This is my third scarf with this pattern! Absolutely love it! Have been meaning to ask about the first double crochet, is there any reasons why you pop in 2 SC on top of each other instead of directly SC? This pattern is so great for me as I like to do project while watching my drama, and also great for practicing tension! Thanks much!!!!🎉
Robin, this is a beautiful scarf! But then everything on your channel is gorgeous. I do have one question about the single double stacked stitch. You say this is to take the place of a double crochet. So why not just do a double crochet, then? Why does the single double stack do better than a double crochet?
You brought me back to crochet after nearly half a century! I love your tutorials so much. In the last three months I have already finished several scarves, three beanies and a throw. I am currently working on four projects, now this scarf is my fifth. Such a pretty pattern!
I have never crochet before and at the age of 67, thinking to start. Got the things i needed and browsing through for the easy crochet and came to find you dear. The wat you explained and by just watchinf you i feel i can do it. You are a great teacher. ❤
I am making this for my mom as a gift and she loves scarfs her closet has around 17 scarves And I am 11 years old and she finds it really interesting that I love doing crochet at this age and because you can make a ton of cute stuff with crochet.
As I don’t do scarfs, nobody I know wears them I can imagine this stitch for a TV throw. I love the beginning of the rows after you do your first turning, so gorgeous and neat. Lovely project, thanks Robin 🌷🧶🌷 Maria
I love this scarf and the way you explain. Your language and your voice it’s a very pleasant music to my ears so I need to start work right now so I can finish my Christmas gift to one I care for. Thank you so much 😊
I just got some beautiful skeins of yarn to make a scarf and beanie and this beautiful pattern popped up. Very excited to make this with Robin’s easy to follow instructions🥰
Thank you! You solved 2 xmas presents for me! ❤ Just for a giggle: I just Googled, Ball of Lion, to find the wool you use. I got lots of anatomical pictures of a certain feature of very large cats 😂 I've found that here in Australia, it's called Lion Brand, but thanks for the laugh.😂
It is called Lion Brand. And on the sidenote, we looked up bears on the Internet when we lived in Alaska and crazy stuff came up on that too! Typing matters when you’re doing a search, lol I used to make this specific stitch with sz 10 thread for a lighter scarf.
Lovely, explaining so explicitly. Thanks Robin, it’s a keeper pattern for a few afghans I have planned. 🧶 The pattern is more 1/2 diamonds than the usual shells in my pattern.
I'm definitely going to make this scarf but I think I'm going to place stitch markers in the chains where the single crochets and shells go before I start the pattern so I don't have to worry about losing stitches. 🤔😀 Thank you, Robin, for sharing your wonderful talent!!!
I found ONE skein of Lion Brand Landscapes yarn at a resale shop. Then I found this pattern. I used a 7mm hook and instead of doing 4 DC's-Ch2-4DC's for the shells, I did 3DC's-2CH-3DC's, I also did only three ROWS of shells so my scarf was about 5" wide. This way I was able to get a nice neck cowl out of ONE skein and it still looked great.Thank you for this wonderfully easy pattern!
I love this channel. Robin is a great teacher. I love the finished work. So beautiful. I don't always have time to watch but I've been buying the patterns so I can work on them anywhere I am. Merry Christmas everyone! Can't wait to see what Robin brings in the new year!
Thank you so much for this simple but so beautiful pattern! I just go a lastminute request for scarf with shells in a purple colorway, and this is perfect! I greatly appreciate all you do! Merry Christmas and a very healthy, happy, and prosperous New year to you and your family!
Thank you so much Robin, I really really enjoyed watching you create this beautiful and lovely scarf. It’s very very nice, and would suit anyone young or old. I’m definitely going to try this out. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags ❤❤❤❤❤
I saw this on tiktok In little pieces then found your channel and now im learning new things im not new to crochet but still in learning process thank you for this simple tutorial🖤
I sat in bed with my earphones in and watched this last night, but fell asleep 😴 the next day I thought I must watch the end of the video so I know how to make this. When I started watching again, I thought what on earth have I missed as I didn’t get why the end of the yarn was not at the end 😂 I had to watch it all again to figure out why 🥰
Love this tutorial l, the stacked stitch really gives a neat edge. You always use such lovely coloured yarn. Thank you, I think I might adapt this tutorial into a blanket x
Hi Robin: Gorgeous scarf! This pattern is really stunning! Your instructions are always so easy to follow. Can’t wait to get a hold of this yarn and start mine. Thank you so much! 💜😎🇺🇸

@@HookedbyRobin I'm also going to do this one as I have had some chunky yarn for awhile now and no idea what I was gonna do with it.
This is my third scarf with this pattern! Absolutely love it! Have been meaning to ask about the first double crochet, is there any reasons why you pop in 2 SC on top of each other instead of directly SC?

Any secrets to manipulating the yarn to keep the same color across each row? Looks like you changed colors it's perfect. Did you use a Mandala?
This make great shawl, tablecloth
Just when i was browsing through the old videos for a simple one row repeat, the goddess uploads 🥰

Beautiful pattern and excellent instructions. Why not use a double crochet instead of a stacked stitch at the beginning of the row?
the stacked are a cleaner/ neater edge
I ordered yarn for a sweater and ended up with several leftover skeins. I'll be using that yarn to make this scarf. (Love the stitch pattern on this one.)😊
