Meet the GENIUS1 - Similar to our G750, just better. It's 35% smaller and delivers 35% more power. It's the all-in-one solution - battery charger, battery maintainer, trickle charger, plus battery desulfator.
Do more with Genius - Designed for 6-volt and 12-volt lead-acid automotive, marine, and deep-cycle batteries, including flooded, gel, AGM, and maintenance-free, plus lithium-ion batteries.
Enjoy precision charging - An integrated thermal sensor detects the ambient temperature and alters the charge to eliminate over-charging in hot climates and under-charging in cold climates.
Charge dead batteries - Charges batteries as low as 1-volt. Or use the all-new force mode that allows you to take control and manually begin charging dead batteries down to zero volts.
Restore your battery - Automatically detects battery sulfation and acid stratification to restore lost battery performance for stronger engine starts and extended battery life.
Beyond maintenance - It's not just a trickle charger, it's an advanced battery maintainer. A fully-automatic, worry-free battery charger for everyday use - 24/7 - with zero overcharge.
Compatible with all types of vehicles - charge and maintain cars, motorcycles, lawn mowers, ATVs, lawn tractors, trucks, SUVs, boats, PWCs, classic cars, and more.

This little machine is amazing. They desulfate your battery too, making it like brand new. On my wife's mazda, it takes about 6 hours to do its glorious work. This not only saves your battery, it helps keep your alternator happy. A battery in bad condition strains the alternator and makes it wear out sooner.
Yes it is a great product
Thanks for this video very helpful - question what is the little connector in the middle of the Aligator clip cable
It's a fuse.
@@ToolsElectroDIY thanks for answering my lame question ( I am a girl LOL)

yes NOCO makes excellent products!
Interestingly, you showed an instruction manual with a chart. Mine didn’t come with one.
good to know
mine didn't either 😭
Thanks for the video buddy!
Any time!
Buenos días, ante un corte de energía cuando regresa el servicio, el mini cargador comienza nuevamente su siclo de carga o hay que setearlo. Gracias Good morning, in the event of a power outage when the service returns, the mini charger starts its charging cycle again or must be reset. Thank you
it will resume charge automatically
Thank you so much.@@ToolsElectroDIY
The battery has to be hooked up to it ? I can’t charge it and then bring it to my car ?
It is a charger, not a battery
@@ToolsElectroDIYThey are asking if they can take the battery out of the car to charge it and then bring it back. We just want to know if the battery needs to be in the car while its charging. People want to know this because not everyone has an extension cord or a way to charge the battery while its in the car so they need to take out to charge. We are asking if that is possible??
You can take the battery out. It usually takes 2 days to charge a dead battery
@@Yourunkbob Yes, you can remove the battery and charge it up with any noco smart charger.
I have a problem with my car draining the battery and nobody (firestone, toyota, or anyone) can tell me why. This product was recommended to me. It seems like a charger that lets you know how much juice is in your battery. Does this device restore a dead battery?
No, you need genius 10
You can find which circuit is leaching the battery down. Charge up your vehicle battery with the positive terminal disconnected from the car. With the key off, put your 10 amp capable ammeter between the positive lead and the positive terminal. See how much current is being used. It should not be more than about .3 amps, or 300 milliamps. You probably have half an amp .(5 amps or 500 milliamps+) load. With it connected, remove fuses until one of them causes the amp draw load to drop down a lot. Look up that fuse on your diagram of fuses to find out which circuit it is. You will have isolated the problem to a single circuit in your car, which is extremely helpful.
From that circuit you can find which leg of that circuit is drawing power.
@@troy3456789 Thank you so much for the advice. I have been disconnecting my cables when I park. Sometimes it sucks but it works like a charm. I don't understand why Firestorm can't do this. Thank you for the advice and I will try and use it.
I noticed you are doing this outdoors, would it be safe to use this in the rain connected to an electrical outlet? My garage is full so I would have to park my car right outside my garage and connect it to my home electrical outlet. Thanks for any insight!
not recommended, but I left it outside when it rained, nothing happened.
They are absolutely waterproof; (all the noco battery charger maintainers)

Thy aren’t !!!
Can I power the Noco off a power station?
Yes you can.
Can this charger be used in a closed garage/with the garage door closed? The instructions first say to use in a ventilated area, but then goes on to say you can leave the charger connected indefinitely; I’m assuming they don’t expect people to leave their garage doors open for months on end, but I just want to be sure.
Good question I don’t know.
Most garages are leaky enough to permit sufficient fresh air flow. The gases being emitted are hydrogen, oxygen and Sulfur Dioxide. Sulfur dioxide gas is usually produced when the temperature inside the battery exceeds 60.0C, and current flow exceeds 10amps. Sulfur dioxide gas is colorless but has a pungent smell and can be picked easily by the nose
This device cannot make your car battery exceed 60c or pass 10 amps.
Thanks for the video. What would be the reason to go with the Genius 2 over the Genius 1, just 2x charging speed, or?
Yes the speed is doubled.
If your battery is not in terrible condition, the noco1 is perfectly capable of making it like new again.
How do you make it automatically detect the type of battery…?
by default, it is automatically.
I’m not sure it’s automatic- another video looked at the manual (which was not included for mine!) and said that, no, this model is manual. (Cannot verify- will have to look online for the manual!)
Can I take the battery out of my car to charge it or does it have to be plugged in the car
You don't have to take it out of the car. Use the clamps for connecting to the terminals.
Just I need to operate my small car.
My battery is already dead.
It can be useful?
It’s worth a shot it’s cheaper than getting a new battery
@@ToolsElectroDIY can I connect this device to my car directly to start it ?
my battery now is useless. just need to change it after operate my car
@@batigol202020 It may take a long time before you can do that. You need a battery jump starter for this. See my review th-cam.com/video/nKuxuYiIh0U/w-d-xo.html
Use "force mode" if it won't read the battery meaning it has less than one volt. You have to hold the mode button down for 3 seconds or more to get to force mode.
can you keep it for a few days without damaging anything
Yes you can. It is a trickle charger and it will automatically stop/start
@@ToolsElectroDIY thank you boss
Motorcycle battery. which should i use 12v or 12V agm
If you run stereo long time, get AGM.
The battery will say if it is an AGM battery. AGM batteries are more rugged to withstand shaking better than regular flooded lead acid batteries. AGM and regular batteries are flooded lead acid batteries, but the agm has a fiberglass mat between the anodes and cathodes.
They are slightly higher voltage than regular batteries, and the noco can be told to charge it at 14.6vdc agm rate.
Doesn't blinking green mean the battery is currently in absorption stage?
Yes, "trickle charging".
@Tools. Electro. DIY So, technically not fully charged yet, I'm assuming?
@@rsc102 At that stage it should be considered fully charged. This charger is just maintaining the battery at 100%
@Tools. Electro. DIY Understood. I'm just a bit confused because this device uses two different blinking green lights for the battery's charged state.
Just to clarify for some of you. . . . .Pulsing green means bulk charge complete & optimizing for long life. Green with SLOW pulse means 100% charged & in maintenance mode. Recommend leaving connected until it turns to a SLOW green pulse. Disconnect before the optimization stage is complete & you don't actually have a full charge yet.
Subscribed, Question - do you need to charge it before using it?
No. It is doesn't have a built-in battery.
You have to have it plugged into an electric outlet to use it.
Anyone know why it might be stuck on standby for my car battery?
What is the voltage of the car battery?
Push the mode button because they very first time you use it it will go solid orange in standby mode. The second time and beyond it remembers what you chose for the battery selection.
@@ToolsElectroDIY He forgot to push the mode button the first time you use it, it always goes to standby mode with a solid orange light.

Cold cranking amps indicates battery condition
yes
You didn’t show how to turn on and set the controller. Would have helped😢
It's plug n play, very easy. I didn't thought about that, sorry.
Can I jump my car with this ??
You need this to jump start the car and fix your battery, watch th-cam.com/video/CA3OME0W5rQ/w-d-xo.html
💥💥 Do you know how this compares to the Genius 10.?
I don't have Genius 10 yet. I may buy it.
The noco genius 10 outputs up to 10amps, the noco genius 1 outputs 1 amp. Noco genius 10 is about one hundred dollars more than the noco genius 1
first disconnect the black cable for security
Sounds good thanks
This thing it is not convenient for the people who live on apartment
Then, what is the best option if you live in an apartment do you have a better recommendation?
If your own house you can take out extension wire to your car but if you live you have common parking lot,you can’t leave your car hood open for charge for safety reasons I need long extension wire if we ignore the other reasons there are people who live third or above floor
@@anchiledi9722you can buy a power bank with a plug.
