Only partway in the video... I went and looked the In my Garden book up.... they want upwards of $100 for it... craziness! Lol... its definitely a great find. I'm going to finish the video... oh so adorable. I love all of them!

I have a Tim holts splater brush that I must open and use. I have enjoyed watching this project and now for a coffee and some e tags . TFS lovely.

these are lovely Tina. I have a lot of distress oxides and don't use them. I think it's time to pull them out. I love the broken china, so bright and cheerful, it made that stamp. Be well and stay safe.

Tina you did an outstanding job. They turned out truly amazing. I know it’s too late now. But in the future if you want some splatters. Smush you vintage photo ink pad onto your glass mat, then add a tad of water. With a round brush splatter away. And another great idea. Is to use coffee or tea. They make wonderful splatters too. You are so amazing and I love watching you.

I don’t understand how you and others Inwatch can cut so absolutely
Super cute all of them music paper is always the go to and it make things look great. To get paint splatters use a small bristle wet paint brush with acrylic paints of your choice load the brush, hold the brush over the area use a pencil or maybe your scissor tip and just tap the paint brush and you will have splatters hold the brush high or low to see which splatters you like the most some will be small or large depending on how close & loaded the paint is on your brush. Hope this info helps. Thanks for sharing this tutorial about to get my music sheets out!!!!!

I about stroked out after seeing how much these books cost and how I had said make a copy of the page don't cut it up. But, I would definitely hoard the books but you have made some really cute thing's with the book.

I love that rabbit tag!! I’m always a little sad when I see music being chopped up - probably the pianist in me - but I must admit it looks wonderful as a background. I couldn’t cut that book up. You have no idea how many books I’ve picked up and can’t bear to cut up! I’m slowly getting better. I’m going to make a set of these using some really torn music 😊 lovely tags Tina xx
Yes, I know what you mean about the sheet music (not to mention the books) it's sometimes hard to cut/tear it down. Sheet music always looks so beautiful doesn't it? You are super talented being a pianist :-) x

Since seeing these tags and the victoria plum one youve inspired me. I have a brother wholives in stockholm sweden and the national doll is pippi longstocking. Ive found a book on amazon (48p) and im going to use the images for my journal and some tags

Tags came out beautiful! As for the stamp color, you probably had Victorian Velvet Distress Ink--the same color will look different in the Distress OXIDES (tend to be more chalk like). I prefer the Distress Inks, but many prefer the Distress Oxides.
This is especially true if you are stamping on bright or dark colors since the pigment properties in oxide ink cause it to “sit on top” of the paper rather than soaking in.

Those are so pretty!
The Victorian Velvet oxide is "different" as it has white pigment making it almost chalk like. Pink Poodle crafts has a video on how to make your own distress oxide sprays - it's a great way to make them, but more how better to understand how Oxides are different to the normal Distress inks.

Darling book, love how you incorporated the pages in your tags!
Love these tags. You are like me in that you find it hard to cut into such a beautiful book and images. I bought some beautiful Edith Holden books with the intention of using pages/ images from it, but I just couldn't be brave enough, and they ate now sat on my bpokshelf to be admired now and again. Distress Oxides are different in colour to the inks because of the opaqueness and chalkiness. The inks are more translucent. I buy each colour in k and oxide to giv me a choice ad so that is good for wide range of applications. Thank you for a fantastic video, as always xx

I love sheet music and maps!! Our parish has been giving out weekly music and prayer sheets since Covid and we attend the last Mass of Sunday so sometimes my husband and I go up and down the pews and pick up the discarded ones and I bring them home for my journaling stash. I've got a nice little folder collected.

The strawberries were perfect with the little girl pic and the mouse! He is adorable! The word memories with the clock evoked sad memories...I loved it. I will be keeping my eyes open for a clock to use so I can do a similar tag. TFS 🙂

These are adorable. That book has some awesome pictures. If you can I'd get two so that yo dont loose any of those darling pics !!! You can sometimes copy and give as gifts. That way your not making a profit with another artists works !!

I saw Barbara from 49dragonflies do this, which was amazing, and she did say you were doing them too, they are great to watch it's like a DIY dupe lol. I love sheet music as you can't go wrong using it, also book pages tend to go with everything. Rachel doesn't ink at all does she and her work is awesome but mine looks like something is missing, I suppose it's whatever you're used to lol..Your tags came out very cute, I esp liked the bird one with the orange flowers......will enjoy seeing what your next one is x

Love watching your demos. You always make them so enjoyable, easy to follow and inspiring. You're lucky to have access to so many lovely books there in the UK like Edith Holden and M E Eldridge. Way to expensive to buy here in Australia, and I don't think I could bring myself to cut them apart even if I had one. I'll content myself with getting all the inspiration and ideas that you share with us. Thanks for making these videos. They're great.

tags are super cute. I always love your projects. Just a note Oxide inks are a different formula from regular distress ink you shouldn't use the oxide blenders with the distress, could possibly mess up your distress ink

I am not on pinterest because I know what will happen. I also like using the slow cooker or crockpot because then I can say that I cooked all day. I was separating items for 3 different crafters listening to your video. I am keeping my craft room in order. It is tidy Friday every day in my stamp room. Much love ❤❤❤

If you put some distress oxide on to your pad on right side of your mat, add a little water, pick it up with your water brush and then hit the brush on your finger to splatter it or flick the brush and it will splatter on to the tag. Hope this helps.

I never cut my books up, I make copies on stained paper.
Hi, I completely agree with you on photocopying my book's pages on stained paper, rather than tearing them.

What we can do for ourselves and what you can do on Utube may be different. Quite possibly copyright infringement if she copied them and showed it. You cant copy and sell on etsy.
I understand, it is difficult cutting into such beautiful books. As Shelly said, it's a copyright issue, so no copying allowed (unless using just for your own purposes) x

Tags are my absolute favorite item to craft I recently purchased a set of Schirmers music books for next to nothing. They've been burning a hole in my proverbial craft pocket! 😆 I also use tags as mixed media art pieces. My latest version is a tag shaped journal

Tina, your tags are beautiful. If possible could you consider doing some tags that would work in child journal or a Little Golden Book for a child? I struggle with making tags for children Thank you for considering this. Love this video. 🇨🇦

I also have other pieces using images in the Using Book Images in a Junk Journal - SERIES Playlist. You might get some ideas from these. Hope this helps, xx

try using an old toothbrush for splat effect, take the bristles and dip them in something and use your thumb to run across the bristles on to the object you want the effect
