C'est une chance que Shadow ait été dans les parages, car cela a permis à Sonic d'échapper à Silver The Hedgehog, afin de sauver la princesse Elise.
Ce même Silver qui croit combattre pour un meilleur futur, mais qui s'apprête à faire une énorme erreur en éliminant Sonic. Mephiles est en fait derrière tout ça, et Shadow doit remettre Silver à sa place, afin d'empêcher Mephiles de réussir son plan.

Little tip for beating silver, you can only hit him once before he gets up and catches you. Homing attack will leave you open. Try hitting him with a kick, slide kick or sonics slide.

It is. This has been building up for Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Heroes, and even Shadow the Hedgehog. When Shadow jumped in front of Sonic, it was another reminder that he was now a hero who was righting past wrongs and genuinely cared about his friends. Shadow in Sonic Adventure 2 would have let Sonic die because he were still a believer in revenge and haven't moved on from Maria. Now? This Shadow conquered his inner demons and is focusing on saving the world from the forces of evil. He is or supposed to be the Batman of this universe while Sonic is like Superman.
