    Had a problem with the 2nd row. Only two chains were left, and not three. Changed the foundation chain to 6+2, and got three at the end of the 2nd row.

    I had to ch20 for my foundation chain because i only had 2 stitches at the end of round 2 not 3 like her but chaining 20 instead of 19 works

    I am a total beginner to crochet, I have done a double crochet (UK) infinity scarf and then jumped into this project, you were very easy to follow, very clear and thank you for showing so clearly how to finish the end of the scarf, how lovely! I did make a few mistakes when I wasn't concentrating and I would say three times I had to pull up 3 rows when I realised I had gone wrong but I really found this video useful. Thank you

    On my first shells, I can't skip two to make the single crochet at the end. I can only skip one.

      6+1=7 so there would be 7 chains you work off of. 12+2=14. Use this to help you.

    Hi have you used this yarn color with a long foundation so that the colors appear with a stripe look?

    it would be nice if you would tell the colorway of the mandala yarn you are using. It is a yarn that is in much demand these days, and I know I have a lot of it. Would like to know the color you are using so I can use the same one, if I have it. Thank you.

    I'd like to make this as a pocket shawl, any idea how many chains I'd need? Any help is appreciated.

      I’m not exactly sure. I would say until your chain is at the width you’d like and is a multiple of 5+1.

    I do disagree that all you really need to focus on is the top of the shells, it is essential to focus on the turns and alternating. I am not new to crochet or the shell stitch but needed a refresher course. Haven't done a shell in a long time. I would not recommend this for a real beginner. Might in the next video focus on the turns more. Other than that this is a great refresher.

    • @aceisbae
      @aceisbae 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because for a beginner the top of a shell stitch IS the most important getting that "shell" shape. The tutorial is for just that, "shell stitch" for beginners. Twist and turns "AND" shell stitch would mean you're looking to advance your skills. 😒

    Nice scarf, but the pattern is multiple of 6 plus 2. just do the math.

    • @sharonvia2957
      @sharonvia2957 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did 6 + 1 and it worked perfectly. I wanted it wider so I chained 25 to begin. Maybe you are missing the very last chain at end of the row. It is difficult to see unless you look at the back side.
