I have a Strat, Tele and two Les Pauls, but that 355 is my favorite out of every guitar I own. I feel the same way about the headstock. So glad they did that. I’m so tempted to throw a Bigsby on it, but I don’t want to mess anything up.
I just bought a lefty PRS SE Zach Meyers 594 and it's being delivered today, so the timing for this is perfect for me. I also have an Epiphone Sheraton II left-handed and an Ibanez AM93 semi-hollow as well.
Bought some cheap ones, Had the 335 when I was 13, I bought a Grote, No, I bought a Pango hollow LP Kit put burst buckers in it. Good. Premier Dangelico Single cut, added burstbuckers, very nice. Bought a Korean Casino for 350$ added Fralin P-90's , very light slim neck and plays really good. Very loud acoustic volume.
What about a Gretsch Streamliner G2622T if you want humbuckers or Gretsch Electromatic G5422T if you want FilterTron pickups? They're both really good guitars
Like some people say Gretsch , but I would definitely mention Duesenberg semi hollowbodies ( mine is a wonderful TV Starplayer: not cheap but amazing guitar ) so you only need one more to make another TRIO ! Go for it!
Not on your list but I had a blonde or natural ES 335. I do miss that one, think I'll probably get another. Gibson is making some pretty good epis. last few years.
You have two guitars that are less than $899 up against an extremely high end RnR Relics that start at several thousand and go up from there? Not sure that’s a fair comparison. 🤔 😂
The epi is all looks, it’s built no different than their $400-$600 model. Minus the headstock, pickups, and working it’s still a meh Chinese barely middle range guitar. Weights on them are also on the heavy side. Korean made guitars around 1K are significantly better, so many great brands gretsch, reverend or dangelico etc surpass the epi in every way. I understand the brand thing with the new headstock but it’s still not a Gibson or near its construction, quality and feel.
So the Ebony fretboard, custom buckers, grover tuners, graph tech nut, Switchcraft jack, cts pots and mallory capacitors.....thats all looks right? LOL get outta here with your terrible take man. I own multiple Gibson Custom Shop guitars, and yes...they're better, but to act like this Epiphone is "all looks" is ridiculous. I own one of these EPI 355's too and I absolutely love it. The Gibson version of this ($6999) is not $5700 better than the Epiphone version ($1299).
Actually none, you just come think about, they're the first electric guitar incarnation, the solid model was a step forward, they're feedback stravaganza, they sound muffled (the sounds only a jazz player who clearly knows about music more than me and you can use in something, just don't ask him to play it twice), they're a pain in the ass to maintain/repair, they're more likely to be broken. Plus, as an ornament they're very expensive, just buy a chinese imitation, I mean a vessel.

The newly released PRS SE Custom 24 Semi HB Piezo is amazing. I just got mine and will be gigging it on 2 shows today.

I’m surprised you didn’t mention Gretsch semi hollow. I have the G2622 and love the sound, weight, and playability
I agree! I have two different G2655Ts (one with filtertrons, one with staple P90s) and they are by far my favorite electric guitars.
@@hyrumjensen4712Wow I didn't know there were Streamliners with Filtertrons

Agreed…I have that Gretsch but without the humbucker. The G2622, got it last year and I love the sound, playability and the weight
Love Love my new ES - 355 ❤ Just new 10's adjust truss and raise tail bar for easy bending and 💫
I’m playing mine at a gig tonight. Love it.
@@csharp57 Yes Sir the crowd will love !

Wiring and switches jacks pots, the difference of those things are far more dramatic than you might imagine until you buy and install such parts!
what is that "thing" sticking out from under the pickguard on the 355 ?
No Gretch?
I am going to correct my own spelling, "No Gretsch?"
@@38AchillesI know, right? My thoughts exactly
I'm fairly certain the ZM PRS has a 24.5" scale. NOT, the same as the McCarty. Sure it's only c hairs difference. Still not the same though.

I have a Inspired by Gibson cherry 335 and I love it! I may change the pickups at some point but it is a great guitar!
Hell no . Those are the best pickups you can buy !
@@rareform6747 It has the Alnico Classic PRO pickups and there is some frequency in them that I dont like
@@ToddTheJoker I open those up . Mine said Gibson Custom Buckers . I collect Les Pauls . Real Deal ?
That is the thing I love the most about mine?? But to each their own. I own a Gibson LP classic with the 500T. People hate those pickups. I love them.
@@csharp57 those 500Ts are really hot pickups eh? but yeah the Alnico Classic Pros are too modern sounding,,I want a PAF style pickup in a 335
Why are custombuckers better than the T type Gibson puts on their non-355 ES guitars?

Yeah pretty silly
I want a thinline like a Byrdland, not a ES series I want a true hollow body thinline.
Check out the ES 275
FYI two thunderbolts usually is a reference to 1940s Germany 😬
In response to the videos caption - my vote on most versatile is a Tele (of course not a hollowbody)

Sorry what a hopelessly commercial act... 😢
