Just a simple advice when you eat barbeque in stick is a DON'T do shove the tip of the stick in your mouth because in that place that is very busy and some people are running or in a hurry they might bump or hit your arm accidentally and the tip of the bbq stick will stab your throat man...

Hahahaha if you will eat the balut, eat the normal one, not the grilled one, its overhyped not really that good, buy balut 16 days old, then crack open the tip of the egg, then put a little bit of salt and vinegar, then sip the balut juice, it taste like chicken soup, then slowly peel the egg shell, put some vinegar you can see now the duck embryo, you can eat it or not depends, but the yellow part is yummy, just like a fried egg yolk, dont eat the white part, its very hard. We usually just throw it away. BTW nice content bro. Honest to good

Marco, my exact reaction when I first tried Balit back in 2016. But word of advice Mate, if you ever have to try it again, make sure you have two red horse and two San Miguel beers on standby, it'll help a little 😅😅
Balut or Duck embryo isn't indeed something I devour. I am thankful to have been a pescatarian for the past 11 years. Sorry to all my fellow Pinoys, but eating balut isn't for me either. I find it to be horrible and yucky.
I don't enjoy balut either but I will eat it if I really have to. Tips: 1) you will need salt to enjoy it 2) ask the vendor to give you an early / young egg so the bones, beak and feathers are not formed yet. This way you can just eat it like it's a hard boiled egg with more meat in it.
Sometime some seasonings or spices go with the street foods to appreciate the foods. For example the balot goes with salt, the grill stuffs go with vinegar mixed with peppers etc, anyway, experience is price less 😊
Always end yer questions with. "Po" ( Eg: "How much is this Po?", Where do i find this place Po?" ) as this is not a term of endearment but of respect in that you are acknowledging and respecting the person whom you are speaking to especially if they are older or an elder. This is the one of the best ways to embrace the culture in itself. :) If you want another, instead of saying 'Yes" say "Opo" which also correlates to acknowledgement and a respectful response. :)
