Matt the kid food phases only last a few weeks but there can be more than one of the phases. She then adapted to child sized portions of what her dad and I were eating
Taco bell has a great breakfast burrito!! Just order the basic ine with bacon and nacho cheese .. yes they have nacho cheese on it. Trust me its delicious!
Burger King sauce is “vomit” and ‘’not sausage, don’t know what it is’’ says Matt , and violently spits it out in a napkin, then proceeds to disembowel the B K burrito, pull out a huge patty of bent ‘meat’ ,smell it, and quickly turn away with disgust ‘’that don’t even smell like sausage!’’ Then goes into full on flip out mode on B K! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Taco Bell breakfast is the most disappointing because they have all the ingredients to make an awesome fast food breakfast burrito, they just refuse to use them before 10:30am.

Ah, yes... the 'bertos'. My brother used to live in AZ. He said they had a bunch of supposedly independent mexican restaurants there that all seemed to have the same menu and decor. All having names ending in berto. Pretty tasty food for the price. Maybe they'll move into the south with names more southern. Ednaberto's, Lucielleberto's, Scooterberto's? You get the idea.
The McDonald's breakfast burrito is one of those weird things that is both mediocre and perfect at the same time. It's just so simple, but you nailed it that the cheese and peppers really make it come together.
My husband regularly gets McD's for breakfast, but I truly smile when I get to wake up to a Bacon Crunchwrap from Taco Bell. The jalapeno sauce just makes it *chef's kiss.* Now if only I could convince him to order that and still get my McD's sweet tea.

I've enjoyed the grande breakfast burrito in the past, but I think they used to have a sauce on it that they got rid of. Now it's dry and flavorless. The crunchwrap is still good.
The McDonald's breakfast burritos used to be 2 for $1 back in the day (20 years ago!) They were smaller, about the size of taquitos, and you needed to add their so-called "picante" sauce, but I could put away about 6 of them in one sitting. You felt terrible afterwards, but it was filling. I also share you opinion re: Taco Bell - the breakfast is extremely underwhelming, and the Grilled Stuffed Burrito needs to come back... Best breakfast burrito I every had was at a little food cart near a bus stop when I was taking some classes at a Community College. Chorizo, eggs, cheese and spicy hash browns, and a couple little packets of Tapatio. You had to wait in line for it, but it was worth missing your bus for.
I remember 2/$1 and then it went to 2/$2 which was still good and you got the Hot picante. Now they are $2.89 each here and they discontinued the hot picante can only get mild.
My cafeteria at work does made-to-order breakfast burritos. I have them put 1/4 cup of sausage gravy inside the burrito before rolling it. Game-changer.
I once went to Bojangle's a little before they closed and ordered mashed potatoes and gravy. They had just run out so they made another full batch and rather than throw most of it out at the end of the night, they asked if I wanted to bring some home. Of course I said yes. They gave it to me in a coffee cup. But then they also have me some of the chicken and biscuits that were going to get tossed so I had biscuits and gravy for breakfast the next morning and chicken for lunch. But my wife still sometimes jokes about my piping hot mug of gravy.
I once went through the Popeyes drive thru right when they were closing, and the girl was like "well, we have some chicken and biscuits left that we were about to throw out, you just want it all, and we call it a three piece dinner?" I went home with 10 pieces of chicken and a dozen biscuits. It was a good night.
Matt, the best fast food breakfast burrito is at Whataburger. They are called breakfast taquitos, and they're delicious. I can also make a mean breakfast burrito, your choice of sausage, bacon, or spam (yes, I said spam), I also mix cheese in the eggs and then add more cheese on top of the eggs and meat. You're invited anytime!
Oh, how I miss Whataburger! Stupid Indiana. Anyway, I will try your spam breakfast burrito and throw this one at you, leftover taco meat. Yes, I understand there's never leftover taco meat. That's why I make extra and freeze it in small batches just for homemade breakfast burritos!
@conniekoedyker8490 ah yes, I miss having a Whataburger close. There are not too many here in Georgia. Come on and try my spam breakfast burrito. Do you like big or small shells? You never can go wrong with taco meat, I'll have to try that soon.
The Sonic Zesty Cheese Sauce (they called it Baja sauce too) is a game changer. It takes the breakfast tacos to an entirely new level. More flavor (but not too much) and perfectly sauced.
Matt, I dont know if there is a Whatburger near you but their breakfast taquitos are by the best for fast food breakfast burritos. I am right there with you on Chick-Fil-A with egg and chicken. That's just so odd to mix.
Matt lives near several Whataburger locations. On the other channel, he reviewed the honey butter chicken biscuit, a plain biscuit and the sweet tea (almost killed him).
Whataburger taquito hack: Whataburger taquitos come in three varieties: bacon, egg and cheese; sausage, egg and cheese; and potato, egg and cheese. You can special order one with meat _and_ potato, but they overcharge you like a SOB if you do. Order a bacon or sausage taquito meal, and also a second bacon or sausage taquito on the side. The meal comes with 4 hash brown sticks, and the potato taquitos are made by putting two of those hash browns in the burrito with the egg and cheese. I think you can see where this is going. While you've got the taquitos open putting the hash browns in there, go ahead and put some of that Whataburger salsa verde in there as well. Good stuff.
At some point Sonic started putting the sausage, egg, and cheese and bacon, egg, and cheese on texas toast instead of the burger buns, which is an improvement but is often too salty. Maybe they lost the caps to their salt shakers.
I tried this the other day along with the burrito. The burritos are amazing from Sonic but the Texas toast breakfast sandwich was just okay. Too much bread for me.
Haven't got a clue where we get our burritos at McDonald's, but I do know that we just take em out of the frizzer, and chuck em in the microwave for about a minute, and put em in the heating cabinet to make sure they are warm for when they are served. Hope that gives some sort of impression!
So Awesome that Matt brought up the perfect breakfast animal, the platypus. It's a Mammal so you can get milk, but it also lays eggs. Then you can make bacon or sausage from it.
I was gonna make a joke about how if it spurred you, you would definitely be awake, but it turns out the females aren't venomous. Boo. A halfway decent punchline ruined by biology.
Second that. I was just about to post Sonic Ultimate Meat and Cheese burrito. And Matt is right about one thing. Taco Bell should be killing it but their breakfast line up is more hideous than Burger King.
@@tackle47 i agree with you, the Super Sonic burrito is the best breakfast burrito, and probably the best sandwich-type food they have on the menu. their Ultimate Meat and Cheese burrito was way to salty for me the one time i tried it.
When those Chick-Fil-A burritos had sautéed peppers and onions, it was a super solid breakfast choice. They also had LARGE coffee as an option. Oh, how we have fallen…
Yes! They were the best on the market at that time. Then they changed to unseasoned everything with greasy, mushy potatoes. Wish they went back the original.
I love your Bless your Ranks... your chat-chat is always sooo funny but I especially grateful for this one cuz am a breakfast burrito girl so seriously interested in the results cuz I trust your analysis of goodness👏👏👏
15:11 Hear me out… I know you may not be aware of this, but that is a revised burrito. Chick-fil-A had it right with the old burrito. It had grilled green and red peppers. It needs to come back. I’d very much like support in this matter.
I'm still a huge fan of Chick-fil-A's burrito mainly for the eggs and hashbrowns, but by far the best fast food burrito that's my go to (I live in Georgia) is Quik Trip 😅
McDonald's used to also have their sausage biscuit for $1.00 too. I used to get a sausage biscuit and large sweet tea for $2.18 every morning before work.
As a cfa worker im blowing the whistle on cfa. The sausage, eggs, chicken, everything sits in a warmer for upto 20 minutes before it expires, but we never throw it out until an hour for breakfast
Ive got to say Chic Fil A is the best breakfast burrito ive had from a fastfood place. I dont know what Matt got, but ive never had a burrito look that bad. The best breakfast burrito I've had came out of what use to be a gas station that was turned into a mexican grocery that served tacos, burritos and enchiladas. They did a breakfast burrito that was a fried egg, fried potatoes with onions and bell peppers, chorizo and a white queso sauce.
I just sat down to eat my breakfast burrito, clicked on YT and this video popped up. I love breakfast burritos, and make mine from scratch. Sausage, potato, egg, cheese, onion, bell pepper, mushroom.
This is the most spot on evaluation I've ever seen. I eat almost nothing but breakfast burritos when I hit fast food in the morning. Matt perfectly described every one of them. Down side to sonic is that because they actually cook the eggs to order, I've had burritos that they apparently spilled an entire Morton salt can into it. But generally delicious, unlike their burgers. Lol mcDs is the best you can get with consistency and speed. Little known fact, COVID's biggest hit to our economy was in making McDs stop serving the breakfast burrito all day long.
"It's weird when you put chicken and eggs in a meal together. Think about it." I do, and I laughingly refer to that as "the family reunion" as I do it.
The best breakfast burrito is the monster burrito from buc-ees its expensive but its absolutely fantastic it has eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, and cheese.
I’ll be honest, the taco beef would probably be better, as the greasy seasoning stuff makes for a really great moistener for normal at-home tacos. As for burrito additions I can get behind, hashbrowns are a bigger one. You got that crunchy outside and soft inside already inside there, so that’s a second layer of good complexity. Or, if you’re using the shoestring stuff, it’s can take up much less space in there for a more compact burrito. In any case, honestly, save yourself 15 minutes in the morning. Prepare some taco beef or sausage the night before, frozen hashbrowns (or tater tots you mashed into a patty), and in the morning, just fry up the hashbrown and egg, put some shredded cheese in there, reheat the meat and spoon it into the burrito, and there ya go.
I was totally thinking this when watching this vid! I have Whataburger sausage, egg and cheese taquitos (which are burritos, no matter what the menus call them) at least a couple of times a month. The potato, egg and cheese taquitos are also amazing, and the limited-time chorizo, egg and cheese taquitos they had a while back SLAPPED.
The sauce in the burger king burrito is the best part. Also, if Hardee's has similar burritos to Carl's Jr, that would definitely be worth trying. Best fast food breakfast burritos I've had.
As soon as I saw this I knew Sonic would win. Their early 2000s breakfast burritos were amazing. Last few times I've had them they are still edible but not nearly as good as they were back then... or maybe, like Matt, I'm just not as young as I once was.
@@raymondparisza5094 If I remember right they used to have a deal where if they took longer than 5 minutes your meal was 50% off or something like that. Again that was in the early 2000s. Much has changed in 20 years.
I’ve never had a McDonald’s breakfast burrito where the tortilla hadn’t become hard as a rock in places - liked they’d microwaved the whole thing without a wrapper and the bread just entirely dried out. Those parts were like hardtack, and you could chip a molar if you weren’t careful. I do remember when they were on the dollar menu, which, given their size, was where they belonged.
Its the only one of this BYR that aren't made to order. One person makes an entire tray, and they sit in the warmer for sometimes all day and night, that's when you get those stuck together hard nightmares (and is why they run out sometimes). But when you catch them fresh, they are outstanding (and were cheap, until McD's realized they could double the price and I'd still buy them).
Gotta tell you I have had a rough week at work and this video just gave me a huge smile! You're such a goof and your lil jokes and smile made my day! Thanks! Happy Thursday from Wiscaaaansin
Arby's used to have breakfast burritos that were $2, it was a great way to start the day when I was in the Army; 4 bucks got you 2 Burritos after PT. They raised the prices literally 2 dollars each for the exact same burrito and I never went back :(
You can eat whatever you want for breakfast. I'm sad Burger King in the civilian world isn't the same as a BK on a military base. They knew nobody wanted their garbage biscuits so they leaned into the whole "Burgers for Breakfast" thing. And honestly, good on them for that. A full work day is what I needed to digest a Whopper.
Whataburger Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Taquitos are my weakness in the mornings. I think you’ll love them and won’t even think about the others ever again. I hope one day you get to taste those heavenly unhealthy things. Great video by the way! Love your content!
The happiness that is genuinely satisfying is accompanied by the fullest exercise of our faculties and the fullest realization of the world in which we live.
I love Taco Bells grand toasted breakfast burrito, but I only go to a single one to get it. For a lot of breakfast stuff it really feels like you gotta have a decent set of workers. But also I get a side of nacho cheese with it, it's GREAT.
You can get nacho cheese added to some of Taco Bell's breakfast burrito and it improves it immensely!!! Also the bacon they use for their breakfast menu is also really good, much better than the steak imo
Matt needs a road trip series. I need to see him tackle questions like which state actually has the best barbeque. Or where the best pecan pie can be found.
I worked at Burger King as a teenager. The sausage is pre-cooked. You microwave it, then it sits in a plastic container with water at the bottom. That is kept it a steamer, all morning
As someone who worked at BK when the Eggnormous was first coming out it was made before we opened and sat for hours. That’s probably what he got and it’s bad.
Speaking of napkins, you didn't mention them at Sonic, and I was genuinely curious because I noticed awhile back that no matter how much food you order, you will recieve exactly two napkins. No more, no less.
@@SarafinaSummers No, I first noticed it probably 20 years ago, then I saw that it was the same at different locations. That's why I was actually curious to see if it was the same in another state.
The best parts of your videos are when you bust out the V-Sauce music to make an aside and talk to the company you are ranking. Your videos are, quite frankly, the best videos in the internet. Also I agree Sonic has the absolute best breakfast burrito amongst franchise restaurants. Also agree on biscuits as opposed to burritos
The only Taco Bell breakfast I've ever ate has been the sausage crunchwrap and it's amazing. It sucked for a while though when they briefly changed the recipe to be cut up sausage instead of the full sausage patty
Their original burritos were really good for fast food burritos, especially with the spicy sausage. The tater tots in the new ones just don't work for me.
Mmmmm, breakfast burrito. Favorite tends to be tots or hash browns, eggs, sausage and/or bacon, onions, peppers, cheese, sour cream, salsa. Basically a good omelette or scramble breakfast rolled up in a tortilla. Definitely agree on needing the cheese/sauce ratio preventing any overly dry texture happening.
I was having a pretty crummy day and then I watched this video and laughed and laughed. Thank you Matt! You are hilarious! (Or in Alabama speak: you’re a hoot!) I just love you and am so happy to have discovered your videos.
I worked for Hardee’s yrs ago and their breakfast burrito was the same thing as the “loaded omelette biscuit” it was all from the same pre mix of ingredients which is why you could never remove the ham or anything. They still use the mix for the loaded omelette biscuits but just stopped ordering the tortillas and once in a while threw in some jalapeños to the mix. I also have to say that Hardee’s picante was pretty good. It only made sense in our area that they do breakfast burritos because one of our local locations is a Hardees/ Red Burrito (also owned and ran by Hardee’s)
Hey Matt, I love your channel. As a foodie myself; i can agree that this is why we want authenticity in what we eat and drink, instead of the fake garbage the Government makes; calling it "food"
I am always amazed by your Fast Food Breakfast offerings. I work for McD in the UK and love the breakfast, but our menu is so basic compared to yours. Whenever I visit the USA I always have to try something I can't get over here

I 100% agree about the BK sauce. I got one the other day not knowing it was so bad. I was on my way to church to so i didn't have time to get something else. Thankfully they had some donuts after services ❤❤

You definitely cannot make bacon from platypus. But nice try.
@@justincoleman3805 If you can make bacon from a turkey, anything is possible.
Best fast food burrito is Sonic’s ultimate meat and cheese burrito. Thing is massive and the hot sauce that accompanies it is amazing
Second that. I was just about to post Sonic Ultimate Meat and Cheese burrito. And Matt is right about one thing. Taco Bell should be killing it but their breakfast line up is more hideous than Burger King.
@@stanleyharrell6009when I’ve had Taco Bell breakfast in the past I never thought it was bad but I’ve always kind of avoided the burritos too lol
I go Super Sonic burrito with jalapeños
@@tackle47 i agree with you, the Super Sonic burrito is the best breakfast burrito, and probably the best sandwich-type food they have on the menu. their Ultimate Meat and Cheese burrito was way to salty for me the one time i tried it.
Buc-ees brisket and egg burrito is amazing
When those Chick-Fil-A burritos had sautéed peppers and onions, it was a super solid breakfast choice. They also had LARGE coffee as an option.
Oh, how we have fallen…
As a CFA employee I can say our breakfast is still WAY too customizable. It's ridiculous, which is why breakfast is the hardest shift.
If you have a WaWa in the area, I suggest you give theirs a try.
@@Apollyon67I think those are only up north.
They might be better in Georgia than in Alabama. The cfa near me have breakfast items better than like Matt experienced.
ROAD BISCUITS! Convenience store deli burritos are great. But only when on a road trip.
Same… I get it with Extra Cheese and I drink the jalapeño salsa.
"The King just tried to kill me."😂
McDonald's used to also have their sausage biscuit for $1.00 too. I used to get a sausage biscuit and large sweet tea for $2.18 every morning before work.
Sounds like TN sales tax.
Now they're 1.99 and you can buy a second for 1.00
As a cfa worker im blowing the whistle on cfa. The sausage, eggs, chicken, everything sits in a warmer for upto 20 minutes before it expires, but we never throw it out until an hour for breakfast
I couldn’t pick this out of my feed any faster! This, this is what the Internet is for. I love you dude I fucking love you.
Jalapeno salsa is delish! I use 2 for every burrito. Love your videos!
Pro tip for a taco bell breakfast. Add the cream jalapeño sauce to anything, and it's amazing. Makes it less dry and tastes amazing.
Great, hilarious vid as always! Editor+Matt= comedic gold!
Have you ranked different sodas? That would be awesome!
Matt is the "king of comparison." (It sounds better than it prints)... always entertaining 😂
Completely agree on the Grilled Stuft burrito! It was literally the best thing that Taco Bell has ever made!
I would get 2 of those bad boys and be good for the day.
My favorite is the Whataburger burrito called a taquito. It has eggs, sausage, crispy hash browns, and cheese. The salsa is also very good. Hook ‘Em!
That is not a burrito, it is a taco!
I used to make late night runs to Whataburger just for those taquitos. It was a bit of a drive but so worth it at 3 am.
Americans like to call everything a breakfast burrito. But they are just breakfast tacos. Burritos would have a whole lot more filling.
It was the only reason I was excited about the graveyard shift. Going by Whataburger for a taquito lol
@@Orxbane
Love these so much! You should do a ranking every bucces sandwich!
Your video pretty much confirmed what I've always felt about fast food breakfast. If i want it done right, I just need to make it myself at home.
Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha......
Supersonic burrito and a sonic sunrise.
Too bad it takes an hour to get food. Slow as molasses and aint got that much time in the mornings
@@raymondparisza5094 If I remember right they used to have a deal where if they took longer than 5 minutes your meal was 50% off or something like that. Again that was in the early 2000s. Much has changed in 20 years.
@@raymondparisza5094 We go for sit down. Never takes long.
Jack in the Box breakfast burritos are really good as well. Missing out on those and of course need to grab one from What-A-Burger!
When Sonic first started making breakfast burritos they called the McDonald's breakfast burrito a breakfast burrito starter kit
"It just feels like you're rubbin' it in their faces a little bit. Here we Go!" *proceeds to chow down like what he just said meant nothing*
They raised the prices literally 2 dollars each for the exact same burrito and I never went back :(
I love this series so much…
You can eat whatever you want for breakfast. I'm sad Burger King in the civilian world isn't the same as a BK on a military base. They knew nobody wanted their garbage biscuits so they leaned into the whole "Burgers for Breakfast" thing. And honestly, good on them for that. A full work day is what I needed to digest a Whopper.
They had a breakfast Hamlet on the menu for a buck that was damn good.
Thank you for your service! ❤😊
I'd rather have a burger for breakfast than anything with sausage & egg.
@@LeesaDeAndrea I can do sausage and egg, but for some reason adding cheese to either of those ingredients makes me nauseous lol
BK breakfast croissant is yummy as all heck.
Whataburger Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Taquitos are my weakness in the mornings. I think you’ll love them and won’t even think about the others ever again. I hope one day you get to taste those heavenly unhealthy things. Great video by the way! Love your content!
I needed a laugh so bad today and Matt delivered - like usual!😂 God bless you and the family, Matt! Thanks for what you do! :)
I don't know why, but him telling Chick-fil-A to go pray about it tickled me so damn much 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
As a Sonic owner, I’m glad we finally got one right 😂
The sonic breakfast burritos are mine and my youngest daughter's go to for fast food breakfast. The salsa is a great pairing too.
The VERY best thing about the Sonic burrito is that you can get them all day!
The happiness that is genuinely satisfying is accompanied by the fullest exercise of our faculties and the fullest realization of the world in which we live.
Im so glad i found you again!!😅 I remember the $1 McD's Burrito, 2 and a coffee and juice sustained me a very long time!!😊
I love Taco Bells grand toasted breakfast burrito, but I only go to a single one to get it.
Burger King easily has the best burrito I have no clue what that reaction was
Matt needs a road trip series. I need to see him tackle questions like which state actually has the best barbeque. Or where the best pecan pie can be found.
I can answer that, Mississippi 😁
@@timskelton4958 Which question is being answered here?
@@lordpumpkinhead265 Best B.B.Q.
I worked at Burger King as a teenager. The sausage is pre-cooked. You microwave it, then it sits in a plastic container with water at the bottom. That is kept it a steamer, all morning
The Eggnormous from BK is easily my favorite, it's huge and delicious!
Same, and I’m a relatively picky eater. I think something was just wrong with his specific one or the location he went to.
Two words: supply, and chain.
And a peppermint
@@SarafinaSummers No, I first noticed it probably 20 years ago, then I saw that it was the same at different locations. That's why I was actually curious to see if it was the same in another state.
Great job Frank!
DUDE! The Hardees Bacon Swiss Chicken and Egg biscuit they used to have was AMAZING!
I think we can all agree that the original Chick-Fil-A burrito was far superior to the 'new' one.
Also, Sonic has a decent breakfast burrito...
Their original burritos were really good for fast food burritos, especially with the spicy sausage. The tater tots in the new ones just don't work for me.
Chick Fil A's burritos are amazing if you put their salsa on them. They're ok without.
Wouldn't know, I have standards.
I loved their grilled chicken before they “new and improved” it.
BRING BACK THE CHICKEN SALAD SANDWICH!!
As a gym bro who’s on a strict diet i love coming back to these videos when i’m craving fast food
When Matt said chick-fil-a biscuits were trash…. Finally someone agrees with me ! 🙌🏻 chick-fil-a breakfast is just not good. 🥴
Way too sweet
Dear Taco Bell, quit using potatoes. Just stop. It aint working.
"I don't know what to tell you Chick-fil-A, but just pray about it, I guess!" 😂😂😂
I'm at home recovering from a procedure and I was SO EXCITED to see this pop up! 😊😊😊
I used to work at Sonic & I loved making the burritos! I always got compliments on how good they were.
I am always amazed by your Fast Food Breakfast offerings. I work for McD in the UK and love the breakfast, but our menu is so basic compared to yours. Whenever I visit the USA I always have to try something I can't get over here
The early bird get the napkins 😂😂😂
You, young man, are hysterical!! You need to be a commedian!! Take it to America's Got Talent!! I don't really give a rat's tush about much of the food, since I like my home cooking much better, but I watch this because you make this old dame laugh!! Keep it up!!
You reach right through the video and snatched my soul when you saw my complaint coming from Wisconsin because that cheese not cheese
OMG! WHILE NOT RELATED TO CHASE, THIS WAS THE BEST VID YET!!❤❤❤
I 100% agree about the BK sauce. I got one the other day not knowing it was so bad. I was on my way to church to so i didn't have time to get something else. Thankfully they had some donuts after services ❤❤
