Great job on the battery tender I saw you carry a knife nice knife I have the same one Osborne, 940 God bless i’m doing some research I want to get a battery tender myself
For two batteries in parallel you either need two chargers one going to positive and negative of each battery or hook negative to one battery and positive to the other battery. Also not sure a 2ah charger is gonna be enough to keep two diesel batteries. If it were mine I’d kick out the extra money and get the 5x2 charger and hook up to each battery.
The thing I like about the 2 amp NOCO battery charger is the flat battery charging if you have a battery with only 1 amp showing dead battery it can force charge if you hold the button for 7 seconds on the version I purchased that charges 12 volts and 6 volts and lithium batteries at 2 amps charge. I think your version only charges 12 volts.
The genius 2 is only rated for 40 amp hours a Duramax set of batteries is normally about 120 amp hours total (60ah per battery) You are using way to small a charger is you are only using the genuis2d. You need more like the 5 or 10 to keep up if you discharge the batteries often. I use the 10 and have zero complaints.

Thanks, I appreciate the product overview and your concerns about where/how to hook up. I had the same concerns. Very helpful.
i ended up putting velcro on mine and mounting it to the big airbox on the passenger side. thanks for showing us how to wire it up!
Nice review. Just got mine last night. Waiting for the bride to go out so I can use the garage to install. Two words. Zip ties. 👍
Neat idea. I like how you wired it up. Very convenient. Thanks for sharing.

Are these good for keeping a battery charged up during cold weather when the cold tends to drain batteries??

Can you start your car when it’s plug in
How’s it working for you? I have the same one on my 2017 Duramax and it can’t keep my battery’s charged
