This will be a dope series and I love the fact that you started with The Massacre. It's such a fucking classic to me being a huge 50 fan that I am and I still listen to it to this day. Just two things I wanna point out. 1) 50 won "Writer of the Year" in 2005 for all the hits on The Massacre & The Documentary, 2) When 50 was touring for GRoDT all over the world, he ended up getting kind of fat so that's why the album cover has those lines it because he drew them in to make up for some of the gains he lost lmao

As a big 50 fan, I so wish that 'How We Do' would've been on The Masscare. Hate it or Love it was somewhat on the album because of the G-Unit remix. Higher and Westside Story have more of a West Coast type feel so it wouldn't really make sense for those to be on 50's album since he's East Coast. But How We Do, man, that's the one that 50 should have kept for himself.

Sux Game didnt pledge his loyalty to G Unit through thick and thin but the album is still a classic to this very day beginning to end.
That song sparked the massacre of 50 cent. lox (Jadakiss, styles p and sheek louch) slayed G unit with that barrage of disses that game picked up on shortly after and did the same thing to smother 50 and g unit. If you think of Candy Shop or Disco Inferno when talking about The Massacre, you've been blinded by the stage fireworks and haven't seen the actual show yet
The Massacre is my fav album by 50. I think is whole another level for him musically. The production is incredible and whole aesthetic of sounding, even 50 voice sound different. GRODT was phenomenal but it was record in Sha Money’s basement. I think The Massacre got lot more professional sound. Always think this project being underrated because nobody really talks about it like that. Thank you for your work.
He wouldn’t do a video like that because he’s a 50 fan, and most fans don’t wanna admit that Game had a better (if not as good) as a rap career as 50 after G Unit Btw The Doctors Advocate is just as good (if not slightly better than The Massacre) it’s a real good debate, only ones who would deny it are the 50 Stans

Underrated album. I always thought How We Do, Higher, Hate it or Love it were better for the The Massacre album because even as a 9 year old they always sounded like 50 Cent type beats. Here I am now finding out he pretty much gave The Game those songs to help him out. I still that they are 50 Cent songs featuring The Game. If he would of kept 1 single, Higher and 1 more of the other songs he gave Game this would be his best project.
The massacre isn't his best album but it is my favorite, because it was the soundtrack of my life when I was 15 and my favorite songs are This is 50, I'm suppose to die tonight, Position of power, Ryder music, Ski mask way, and a Baltimore love thing.

Thanks quake, really appreciate the effort you put in for the research. Lots of love and respect. 50 cent is my favourite rapper/songwriter. I would have also wanted him to take a more personal approach. If he had kept his initial approach and initial tracks he made, the Massacre would have been just a pinch under get rich or die tyrin and remembered as a classic.
All the people that hate on 50 Cent, They always fail when I ask them, out of the hundreds of songs 50 ever made, name one bad song 50 cent ever put out. they can't. 50 CENT made mixtapes better than these wack rappers entire career catalogs. This man also underrated as hook writer probably the greatest hook writer after Nate Dogg. period.
Interesting to check YT comments out before the video goes live. I like this, especially from peeps who have something to say about it from back in the day. I didn't feel 50 Cent till recently tbh, so I wouldn't have known some of this stuff. Hip Hop for life tho
My favorite song from 50 Cent The Massacre is hands down.... "Ryder Music" the beat is so tight its a laid back vibe, it's timeless. When I'm 105 years old and my getting pushed in a wheelchair by my great great grandson, I'm going have a stereo in my wheelchair and as I'm rolling down the retirement home, all you'll hear is, "this is what you call rider music, all the gangsters are riding to it." Haha
For next album for 50 cent. Please cover Before I Self Destruct...it had singles left off the album that should have been there just like The Massacre AND the album was far more brutal/personal than The Massacre and The Curtis..IMO.. THANK YOU. Also maybe the Red Light District-Ludacris thatd be cool I think.. THANK YOU AGAIN QUAKE.
I really enjoyed this video! Please make more videos focusing on the making of classic albums. Maybe you should dig into the making of Jay-Z’s “Blueprint” or Nas’ “Stillmatic”.
More aggressive? I think more balanced. With the exception of 21 Questions, every song on GRoDT was aggressive. The Massacre felt more balanced to me. He had the hard-hitting, aggressive songs but he also had some laid back type songs (Ryder Music, Position of Power for ex.) and also more sexual type songs (Candy Shop, Get In My Car for ex.) as well as some club hits (Outta Control, Disco Inferno). He gives you a little bit of everything on The Massacre and it's a classic that I will listen to forever.
I originally bought the massacre over a decade ago and I loved it. I always seen 50 as an aggressive guy and this album helped me to see his soft side. I do not like the fact he got into a Beef with Murder Inc. and said something disrespectful about on of the artists but 50s music has stood the test of time. I still listen to Gunit sometimes and even have a GUNIT playlist on my youtube of my favorite songs from them. 50 is a smart guy, he just needs to continue to stay a businessman first and stop feuding with people.
I like this new series. Its a GREAT idea. I vividly remember the morning when The Massacre was released. I was 12 years old and walking to school with my cousin and I could hear Disco Inferno and Candy Shop leaking out of the headphones of other students as we walked. The Massacre was a fixture in my neighborhood for maybe a good year or two, we played it constantly. Ryder Music is probably my favorite song. Some other albums that I think you should consider for this series would be Mobb Deep - The Infamous Dr. Dre - The Chronic Snoop Dogg - Doggystyle 2Pac - All Eyez On Me Keep up the good work.
This series gonna be crazy. Can’t wait to see what’s next !!! Piggy Bank, Gatman & Robbin, Outta Control, Toy Soldier, Position Of Power ALL BANGERS !!! Massacre is just as good at his debut album y’all buggin
The Massacre is pound for pound 50's best album. Its just a fact. He repeated the same success GRODT had with this album (only a handful can do that). You can literally play the album from start to finish with little to no skippable tracks and it had about 21 songs on there. The album had the hard tracks for the grimy niggas and it also catered toward the ladies as well with the club records. Get Rich Or Die Tryin was great but it had some skippable tracks on there like Blood Hound, Like My Style and Dont Push me (meh). The Massacre had hits like Just A Lil Bit, Disco Inferno, Candy Shop etc. There were dope tracks like Get In My Car, Baltimore Love Thing, Gunz Come Out, I Dont Need Em, Im Supposed To Die Tonight, Piggy Bank, Position Of Power and I could go on and on. The Massacre is a classic and doesnt get the recognition it deserves for some reason.
Massacre was more diverse and higher in quantity but grodt had tracks that stamped 50 into hip hop history. Tracks like in da club, many men, 21?s, pimp, etc.
The Amateur Artist Go pound for pound with each track on both albums and see which one is better. I choose The Massacre every time. Fuck what tracks he entered the game with. Which album is better period?....
Hey Quake brate. Would be dope if you did an episode on other gunit albums like beg for mercy, hunger for more, straight outta cashville and the documentary. As a die hard gunit fan I liked this and alle the other 50/gunit things you do a lot 🔥
my fav 50 album. I mean GRODT is a absolute pefect debute classic overall 10/10 successfull everything, but there is something more sofisticated about the massacre...it sounds so unique...like a romantic mafioso gangsta rap album and its also a album that 50 did it more his own way like the vid mentioned not much help from Dre or Eminem etc feels more personal and also think younger people will love GRODT more untill they reach a certain age or point in their life they will appreciate the massacre more... idk lol its just a masterpiece.....
You described that perfectly. This album sounds so unique and in my eyes peak 50. Classic album. Even the softer and pop records are bangers sonically, musically and songwriting wise. Legit worldwide hit records.
People hate on Massacre. I personally enjoyed it more than GRODT. So many bangerz went over y'all heads. I'm supposed to die tonight, In My Hood, Position of Power, Gatman and Robin, Gunz Come Out, My Toy Soldier, God Gave me Style, Just A Lil bit, Candy Shop (for the ladies!)

If you think of Candy Shop or Disco Inferno when talking about The Massacre, you've been blinded by the stage fireworks and haven't seen the actual show yet
I think “I’m supposed to die tonight”
The Massacre is my fav album by 50. I think is whole another level for him musically. The production is incredible and whole aesthetic of sounding, even 50 voice sound different. GRODT was phenomenal but it was record in Sha Money’s basement. I think The Massacre got lot more professional sound. Always think this project being underrated because nobody really talks about it like that. Thank you for your work.
Exactly. Sonically and musically a great album.
Next video making of The Game album Doctor's Advocat. After Game left Gunit and without Dr. Dre help on that album.
Facts
He wouldn’t do a video like that because he’s a 50 fan, and most fans don’t wanna admit that Game had a better (if not as good) as a rap career as 50 after G Unit
Btw The Doctors Advocate is just as good (if not slightly better than The Massacre) it’s a real good debate, only ones who would deny it are the 50 Stans
Hell yeah I was just finna say that

My 11 year old loved that song when she first heard it when she was like 4.. she was singing it 😅

The Game's The Doctor's Advocate just for sheer fact that Game was on his own with this album
My birthday is on February 15th I remember being so damn hyped like yo My favorite artist of all time about drop his album on my birthday. I was hurt when it didn’t happen 😭

21:30 “congratulations baby you made history 1.1 million in a short week screw a press conference press this on your conscious”
who can say that at that time he didn't enjoy the 50 Cent Maasacre album? it's a very great album, i mean one of the best of all time. 50 CENT YOU ARE SO GOOD.
Thank you for making these awesome videos for all of us. It really brings back some good memories when it comes to music. Keep them coming bro.
It's really dope that he gave some new and unknown producers a shot at working with the biggest rap artist at the time, that's really cool!
"A Baltimore Love Thing" is pure poetry
50 was on top hottest rapper at that time I hope 50 Released a new album
When u gonna do "Dr Dre vs Eazy-E " beef or "Cypress Hill vs Westside Connections" beef
Will always be my favorite 50 Album
I must say i liked his beats on this album more then any other 50 cent album
50 really gave The Game those classic records... smh, he really should of kept those records for himself
All the people that hate on 50 Cent, They always fail when I ask them, out of the hundreds of songs 50 ever made, name one bad song 50 cent ever put out. they can't. 50 CENT made mixtapes better than these wack rappers entire career catalogs.
This man also underrated as hook writer probably the greatest hook writer after Nate Dogg. period.
Wise words homie🤙🤘🤙🤘
Salute🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💣
50s my favorite but he does have some bad songs 🤷🏿♀️

Interesting to check YT comments out before the video goes live. I like this, especially from peeps who have something to say about it from back in the day.
I didn't feel 50 Cent till recently tbh, so I wouldn't have known some of this stuff. Hip Hop for life tho
I love your channel. But I got one question for you, when you’re going to drop the 2pac beef with biggie?
President Santana Quake said he’s going too do a Who Really Won’ video on them. Also he was going too do Dr. Dre vs. Eazy-E. That’s why he’s asking.
I remeber being 13 and popping this cd in my cd player and that intro with the gunshots scared the shit outta me lol

His Album Power of the Dollar! My most favorite of his!!!!
Agreed
Agreed
I need u to do one on dmx!! Remember dmx I think was the first artist to 2 number 1 albums in the same year!! So that should be good
My favorite 50 album and Position Of Power is my favorite track.
Are you gonna upload the dr dre vs eazy e video??
My favorite song from 50 Cent The Massacre is hands down.... "Ryder Music" the beat is so tight its a laid back vibe, it's timeless. When I'm 105 years old and my getting pushed in a wheelchair by my great great grandson, I'm going have a stereo in my wheelchair and as I'm rolling down the retirement home, all you'll hear is, "this is what you call rider music, all the gangsters are riding to it."
Haha
For next album for 50 cent. Please cover Before I Self Destruct...it had singles left off the album that should have been there just like The Massacre AND the album was far more brutal/personal than The Massacre and The Curtis..IMO..
THANK YOU.
Also maybe the Red Light District-Ludacris thatd be cool I think..
THANK YOU AGAIN QUAKE.
Couldn't agree with you more
I really enjoyed this video! Please make more videos focusing on the making of classic albums. Maybe you should dig into the making of Jay-Z’s “Blueprint” or Nas’ “Stillmatic”.
The Massacre was dope. I feel like people throw shade at it because of “candy shop” but look at the track list!! So many bangers!
So many classics on that album, get rich or die trying and the massacre are both classics I still can't decide which album is better 💯

Position of Power - Curtis Jackson 50Cent [Produced By Jonathan Rotem] [Year: 2005] [Album: The Massacre] - Diverse Mentality [Explicit]
“Gunz Come Out” is the hardest song on this album and “Disco Inferno” was the best music video on the album 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
50 is the only artist that put his artist out so they all shine as well as the team Gunit is a staple
Cant wait, if u ask me the massacre was more deadlier than his first album he got more aggressive
Yeah, way more aggressive.
But still deep down we all know "Guess Who's Back" was the best🥺
Facts 💯
hell nah
More aggressive? I think more balanced. With the exception of 21 Questions, every song on GRoDT was aggressive. The Massacre felt more balanced to me. He had the hard-hitting, aggressive songs but he also had some laid back type songs (Ryder Music, Position of Power for ex.) and also more sexual type songs (Candy Shop, Get In My Car for ex.) as well as some club hits (Outta Control, Disco Inferno). He gives you a little bit of everything on The Massacre and it's a classic that I will listen to forever.
Anyday, anytime and any place GET RICH OR DIE TRYING is my favourite album from 50,
Every song on that album was a hit back to back
I'd love to see a video detailing the making of "The Don Kiluminati: The 7 Day Theory" by Makavali.
Crazy seeing young 50 swear pop smoke was his twin, RIP WOO 💙
Bought this album when I was 8 years old, changed my fucking life !!!
Yo! Bro your intros to these videos are dope AF!!!
That album is extraordinary and when you think that This is how we do and Hate it or love it should have also been on it...
me waiting on "The Making of Tony Yayo's 'Thoughts Of A Predicate Felon'
Why?...
DJ God 😂 my thoughts exactly
Keep waiting 😂
Position of Power my favorite 50cent song on the album and all time
I love this ! They don’t make it like 50 anymore dude was an animal and had the diss track and radio singles to go with it .
This album is so fucking underrated, been saying that since i was a kid lol
I like this new series. Its a GREAT idea. I vividly remember the morning when The Massacre was released. I was 12 years old and walking to school with my cousin and I could hear Disco Inferno and Candy Shop leaking out of the headphones of other students as we walked. The Massacre was a fixture in my neighborhood for maybe a good year or two, we played it constantly. Ryder Music is probably my favorite song.
Some other albums that I think you should consider for this series would be
Mobb Deep - The Infamous
Dr. Dre - The Chronic
Snoop Dogg - Doggystyle
2Pac - All Eyez On Me
Keep up the good work.
Top 5 albums
People be sleeping on the Curtis Album.

Take away Peep Show, Fire & Amusement Park.. then Curtis really isn’t that bad of an album
Would love to see the series continuing with Nas’ It was written. Great video man as always.
Do get rich or die trying the soundtrack I feel like that one was very personal. Dark times then
his mind was thinkiing am I going to make it? Will I die? Will I have something to give my son? Very deep album.
This series gonna be crazy. Can’t wait to see what’s next !!!

Forever a classic 💥💥💥💥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This was dope. Would definitely like to hear about his first album on Shady, get Rich or die tryin.
The Game has some nerve coming at 50 so crazy. Yes, 50 fired him on air.. but he BLESSED The Game album the documentary .
Baltimore Love Thing & Rider Music was my favorite songs on there🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
50 still had it in 05, but that's when Houston started to take over, and also artists like Boosie and Webbie
Hey Quake brate. Would be dope if you did an episode on other gunit albums like beg for mercy, hunger for more, straight outta cashville and the documentary. As a die hard gunit fan I liked this and alle the other 50/gunit things you do a lot 🔥
Classic Album💯
Amazing video, this was the first album I bought. I hope you do The Eminem Show next please
my fav 50 album.
50 has two classics one is iconic and the second is very underrated & unappreciated
Hands DOWN......One of the BEST Hiphop album EVER!
The first album from 50 i herd and my favorite
