get both my parents to do a simple exercise routine.

    1 soft tissue work
4:00 pull (2) hand towards you with palm facing outwards and twist elbow inward 5 reps of pulses, then outwards 5 reps pulses
3 6:45 fill sock with 2 tennis balls or use foam roller, roll tricep out back and fourth while bending elbow( if it causes clicking slowly build into it with slower reps and slower elbow movement intil you can go back to the same speed without clicks) 2nd variation of 3 do circles with elbow while moving up and down if doing elbow circles correctly wrist should twist
7:35 use double tennis ball sock to swirl and grove around forearm
8:00 use tennis sock to move around joint groves on inside and outside of elbow, it will loosen up the tissue right around the joint best
    Find grove and loosen up
    8:28
Massage palm side of forearm with sock while bending wrist near elbow to loosen forearm better, twist up and down, inside and out
If elbow clicks while twisting wrist inside, message outside of elbow with sock again
    9:35
Elbow self popping band exercise, lean back with elbow straight only go to comfort zone hold for 30 seconds, go up to 5 reps,
10:42 turn wrist right and left to activate muscles that start clicking
    11:55
    Pronations and supinations with hammer
Only go to comfort zone, 10 repetitions, after 10 reps do 10 more upsidown supinations and pronations
    13:30 outward with hammer

THIS IS THE FIRST MENTION OF THE HAMMER!!! This has COMPLETELY revolutionized my life! Not only was it the funnest day on your channel, when I first learned it, but it was also the beginning of challenging and strengthening the soft tissues in the arm. There are even more motions contained here! (I'll be re-watching.) That is why I am "wringing out" your channel, getting the absolute most out of it that I possibly can. I will never know everything that you know, but I endeavor to learn everything that you have featured on your channel.
If you had told me two months ago that I would be exercising with a hammer (or tennis ball, pillowcase, towel, chair, wall, doorway, etc.), I would have been incredulous.
Once I began to experience the results from the hammer exercises, along with the relief and benefits of the other stretches, that is when I knew that I had found a good thing in you. It's not an exaggeration to say that you have changed my life...for the better!

Dr. Rowe, quick question. First off i love your spoon technique and it does work. I do use a massage gun to get deep into my left inside elbow and it does get rid of the clicking noise for a bit before it comes right back... my question is, most of my left elbow clicking is coming in a "curl" formation and not in full extension. Will all these exercises work with my issue of clicking or should i do a different technique? thanks for all the hard work you do.

I like the spoon idea. Saved me some money and avoid buying the official metal scrapers. I'm going to incorporate a few of these things into my established exercise/stretch regiment, paired with my peptide cycle.
Oh, the tennis balls in the sock seem good too. 4:30 I just did this and I can feel my golfer's elbow inflammation subsiding already after the first inner stretch. 🙏
I've been dealing with this tendonitis since 8/2020 and quit my job a month and a half ago to relax and try to focus on recovering from this. I feel like I'm nearly at the finish line of this.
Update 8/2023-Still having problems and referring to this for help. Didn't do as much stretching and exercise as I hoped to do while taking 5 months off. Disappointed with myself, because my arm is already killing me being back at a desk job. So frustrating.

Hey I realized I lean on my left elbow a lot and started to have cubital tunnel discomfort with numbness in my pinky and ring fingers. It’s gotten better and I’m working on letting it heal but I also have a popping in that elbow doing bicep curls, will these exercises help that? Is it just my nerve that’s inflmammed or do you think the elbow tendon too? I’m a 20 yo male and don’t have money for any legit physical therapy but I hope with the right techniques I can get it healed

I broke my arm like seven years ago and everything was fine. ( My elbow was broken ) I had a surgery i felt my arm with the nerves, and it was perfect! A month ago I fell off my bike right onto the arm... and wear a gypsum for 3 days cause i had restrained movement... We feared it was tendon broke but no it was just muscle pain that caused it. Now whenever I move my arm in a 90 degree from up to straighten it it pops... or sometimes it fells like multiple simultaneously pops... Do you think I should keep in mind anything else, besides this exercises!?!

Its not tennis elbow or golfers, it's at the back side of the elbow (opposite to the elbow pit)
I really want to get it fixed but don't know what it is
I believe it happened during heavy tricep pushdowns
    Looking forward to your reply
