remember drinking cider with the lads in the early seventies with the radio on in the northern council estate of sunderland and this song came on the radio. wonderful memories. Thanks 10 cc
I left school for good in June 1978. Got my first job in July of the same year. My first purchase with my first full time job money (as opposed to summer jobs) was a cassette "10Ccc's Greatest Hits" I still have it in some box in the garage - must drag it out and play it again some time.
Remember watching this on top of pops aged 11 absolutely transfixed , jaw dropped by the woman dancing , though I didn’t know why at the time , first crush , wow 😍😇
Decades after their 1975 masterpiece, at last I get to learn more about this superb band. This song cracked me up and again showcased these guys' skill. Do I hear a bit of parody of the Beatles' Oh Darlin'? . . . . Like all you guys, I just luv 10cc.
If ever a band should have done a lets all get back together tour with all the original members its this one..One lost opportunity guys..So much talent in one group, great back catalogue of songs / music.. would have been a tour talked about for years after of that I am sure..

One word fabulous
Remember waiting for Thursday night to see Top of the Pops, at half 7 to see bands like 10cc, early 70's. Happy days....

I'm in the same boat with my daughter. It just kills me too. My heart...
Wherever your daughter is you need to go a find her and tell her how much you love her!
Sorry you haven't seen her in a long time.
Fingers x Julie , hope for good news .x
My son hasn't spoken to me for 14 years. 😢
What ever append to these sort of songs. Good old days for me.
saw them in Boston in the late 70's. one of the best shows i ever saw
My teenager years listening to this song. Lovely simple times. Now 63 🤷🏽♀️
I'm 62 so sad those great days are no more 😢😢

Most of their songs were tongue in cheek. I think this one was imitating Donna by Richie Valens.
Extremely talented Brit band. Four singer songwriters in one band.
A unique band and great talent
they were all singers they were all british but they definitely were not britpop
I love 10cc I hate and always have hated britpop
@@mreddiegdaly Brit pop? Give an example. Do you mean bands like Sweet or more like Steps?
@@gibbopg I meant oasis blur pulp and other like minded bands I would say sweet were glam rock and steps middle of the roadish

Wow not heard this in over thirty years but I remember all the words, great song.
Donna is a lovely name. It means strength and beauty❤🥰🥰
Great band great songs, Graham Gouldman also wrote for the yardbirds, For your love and heartful of soul, and for the Hollies with Bus Stop. 😘
And look through any window, I think 😀
Spot on jane. 10cc one of the best bands of the 70s. I was about 6 when this song came out.
Probably the most talented foursome after the Beatles ❤❤❤
This is a copy of Oh Darling off Abbey Road
IV come back to enjoy this, what a talented band, I'm so sorry I never appreciated them at the time.
Never see there like again 😢😢
Possibly the most underrated band of the 70s.
Where are these ratings? I'd like to see for myself

Great band, great writing and great vocals!
Very very talented group great memories of 1970's.
Very pretty lead singer 😁🥰
Donna can make me sit down or stand up anytime, better still I'll lie down 😊
That look and giggle they exchange at 1.40 is so lovely.
Couldn't agree more. I noticed that. It was great to see some positive chemistry, and the fact that they don't take themselves too seriously!
Yes, he has a lovely smile.
They probably got the giggles with that silly bird dancing 😏
DONNA, In You I Have Found a Friend For Life & For That Alone I Thank You 🤗 & 🥰

What a band!
Wonderful first song I had to buy!
Top 3 band in English pop scene EVER
Brilliant falsetto! Great song.
Oh Darling!!!!!
Please believe me….😂
It's an egregious rip off of the John Lennon / Paul McCartney Abbey Road song
oh my! just home from Vietnam at 30 years old now 80!
memories😄
Loved 10cc im 70 now
If you think they were good in the 70s, go see them now. They're amazing live.I saw them earlier this year. They did Donna acapella style. It blew me away.
yuup..!!!! they were in holland and did it acapella and it sounds perfect
My first single. I had no idea it was a parody of doo-wop or that it resembled Oh Darling by the Beatles- just loved it, still do
This is so funny. A bell is ringing somewhere in my mind.
Great song, great band, great memories ❤️
Loved this song for years only found out a few weeks ago it was a 10cc song, 🎶 🎶 🎶 🎶 🎶 🎶 🎶 🎶
Try Oh Darling by the Beatles 👍
Great set
10cc is just as good as Sparks, Queen, and Roxy Music.
1:22 i love the way the drums come in here
Lol Creme was such a cutie.
Loved him
Absolutely. I have a crush on him xx

My first single too, my big brother bought it for me

Much, much more than a “popgroup “. Definitely great.

Good band, me dad played them a lot. 😛
I think 10cc, who were a good band, had definitely been listening to Oh Darling by The Beatles...it's almost identical!
i think so too
Similar, yes. Almost identical, no.
Oh Darling, Please believe me!
best song i heard first in 2023
unbelevble group graham goldman a lagend
Oh darlingggg!
Sounds reminiscent of "Oh! Darling" from Abbey Road
More than a little
Or Johnny don’t do it from the 10cc LP
Yes
Reminiscent? IDK how they weren't sued
In the seventies and eighties before most had electronic rings, many people were caught out thinking it was their own telephone ringing.
Great song - but I always wondered what the purpose of the old boot was...
Where did the time go? I was 8 years old when this charted 🥲
Back when dancing was an art form.
When music was great!😁
That 70s show vibes
A Ⓜ️©️®️ band 💙🙏🎵🎧🎤❤️

When Eric and donna danced to I'm not in love

It's a wonder the Beatles didn't sue them

NZ this was a good song to sing with drunken lads 😎
Song dedicated to all the beautiful girls named Donna.
I thought it was the Beatles' "Oh Darling!" at the beginning.
👍👍

Ну и голосочек!!!!!
In the same mould as The Animal Song by Frabjoy and Runicble Spoon pre 10cc

Today's version of 10cc when they sing this song 🎶 they renamed it Doner Kebab
I guess the band did not realise there would be a Donna dancing in front of them he he
I wonder whether this was influenced by The Beatles "Oh! Darling"
