We've just started playing with the Zhiyun Crane 2 paired with the mighty GH5 paired with the almighty SIGMA 18-35 F/1.8 (hooked with the Viltrox EF-M2 II) and we are just amazed of what this setup can do!
Hi! Give the narrow focal length range of 11-16mm, a metabones this is equal to a 14-22mm FF equivalent right? Is this meant to be mostly left wide open at 14mm given the narrow range?
Hey love your videos! It's great to see you with over 2k subs, I remember when you had a couple hundred... I thought the information in here was great, but it was hard for me to comprehend so much at once. I thought the presentation was too fast and I'd like to see a slightly slower pace so I can keep up with understanding the information put forth. I got this lens recently and the tips about AF/MF was helpful! Thank you.
It’s crazy to think that a year ago at this time I only have a couple hundred. Thank you for joining the ride early on! But yeah I hear you on the pace. I think I get a little too excited sometimes when talking about camera gear 😂
Question sir, Any vignetting or warping when wide open at 11mm 2.8? Any camera footage in video. Links would be helpful. I got the chance to get one for 190 used, first version. I am a subscriber. :)
Hi! So I would need to switch off stabilisation on my Gh5mII if I get this? Seems to defeat the purpose a bit 😔I think this tokina is "almost" parfocal.
So Viltrox makes two speedboosters for MFT. One that goes Canon EF to MFT and the another is Nikon F to MFT. The Canon EF one allows you to adjust the aperture electronically from the camera just as if you were using a native lens. The nikon version doesn’t allow this, but it has an Iris ring on the adapter that changes the aperture on the lens for you. Think of it as if you were using a vintage lens basically. I hope this clears this up!
I use the Nikon version with a speedbooster or a novoflex 1:1 adapter. In opposite to what you suggest, controlling aperture in the camera, i can control the aperture stepless on the adapter. And for me this is much more "natural" and important. And i don't need autofocus at all.
Excellent video buddy. Question for you, have you ever had any problems when changing the aperture from camera? I ask because I have this lens mounted on a gh4 with viltrox speedbooster and when I change the aperture it does change the aperture f/stop number on camera but the actual lens aperture doesn’t change. It does after a couple of tries. I changed the lens at the camera store for a new one and still the same. Could it be a gh4 issue? Lens works fine on my canon cameras though. Thanks in advance.
Is it true that is almost impossible to pull focus with the viltrox m2 speed booster? I just heard it from another reviewer and he was actually advicing not to buy this lens, unless is the latest version.
I haven’t tried that lens yet, but I have heard good things. Compared to the Tokina it lacks the versatility being a prime lens and not being able to adapt it to other camera systems later on. Thanks for watching!
Hi, I am looking for lens recommendations for a beginner. I currently have the GH5 with a 12-60mm kit lens and a 25mm prime. Would you think a Tokina 11-16mm be a good choice for a couple of wider shots with a speedbooster. It is a little confusing if TOKINA AT-X 11-16mm F2.8 DXII Canon would fit with the Viltrox speed booster. Thanks
Hey man I just bought this lens. Is it supposed to make loud noises when increasing the aperture? I’m aware of the af noise but mine is making loud noises when I increase the aperture only in video mode. On photo mode it’ doesn’t ? Is it my lens or do you have similar issue?
Mine does the same thing whenever in a manual mode. So if I’m shooting video it does it and in Manual photo mode too. In aperture priority it does not. I also had someone ask me this in another video as well and we were never really able to figure out why it does this. I hope this helps and thanks for watching!
What is your favorite gimbal or wide angle lens for the GH5 or MFT?!

That is a great setup you have! I can’t imagine the images you get with it. Thanks for watching!
Hi ! And what about vs 12-35 mn panasonic 2.8 ?

tokinha is underrated. 5:09 u said the canon speed-booster allows adjusting aperture but the viltrox doesn't? explain a bit further plz.

im thinking of buying the lens, but i don't have a gimble, do you think that the lack of stabilization will be a problem for filming with it?

Any other good lens to adapt from another system to M43? (other than the Canon 24-70mm) Thanks!
Price aside: this vs the Panasonic leica 10-25mm F1.7? 😁 (no AF noise)

Hey. in 4:3 photo mode you see any black bar on the corner s?
Great question! I just tried it out to see and I do get a little vignette in the corners. I hope this helps and thanks for watching!
👍🏼
Lucked out and just picked this up from a guy in town for $80 bucks 👏🏾
