I have nothing but respect for the gentleman
Old timer's like this chap are slipping away with time, we will never see their like again.
Miles here. Yes hard to find the next generation following in any of us elders' footsteps! Ha! I do recall becoming a teen and parents thinking the world was coming to can end and what shall we all do, those crazy Beatles and their long hair! Grbndma sid "Elvis, the world is coming to an end how will we survive?" So I see parents helping to build the diving board our children dive into life off of, yet not understanding when they do dive, they will land in water, not like water we swam in requiring different boat? Different strokes? Unknown we never faced! Trying to be optimistic here. Yes, good luck to the young huh?
This feller here is what I consider a hero. Someone to look up to and mimic his skills and values to make a better world and people! Thank you for sharing this!
If you think so now, read his books! It’ll blow
Your mind the things he has survived
Wtf are you talking about? The guy is living completely in his own world and no one else exists.
@@newname2600
What’s your point? He’s
Not bothering anybody!
Maybe you should take
Lessons
@@thegreeninvasion5511 My point is this, take the guy for who he is; the use of superlatives like “hero” and “someone to look up to” are delusional and just internet sensationalism.
@@newname2600
Maybe you should
Read his books! This
Dude is a bad MF’r! Survived shit that that would kill 95% of us!
Did it while everybody else was talking about it
That man is a survivor. The amount of knowledge his mind must hold is fascinating.
Oz is fascinating! More please.
Another AWESOME episode!!! ❤
OH MY GOODNESS!!! This was like being a kid following my Dad around his old cars and junk. I was embarrassed by it as a kid, sadly. As an adult I appreciate the ways my Dad taught me to rethink "garbage". I saved countless amounts of money by the way I could repurpose and create useful things raising my kids. This man is a treasure. The world has less and less of these treasures. ❤
Oz🦾🙌🙌 Ruthless pure raw humanity!
This man is amazing! Great video guys! I could watch this guy for hours on end!
Yes, You are living good Sir. Modern world is wicked, this man is sane. Respect !
Amazing. Can't wait to see more!
Yep, it's fair to say that every now and then You Tube throws up a video which puts a whole new perspective on things. I don't envy aĺl those superstars and celebs, but this fella I do...in spadefulls.
Nope not trying to be q superstar. Not getting paid even no changes in my life. I'm kind of focused on what I do. Keeps me busy. More like others are recording what I do.
Me too. What an awesome guys.
Well said friend 😊
I think I can could sit with Miles around a fire pit and listen to all his stories for hours.
What an amazing man I could sit and watch him for ages so so interesting. Wow he’s just amazing. I don’t know what else to say fantastic watching for hours thank you so so much for putting this up absolutely love it can’t wait for the next bit❤xxx
I will take as many videos as possible of this guy. So interesting. Boy how ide love to shadow him fur a year or 2
AWESOME Glad he is here again.
What a fascinating and interesting man!
Loved this video. Oz is very resourceful and lives simple. A man without any worries.
A rare person much to be admired.
He is The Man for sure
Watching from Florida with great interest because I have some fossils too which I bought off the internet and at some flea markets. I just subscribed a little while ago and find Miles Martin to be a very extraordinary man.
Hello from Australia 🦘🐍. Cool old man. 😁
Great man, much respect from NT Australia.
Real man
That was awesome
So cool ❤❤
His hand look like gloves man he’s a real outdoors man
Incredible perfectly incredible this guy's amazing
Wow saw a guy with depth of history gold guy Alaska has cool little bungalow with surprises😊😊😊
He is cool
Miles reminds me of my grandma Judy, or what I like to call her Mimi, she taught me not to be afraid of anything that comes your way and that to always speak your mind, and miles is a prime example of her, my Mimi is dead now, she died from Alzheimer’s, but her legacy is still in my soul still till this very day.
What a gentleman !!!!. Truly a pleasure to watch, coming to Nenana Alaska next summer. Seeing the knifes, I'm gonna need one of those!
Very interesting! Thank you ❤
He's a highly motivated and happily busy man. All that work would be too much for me even if I knew how.
What a guy
RESPECT Miles from OZ
What happened to all the bones that were supposedly dumped in the east river
I got a heater buddy that would work real good especially with that propane tank. I wanted to learn how to do that so I appreciate that.😂
Got to wonder what the local people say about this guy???
Miles here. I'm just local, no one special. This excitement to locals is like trying to sell snow to Eskimoes. Most live close enough to how I do it is 'our life,' not just mine. Most do not want the publicity, do not want 'crazy outsiders' coming here and messing with our heaven. Messing in various ways. When I arrived in tghe 70's bets were placed by locals on how many days I'd live. You might enjoy my books beginning with the story of getting here. But a variety of views among the 300 who live here. Someone who needs attention but ok. Some admire me and say so. I was head of our chamber of commerce for years, On the library board. Could be on the city council, even today. Might have been able to be mayor at one point. 300 people, big deal? Yea I know. Big deal to me, we are like family here. Not sure what your reason for the comment is or your point. MIght help me respond to what you are looking for.
Where does this guy get his electricity from?
This gent reminds me of Bill Murray or his brother.
Filling those one pound green propane tanks is illegal.
You can buy fitting to fill small bottles in wisconsin many places. 😅😅.never heard of it being illegal. Many people do it.
@@jeffschmelzer1592
The reason you can find fittings to buy is because, unlike the green bottles, it is legal to fill bottles that are approved for refilling. Just because you never heard of it being illegal and many people do it doesn’t make it legal. 🤪😜
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Illegal? There are exceptions and I am not a lawyer to quote laws or offer advice. Like, on Alaskia Indiana land . Indian law rules not white man. No one is coming to Indian land to tell the people how or not how to fill bottles. I was in a remote village a week ago and checked on the price of buying an approved filled bottle. $15. Someone (not did not say me, just in case someone wants me arrested) can fill their own for 50 cents. You envision tossing out the empties into the garbage and buying all new when needed? You can do that if you think it's best. Oh yes "dispose of properly, these bottles need to go to a special disposal place. for. a fee."

It’s an adapter
Available
At any Walmart! Don’t get one, the ATF might get you!🐑🐑🐑🐑😂😂
I appreciate this guy. However I don't agree with cutting up and destroying fossils that are thousands or millions of years old. Early on in the video he said he was going to cut up artifacts like tools for knife handles. Yeah I can't agree with doing that. It's a piece of history.
When are we gonna start diving on cars, and look for lost family members.
Who is 'we?' I work with Bone Rush. They are looking for topics of interest. Notice how the fossil hunt for 500,000 views? That talks. Less views walks. It costs a lot to do these. I found a sunk boat with maybe q story where someone died in the wilds, I'm in Alaska Bone Rush is in Arizona. It would cost thousands for them to get here. So that is where they and I are at now. Reviewing what to film. Guessing looking for lost family members is not going viral. Not paying the bills (yet, or for now) Wish us luck. Find a good potential story and bet they'd be on it. Your vote is for more sunk cars? Got that! Thanks for input.
But not only that but I’ve got me either an ape hand print fossil, or a dinosaur footprint and one day I’m going to sell it or even keep it in my collections.
