Though I’m not married and don’t have kids, I can relate as far as skincare goes. I’m 42 with combination, hormonal acne prone skin. I definitely believe that skincare=self care. I follow an 8-10 step routine, morning and night. Most of my skincare products are Korean too.
FINALLY! Skincare for us gals over 40! (Well I’ll be 53 next month sooooo lol). I wanted to see if I’m doing my daytime cleaning correctly. Here it is! Centella Oil Cleanser Foam cleanser (used to use dear, Klairs. I want to find one that is anti aging) I’m From Rice toner with cotton pad Essence (may try the I’m From Mugwort…if you have suggestions let me know) Serum (I need to get the Vitamin C one from dear, Klairs…or another one) Moisturizer I don’t use sunscreen because I am mostly inside. So that is pretty much it! I just purchased some of the APLB items so I’m using those lol! And new sub!
You're doing great! I still recommend an spf from uv rays still coming through the windows. What I noticed most as I'm in my 40's+ is just listen to your body and skin. If it needs more hydration, layer on the essence/toner. I also love a good ampoule. Here's some of my favorites for extra glow and hydration: Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner for Deep Hydration, Highly Concentrated Essence Facial Toner TIRTIR Milk Skin Rice Toner | Deep Moisturizing, Hydrating Toner Dr.Jart+ Vital Hydra Solution Hydro Plump Treatment Essence with Hyaluronic Acid Dr.Jart+ Ceramidin Skin Barrier Face Serum Toner with Ceramides
My forehead was starting to get dry, my usual routine wasn't touching it so I've started using carrot seed oil all over and then coconut oil on top of that and I must say it's doing the job, for now.
I've heard that carrot seeds oil is good for skin years before (probably more or less 10 y ago) from a lady, she's Filipino if I'm not mistaken. Does carrots seeds oil absorb quickly?? As for coconut oil, OMG the only oil helps my hormonal acne back in 2014-2015. I didn't get my period for almost 5 months, I gained weight like crazy. My acne was yellow, and huge like a marble outside and some under the skin was huge and red and painful, OMG, unpleasant experience and good things I never really touched it or pop it, so leave no marks, Moroccan Ghassoul clay is my daily face wash and face mask 2-3 times a week and coconut oil to replace serum, moisturizer and my SPF. I didn't use anything other than that. Within 4 months all cleared, like I never suffer from those scary acne before. It was so painful. I did 1 weeks smoothie cleanse + took evening prime rose oil capsules, got my period back right on day 5 of doing that. I stop some stuff that I eat such as - caffeine (😢) - grain, - gluten - Dairy (milk and product from milk) any cooking oil except coconut oil, butter and ghee for cooking - sugar - table salt - any high process food Not for long tho, maybe a month or 2 and I started eating like normal again, can't stay away from rice and noodles too long. Coconut worked well for me when I was in Asia. Tropical countries work best with coconut oil on the skin for my case. I used the same brand here in Canada for my face and it wasn't a good experience for me. I was really surprised that where we live can change our skin conditions as well.
I'm so glad to know others are not washing their face too, if I wash in the morning, I'm too lazy to wash in the evening. So yes, quick way is toner and wipe 🤭 I also layer my toner/ japanese lotion. Then serum (I'm using purito unscented petite with niacinamide and Ceramide serum) and essence ( I use my essence last because the consistency for me is thick enough to replace my moisturizer last is eye serum at night or eye patches in the morning. Sooooooooomeee day I use sunscreen, yea, I'm just too lazy. And that's all. Not doing any face masks for months now. I'm 38 years old, one of my friends (we've known each other for 5 years now and I did introduce myself with all the ladies and told them my age) but, last week she was shocked when I told her how old I am, and she thought I'm 30 y old ( I feel like I'm flying when she said that) I'm too lazy for too many skincare steps, but I do want healthy skin. So I just do simple minimalist that I can keep up + I've been into collagen and antioxidants/ others supplements since 28 y old. Nothing works like magic, I guess it's help. I love Kosé moisture mild white perfect essence, it contains few types of vit C and sensitive skin friendly (I have super sensitive skin). I've been putting my eyes on centella Madagascar and their line since last year. Maybe next time I should try them. Thank you for sharing your routine and I absolutely love it 🌸🫰🏼
@@dianarusnov292 totally agree, in my case let alone makeup, I stopped wearing face powder and no cushion as well since 2009 (didn't do make up for my wedding either 🤭), within 2 weeks sometimes not once I'll use sunscreen, totally bad example for some 🫣. I just lucky didn't use active that make my skin toooo sensitive to the sun. I was born and grew up literally 15 mnt walk by the beach, I barely know anyone having skin prob even if they are already 80+ y old like my grandmas But if I do use sunscreen, then I'll wash (again, if I'm not tired and get lazy) 🦥 🤗🫰🏼
You have beautiful glowing skin. In fact it’s so glowing I can’t tell if you allow each layer to dry before the next or just apply over each wet layer?? Thank you.
Yes, it does! This is an extensive routine. Most mornings I just choose 1 toner/essence (layer this a few times) and 1 serum to target my pigmentation, moisturizer, spf.
Thank you so much Xiomara! I do LOVE Allies of Skin GF Serum. It's currently out of stock until August, but they recommend the moisturizer I'm using and it's 30% off right now!
It really depends on your skin tone and if you are looking for mineral or chemical SPF. One of my all time favorites is this one: go.shopmy.us/p-2140574
Hi! I haven't experienced that for myself. I'm sorry that is happening to you. :( I like using the Shiseido Clear Sunscreen Stick for my kiddos and touch-ups (especially on the eyes) if you are looking for an alternative. Linked here: go.shopmy.us/p-1761498
1. Serum 2. Moisturizer with spf 20 3. Sunscreen spf 50 That takes me 15 minutes just for 3 steps cause i dry with a fan in between each layers. Am i the only doing this? How you get all those layers pack on top one another without drying?
I personally don't let products dry in-between unless I'm using a BHA/AHA or lactic acid in the beginning of my skincare for exfoliation. I am "skin-flooding". There's opinions on both methods but this works for me!
Love your content here and on Instagram ❤ Can we get a video on some things you think would be great to gift on Mother’s Day? You’ve tried it all so what’s the best of the best for mature skin?
Thanks so much. I do have melasma and lots of hyperpigmentation/freckles. I am very active on my skincare to keep it somewhat less apparent. It comes and goes with the season whether it's a little darker in the summer because more sun exposure.
Everything can be adjusted to your own personal needs and preference. You can just use 1 toner and 1 serum or target treatment for whatever your skin needs. I'm maintaining and preventing to keep my skin at its optimal state at 41-42. In all honesty, you can just simply water cleanse, tone, hydrate/brighten with a serum, moisturizer, spf, DONE!

Thank you for sharing your routine as well! Have a beautiful day!
Washing in the evening is much more important than in the morning because of dirt, oil, makeup, and sunscreen.

You can do either, but I prefer to apply as it's still wet so the skin can stay hydrated and plump. Hope that helps!
Did you do a night time routine video? I've just started using Korean products and upped the step game!
I will be making a video soon! Thanks for sharing!
I would love to see your nighttime routine!
I'll have to film it for you!
They say to put vit c first on barr skin cuz of its low pH, I am confused
It works for you ❤
Yes, it does! This is an extensive routine. Most mornings I just choose 1 toner/essence (layer this a few times) and 1 serum to target my pigmentation, moisturizer, spf.
You look amazing! Have you ever had any Botox or fillers?
No fillers or botox, I do daily massage to my face with my hands or tools.
I was told not to use Vitamin C and copper peptides since they work against each other. The Copper Lysinate in the AOS serum is a copper peptide?
Your skin looks so beautiful … what products can I use for brown spots….?
Vitamin c!
Will you make a nighttime routine?
Yes, I will! Thanks for your patience!
you’re so gorgeous and elegant ! I’ve been eyeing the allies of skin GF serum do you think it’s worthy of a permanent spot in your skincare routine ?
Thank you so much Xiomara! I do LOVE Allies of Skin GF Serum. It's currently out of stock until August, but they recommend the moisturizer I'm using and it's 30% off right now!
You are such a beauty ❤
That's so so sweet of you! Have a beautiful day!
What is your most recommended tinted sunscreen? Some sunscreen will react with my makeup and create rolls / pull off my face. 😢 Thx for your advice!
It really depends on your skin tone and if you are looking for mineral or chemical SPF. One of my all time favorites is this one: go.shopmy.us/p-2140574
Do you wear all of this under makeup? In summer?
Yes, most of the time. There may be days I take some things out but for the most part at least 6 steps.
Does that SPF sting your eyes? I have that issue with spf near my eyes.
Hi! I haven't experienced that for myself. I'm sorry that is happening to you. :( I like using the Shiseido Clear Sunscreen Stick for my kiddos and touch-ups (especially on the eyes) if you are looking for an alternative. Linked here: go.shopmy.us/p-1761498
@@BeautyStyleList Thank you for the recommendation! ❤️
A lot of western spf stings but korean spf does that less for a lot of ppl
Omg i thiught i cant mix peptides w vit c and also on days use exfolate toner do u also do the vitc and petdies?
You can always use peptides morning and night. I always use Vitamin C in the morning. Retinol or other active ingredients in the evening.
1. Serum
2. Moisturizer with spf 20
3. Sunscreen spf 50

@@BeautyStyleListHi. Would you recommend this routine for black/woc skin?
I don't know how true this is but I read not to use a fan because its basically evaporation vs absorption so your skin isn't getting the full benefits

Let’s see your Night Skincare Routine 🙏🏼
Coming soon!
Do you have a normal or dry skin ?
I have combination skin, hormonal acne! However I like to keep my skin very hydrated for glowing skin.
I don’t wash my face in the morning either but I wash my face before bed
FYI, you can tattoo a little more of your right eyebrow to balance with the left. 😁
❤❤❤

This is skincare for the rich and famous lol
Yes not for us😂
😆
Hyperpigmentation where? Your skin is flawless
Thanks so much. I do have melasma and lots of hyperpigmentation/freckles. I am very active on my skincare to keep it somewhat less apparent. It comes and goes with the season whether it's a little darker in the summer because more sun exposure.
Typically for the very rich people! What is wrong with some water? It will cleanse. And a little simple moisturizer or faceoil
I'm not rich and rich doesn't = how you decide on what you want to invest into for yourself.
@@BeautyStyleList if you are telling me you are not rich... then you don't know how rich you are
@@jJ-xg6zq I'm not sure what you're trying to prove or express, but I wish you well!
My dermatologist would say this is too many products on the face. Don’t strip it of natural oils. Simpler the better . Hydrate from the inside out.
10 layers of products!!!!! Sponsored??!!!! lol, very strange…
Nope not sponsored. I like to target my skin concerns and keep my skin hydrated and healthy.
