Definitely one of my favorite Shadow moments right here. He was told by Mephiles up front that humanity would punish him for something he didn't do and gives him the chance to prematurely punish them. But instead of repeating his mistakes back in SA2, Shadow holds onto his convictions not just to protect the world like he was meant to, but to walk his own path without hesitation.
If they ever remake this game they should give u the option to choose your own destiny I’d totally team up with mephiles simply because him and shadow would pretty much be unstoppable if u think about it
@@jameshawkins6619 Yup, for me what makes Shadow a true hero is it's the fact he's willing to fight anyone in anyway to fulfill his promise to protect people: - He betrayed Gerald at the last minute to stop the Biolizard (Gerald had manipulated some of his memory's somehow, leading to Shadow manipulating Eggman in SA2) - He opposed Black Doom and the Black Arms, effectively his genetic family, to stop them from harvesting the earth in STH - He is doing it again with Mephiles, and later Solaris, despite knowing he will be blamed for their crimes in Silver's future.
Yeah, I know people hate this game and there are definitely a lot of issues with it. HOWEVER, this is the best representation of who Shadow is to date. Heck, I honestly think this and the Shadow finale moment where he decides he won't let anyone tell him his fate are the best moments in the Sonic series.
I don't think anyone would disagree with this. Especially with his ending. There hasn't been a good representation of him since this. Hopefully the New SonicxShadow fixes this

Hate Sonic 06 but something I find awesome in this game would be that Shadow saying "that's absurd", and then him saying "I know who I am" are references to his character development from the Shadow the Hedgehog storyline. This is a Shadow who has gone through a lot and now has more closure and clarity on his identity prior to previous games. It is sad that they turned him into Edgy the Hedgy in latter games.
Yeah. The only real bad parts were the bugs, glitches, and...Her. Aside from those (and..Sonic's revival scene, specifically what happened once he was revived..), the game is pretty solid, with it's story, I mean.

Nah, Shadow's plot is the only good one from this game. Sonic was spending the whole story pretending he was Mario, and Silver was spending most of his story being gaslit and pretending Blaze was actually a character in the plot.

Sonic characters are not the best developed, nor deeper neither 3d-mentional in the world; shadow is a 90's-2000's edge-lord, something you cant take seriously, along the time you grow up, but still,Shadows quote is good as hell: "whatever it is you want to do, you can do it alone". This is pure gold, you take your responsibility about what you do, as long as your mind and body allows you to do it, no need to hear motivational shit, nor social pressure, whatever you want to be a cliche business man or a mass murder, you choose and deal with it.
