Bonus Tip on the Roman Colosseum. The ticket for the Roman Colosseum also includes the Roman Forum, so just walk 50 yards or so to the Roman Forum ticket office, which never has a line, then walk back to the entrance to the Colosseum show your ticket and walk right in without ever waiting in line. When I backpack I try to buy, make reservations, or learn little hacks to never wait in line. Your time on Vacation is too important to waste it in line.

Also, make reservations and buy your tickets for the Vatican museum ahead of time and never wait in the endless line that wraps around the Vatican City walls. If you're in Paris it's worth buying The Paris Pass for the duration of your stay. The Paris Pass offers admission to the major museums and sites in the city with front of the line access. It also includes unlimited metro rides, Seine river night cruse, and a hop-on / hop-off buss. London has a similar city pass.

Good nx practical advice. I'll add on I found helpful. Europe has a lot of overnight city-to-city trains. Take them and you'll not only save on housing. you'll arrive in your next city the first thing in the morning ready to see the sights. You'll also be able to see more since your travel time won't be during the daytimes.

Take a radio W battery's. If you ever end up in trouble be aggressive or people will mug you. I walked coastline a lot as I hate navigatian. Take a break in a hotel every so often. Use bla bla car.

I've been on the road for 7 years now after leaving the UK with just £50 and a bus ticket to Amsterdam.
I used work-and-stay websites like Workaway or Woofing to find jobs that offer food and accommodation, for around 20 hours work a week, for the first year.
It made my whole travel experience, during and since much easier and more fulfilling.
It almost felt like training wheels for travelling. Especially as I was flying by the seat of my pants, I HAD to find work immediately when I got somewhere new.
If you actually have a budget, this will stretch it ten times further and you'll meet tonnes of other travellers doing the same thing.
I used it for just a year and knew everything I needed to keep going for another 6 years and 5 countries.
All 5 were in the first 3 years, as I got to Spain and loved it. Been here 3 years now. 👍👌

I think only you can best answer that question. Having money come in on a regular basis is always beneficial as it allows you a significant amount of flexibility while you travel. In my case, it allowed me to stay in hotels where I have my privacy and my own bathroom (among other things).
During days when I'm feeling burnt out from all my traveling, work was such a welcome reprieve, believe it or not. For several hours during that day, I feel normal again.

Hey, not sure if you still check comments on this video but I’ll shoot. Do you remember what your budget was for this trip?
