Hi Tina, I totally forgot about this technique. So easy yet so versatile and pretty. I’m with you, the littlest things make me happy. It doesn’t take much at all to bring happiness, for me at least.
I love the story about your daughter and the park. That has happened to me so many times when I’ve taken my Grandchildren to a park. Once they finally break the ice, they have such a fun time. A few years ago, my Oldest Daughter came to visit for a few days with her 4 kids and we went to a new park that had been been constructed in our very small town. There was a little boy about 10 or so who was there by himself. My Grandchildren immediately went up to him and asked him if he wanted to play with them. Of course he was thrilled and they had so much fun. Then the next day we were going somewhere in the car and we saw the little boy walking in town, again, by himself. So one of my Grandchildren said, oh we should ask him if he wants a ride to wherever he’s going. My Daughter and I looked at each other and were thinking the same thing. There’s no way in this day and age that we should pick up this boy and take him anywhere. Which is sad. Sad for two reasons I think, one that he was always alone and heaven knows what would happen to us with the law if we had this boy in our car for any reason. My Grandchildren, with their big hearts, said they just felt sorry for him because it seems like he’s always alone. Have a great day. Hugs 🤗
Oh what a sad but true thing, like you say kids are just big hearted and kind and wanted to give him a lift, but the world being the way it is you just don’t dare. It is really a shame that this is the world we live in nowadays. Lovely that they asked him to play at the park though x

So glad I watched this video. It inspired me... I took a sheet of printable paper (that I'd designed and printed myself) that was a little plain, tore some strips of French dictionary page, glued them onto the printable with the text in alternating directions, trimmed the edges... then scanned it. Bingo! Now my printable is much more interesting.

Beautiful Tina, and a great method. Normal women get excited about expensive shoes. We junk-journal gals derive joy from figuring out how to get parasol handles through ladies’ hands. In the grand scheme of things, not a bad way to go!

They’re lovely aren’t they? Like I say those snippet pages aren’t my idea, but turning them into envelopes was......purely because I couldn’t bring myself to tear the lovely pages up! Lol x

Helllllooooo Tina, what a lovely video. I was just as excited as you were when the umbrella went through the ladies hand. It made all the difference, now she could hold her own umbrella and keep dry!!!! (She was sooooo grateful!!!!) The envelope also was super cute. Am enjoying these revisits to 2020 projects so much. It was during our own 1st lockdown that I discovered your channel and have been grateful ever since because it taught me a whole new world of art. Earlier today, I finished fussy cutting 2x’s the butterfly garden ephemera pages, and each individual piece was so amazingly gorgeous. I adore spots, lots of my clothes are mainly plain in colour and the only pattern I will have is spots lol. You are very efficient on the sewing machine. The children love the park, I love to see them running around having some freedom. Now I am going to put my fingers at risk, because I will probably want to do that with the parasol lol. I needed to see this vid cuz Joie's snippets were one of my faves too, but I have, like you said you do, trouble tearing them up and using them so I thought you might give me ideas regarding that... BUT... when I put full attention to the screen and saw you tussling with the parasol lady I put down my iron and picked up my phone to cheer you on. Tina, I love these. I've been wanting to try sewing paper but have been scared to do so. I really need to get over it and give it a try.
I did a lot of wood working over the summer. I haven't been able to get in the shop since it's been so cold.
I felt the same about sewing papers, but it was actually fine, the sewing machine didn’t seem to have any problems. Wood working, that sounds awesome, I am wondering what types of things you did? X
Tina, I have one of those stamp books too! Love it!! You probably don't need to worry about it running out one day because they are regularly available on eBay, which is where I got mine. ☺

There are always sellers with them on eBay and at various prices. Of course the older the book the better for not having copyright issues

Was interested in the blue and green papers that you used, are they in the shop?
Here’s an idea - instead of cutting the lady and threading the umbrella, I cut a little piece out of the umbrella handle where her hand is and glued the handle above and below her hand. Necessity is the mother of invention for sure, even in the craft world. I wouldn’t have been able to cut and thread and all that without probably amputating her hand altogether. 🤪

The sewing machine noise was fine. Never apologise for the odd family noise - we are all doing our best. I find if I put a mat under my machine it deadens the noise. My "mat" is an old pair of jeans! And i don't do videos, I just like it quieter.

That thrilled me as well !! But do you know what I do with thing's that I achieved like this? (No I am not crazy) I have a shadow box, and I display it for inspiration. Then when I do something else I swap it out and add the one I take out and add them to my book and journal what I did that was a great accomplishment for myself.
