I hurt my elbow tendon by over doing standing bicep curls while working out. I was lifting a weight I had used many times before. I'm trying to work around the injury without stopping weight training.
Im in the same boat as you....was doing reverse bicep curls but I think I didnt warm up enough. Ive tried acupuncture, cryotherapy, red light panel therapy and I just started going to a chiropractor who hit my arm with some powerful electrical shock like a tens machine...I think its getting better, but looks like it takes time so we gotta be patient.
@@MarvelousMaterial I trained around it. I stopped heavy standing bicep curls and replaced that with concentrated curls seated resting my elbow on my knee. I added hammer curls till failure. You don't strain your tendon with hammer curls since you lift the weight straight up your body without turning your wrist up. It's very effective for developing the front deltoid as well. Good luck with your rehab. Sounds like your injury is more severe than mine.
@@artisaprimus6306 Agree that hammer type curls avoid or lower the risk but they are not an exercise for anterior deltoid if done correctly. Another strategy is to use a pulley machine with a rope attached: this allows the elbow to track more naturally.
Try hammer curls using a rope attached to a pulley machine set low. This will eliminate the supination of the wrist which stresses the elbow tendon a lot. Also the forearm braces work really well. I used to suffer a lot with my elbow tendons at 63 after 50 years weight training but now rarely a problem.
I am taking type 2 collagen+glucoseamine pills for a month now. I did get prp injection last week and im waiting for my appointment at the physiotherapy clinic. I hope it will get better.
Yo, you see a pattern here? Read the comments - EVERYONE who pushes through it... is getting worse. One guy ignored the issue for years, and now finally admits he should've just taken a month off of the training to let it heal (which he did, the 2nd time he got it). I developed golfer's elbow last week and I do NOT want to stop the gains... but, moreover, I don't want to end up like all of you months/years down the line... so... I guess I have to stop doing exercises that require gripping? Push only exercises with an open hand? XD one last chance then I'll have to actually stop, like you should.
If you feel numbness in your fingers or pain it can be due to stiffness in muscle along the arm or even on the back, at least thats what my friends expirienced, I advice looking this up with physiotherapist.
I worked for 3 days with a small lump hammer breaking up concrete because I didn’t want to pay for a sledgehammer. I developed both conditions in both arms. 3 years later my right arm is 95% healed with just occasional issues but my left arm is still in pain after even the slightest exertions. My wife has to open jars and carry heavy objects as I have lost strength and suffer pain. Hopefully this year will see the end of it.
im unable to fully stretch my arm outdoor several days without pain usually after going to the gym, which one is that, the pains is on the inner part of my elbow?
Suffering from this after my weekly game of golf last week. Noticed discomfort in my elbow and the next day grip strength was woeful. No time at the range this week and is feeling better now. Wish me luck in my game tomorrow. If it returns It’s ok, as I won’t able to play the following couple of weeks anyway so will get plenty of rest.

@@KLK01 Unfortunately you're in a really bad spot in which nobody should be, not being able to afford basic human needs like medical care. Still, if it hurts after an entire year, it likely will never stop hurting. I broke my knuckle 2 years ago and never went to the doctor, it hurt for months, maybe half a year, but interestingly it kinda got much better after I started working out and hitting a car tire (didnt have a puching bag) that I tied to a tree. Anyways, I still feel pain when I put pressure on it, 2 years after.
I did extension pull-up which caused my left elbow inside to pain after 2 reps. I have been working out for over 20 years. Now I am at about 2.5 months without serious training and still my inside elbow is hurting. It sucks!
5 months back into the gym i was doing close seated rows yesterday after other back exercises, 2 warm up sets then 3 working sets which finished fine apart from feeling it in my forearms even after trying the no thumb technique. Went to do biceps and i felt like my left arm had hardly any strength. at this point i cant feel any pain and then i notice above my elbow like below my bicep i had some swelling, Dropped way down to 6kg to just see how it felt and i had no pain just lack of strength, I can straighten my arm no problem today im just worried about what ive done exactly? Any help is appreciated!

I hurt my elbow doing push ups. Now I avoid doing push up. The video says it can take up to 3 yrs-might be true bc it is taking a while to heal.
No way I can’t stop training for 3 years bro I literally just started 😢

Strengthen it slowly. Start with very light weights and get the blood flowing. 100% reccomend u physical therapy

Look into peptide bp157 injections
