Brother that's a tough 1. On 1blade ya got size&belly&the other high polish&compound grind. On 1 handle ya got traction&a locked in grip&on the other ya got a pearl button, green handle&The Grinch. I'd have to flip a coin if someone was gonna give me 1 of the 2, but if I had to spend money, I'd buy a Kershaw. Killer blades&killer vid brother!!
Generally speaking I don't collect OTS Autos(I do like OTFs though) but I also do like searching for exceptions to my rule and at least for these two I'm enjoying both of them so I'm calling it a win for now😂
Honestly even though I'm not generally an OTS person I really like them both as well. I appreciate the attention to detail and seeing the history of both designs as they've proceeded through time
Italians did it first but they gotta work on Their heat treat game..as for the Germans they've placed so many debilitating knife laws on their people that it's hard for their knife makers to come up with non two handed opening knives that are legal for them to carry. Although both countries have a storied history of excellence in design and manufacturing prowess in general I still believe that as of today the USA makes the best automatic knives there are...although that's 100% opinion based I do love these convos! Thanks Jim I appreciate you!
@@Rollshambo No doubt about current American and Chinese products being better but those old European were, at least the good ones, were works of art. The absolute hardest kicking OTS by far was a Solingen knife that I could barely hold. It was a WWII "liberated" dagger with mother of pearl scales. Second was an Italian knife with polished horn scales. Both were probably 1930s vintage at the latest. I wish I knew what happened to them.
The gen3 ludt is truly a great knife, I am stoked that they updated the design queues to move away from a clamshell body, I think this will offer greater rigidity over use and time but I could just be guessing, either way, its pretty sweet!

Awesome comparisons
Great comp! I'm living vicariously through this one, but I can definitely appreciate the design and manufacture prowess.
I mean for me I am just not interested in autos. I recognize the quality builds and the knives are appealing but I so little experience with them.

its so gooood!
I would love to see an assortment of your best troll comments, as long as they are not wireless. Drama for the algorithm. This is the way.
The great news is they are both completely wireless and come 100% charged from the factory🤣🍻
good looking knives
Really good comparison, but the Italians and Germans might argue with you about who's best 😂

I own Protech TR4 and Microtech Socom elite
Definitely gonna get the Ludt...not impressed with the strider design... sorry
nice to see, but not for me
For me, M390, bearings and a titanium back spacer is the one for me - LUDT.
