Worked for a large multi-national. One day, our Director told us all we would be packing food at her local food bank charity. Oh really? Come to find out she was up for another seat on the Board and this would help get it for her if she could bring her entire group. Sooooooo..... Local, AND Corporate, HR got the complaint as well as the Ethics Tipline. Management was no help "why can't you just go along with it..". FFS you spineless worms. At least I was not retaliated against during the remainder of the time (months) I remained. But even the employees were resentful towards me for standing up to this abuse ..I think,...because it made them uncomfortable that they had gone along with it. People never learn.
That's somewhat typical, I find. People that don't stand up for themselves, for whatever reason, like to accuse those that stand up for themselves of "making waves" or not being a team player. It's garbage. I feel like it's one of the main reasons positive changes rarely happen, even when miserable folks have a tendency to go along to get along more than fighting the good fight 😒Glad you didn't cave.
What gets me is that they don’t even have the decency to ask. They just automatically put her down to volunteer. It’s a VOLUNTARY event, not MANDATORY.
My company would always try to hold “employee appreciation” BBQ’s starting at 8:00am. I worked graveyard and never wanted to go. They would even hold checks over at the office to make us attend. I would always just walk in grab my check and leave. Why should I go along and pretend they care about me one day a year when they treated us like garbage the other 364. 😂
Let’s be honest the summer in Florida part of it is completely understandable the only acceptable outdoor activity for summer in Florida involves water either the ocean or a pool and shade
Will the company be covering her medical expenses and still pay her wages, if she got an injury whilst taking part in their activities. I think not somehow
"149,00 degrees!" Every time I hear "Hey, Veronica," in these cartoons, my blood pressure goes up because I am so no good at what she does. VERONICA FOR PRESIDENT!
Me when any even at work shows up: doesn't go to the party because 1. Not wanting to bring the mood down and 2. All my stuff I want is at home so I don't need to be at any event
I set a rule for myself when it comes to company events. If I've just joined the company, I'll only show up once or twice to familiarize myself with immediate coworkers as a courtesy. After that, I ain't showing up.
My dad will sometimes host dinner at his house or at a park for all the engineers under him. He also sets up basketball games at lunch or tennis games on the weekends. I guess his group of engineers just have a different culture because they all love his get togethers. I used to go into work with him as a kid and hang out around the office all day. Everyone was super chill.
I lived in Miami for at least 17 years. There are no seasons. Only hot, hotter, heat stroke. I could never understand company picnics. Let’s do bowling or some other indoor air conditioned activity. Please. I hate Florida!

They probably thought they could get a promotion if they played along and went with it.
Rock on man.

It’s a cartoon

A Company kick ball? A company picnic. I can understand.
Picnic in the bs heat nah hard pass
This is me whenever there's a work related activity. The only time I want to deal with you people is when I'm getting paid for it.
In Florida, what's stifling is not so much the heat as it is the stupidity
What a line! I’m using it.❤
"Well we just thought-"
And there was your first mistake.
3rd: Don’t sign me up for Anything without my permission!
If corporate wants your life, they will take your life. They'll just "pay the fine later" 🙃

You would think Veronica's workplace would know better than to ask her for anything.
They always make that guilty face the manager in these animations
She described Florida summer ( April till Nov) perfectly. I long for Temps in the 70's, Fall and 60's- winter.

Oh c'mon. The issue of being outside in Florida isn't the temperature, it's that the disgustingly moist, wet HUMIDITY is roughly 10,000%.
The tried to Voluntold her to be there and She told hell naw in professional way 😎😎😎
So they just assume that V could play.😂
when it's 149,000 degrees outside🤣
This cartoon sure gets redistributed by lots of posters, even the audio appropriated and repackaged in a new cartoon.
Company, kick ball during Florida summer no thank you.
Yeah, there are individuals who like to impose on other people's time.
Veronica is starting to sound like she’s no fun.
Company drunk contest count me in anytime
Even tho i will always rank 1 from bottom

Why keep uploading the same videos over and over, have you run out of new ideas 😂
Because people like you click on them and comment. They count that as interest.
@@jainthorne4136 haha, that’s very true but I actually love these little skits, I want to see new ones 😀
So disappointing! Who cares!?
