@@iversonivler4158 yea there is. There's an old dude that sells it outside of the filipino store on weekends. But he can't go around yelling. He just basically sits there and wait with the word Balut on thr box. You can't go around selling food without a permit and balut would be an acquired taste here.

Me too it's my favorite snack and actually for some locals here in my country the philippines they consider it as an appitizer or approdisiac. It's actually very tasteful, more savory and a winner if you put in salt and spicy vinegar on it. And you can actually choose 16 days, my favorite is the 18 days and not so much or less than the 21 days old balut. Sometimes i'm craving it together with the vinegar.

Mr. Xiao, for firstimers ,do not eat balut in a daybroadlight or with light on, eat it in a darkened place so that u will not vomit upon seeing the unfertized egg or the embryro ( not sure of the spelling). After a small hole at the top, put small salt and vinegar inside and sip the liquid and then crack the egg shell until small portion of shell is left at the bottom and then put the whole egg meat to your mouth with little salt and vinegar and drink at once softdrinks or beer. This will give u energy and built strong knees, thats the favorate exotic food here in the philippines for honeymooners. Eat 4 pcs of balut you can last for several rounds.
