The cbr Fireblade is underrated. Got one of these and they are beautiful, delivers power perfectly for all year riding not as sensitive on throttle but when the power kicks in it’s ridiculously quick.

Wow! About 30 years ago I had my 1984 Honda Interceptor 1000 up to 159 mph & it was still pulling. But I said enough is enough. Slight dip in the interstate hwy & I almost lost control. Plus I was being sucked off my bike. Crazy scary.
You don't get sucked off your bike at 159. What are you talking about? The guys that race the Isle of Man TT are averaging those speeds, and they are not getting "sucked off." It would be blown off, BTW.
Cracks me up. We all do crazy shit speeds of 200mph whipping in n out of traffic. With little to no gear on. Well after 27years of riding on n off track. With n without gear. I got caught by one lady not paying attention making a left turn on a turning arrow . She did not see me. I had 60ft going 33 mph to lay the bike down n catch all of 3 inch of the rear of her car. 6 broken ribs, broken scapula broken collar bone, puncture lung. Typing this while recovering. I will never get on my bike again without at least an airbag vest......... Be smart wear gear. Ride or die do it safe wear gear

I have a 97 1100xx powerplant I'm hanging on to.maybe get to build it some day. we are Honda ppl. have a 1983 cb1100f (1252) turbo with fiberglass body 5.20 in 1/8 mile back in the day and a 1979 cb750f (1221) normal aspirated w/big tire under it. It ran 5.90 index class back in late 90's need to get busy with building motors back
I'm sure that cb1100 sounds real good too! Yes 97-98 run way cooler with air ducts directly to oil cooler. You should hang onto that engine. If I ever have to take mine apart, doubt it. It will get stronger internals and small shot i already have. Not really needed as its just street and already on low boost.
Was doing a wheelie and had a lady pull out on me. I swerved to keep from being pinballed in traffic. Broken left femur, broken ribs, broken right arm and wrist...tons of rods and pins... I rode a few more times just to get it out my sustem...but haven't been back on one since. Everything I hear that rev up and shifting it makes me smile and just reminisce tho. FOFR! To those who have never been above 180mph you'll never understand. I now ride a Yamaha R1. Not quite as fast topping out at 187mph but still a rush .

One thing I learned, besides the manufacturer, the person that's the heaviest loses unless the other misses a shift! I found this out racing a smaller guy on a Gixxer 750 and my ZX12R, he got me by a bike and a half!
I’ve been 185 on my built gsxr. It had some head work, full open exhaust, and a full unleashed tune. But it wouldn’t go over 185. Lots of times I smoked people claiming 200/210/215. They’re like “how was you faster than me at 185 and I’m going 205? I’m like well, my speedometer was showing me going 211. But my very accurate gps says I was going 185. They just look sooo confused and can’t figure it out. They can’t get the simple fact that they’re only hitting 180 tops. I don’t tell them. And they just never put 2 & 2 together and realize they were only going 175/180. And I don’t tell them bc I’m not going to argue with them. If they want to believe their stock 2002 1000 is going 210 I let them believe it. Just like this video. This guy GPS’d 199. And the GSXR he walked will swear he was going 210 like his speedometer said. And will wreck his mind how 199 walked his 210. He won’t except that he was running 180-185. His mind will refuse the thought

I had a 1980 Suzuki GS 1000 it was the fastest production bike for that year I took it to 137 m.p.h. it still had some left but nowhere near 200 m.p.h. maybe 145 to 150

An 03 r1 with a full exhaust high flow air filter and tune will do 190 all day 💯
