As a Fire and Rescue worker I can tell you that cleaning up the remains of someone who crashes at this speed is probably the worst thing I've ever experienced in my 27 years in the field. Ride safely folks.

As someone whos never rode a bike in their life this looks insanely difficult to even me! Can’t imagine how it looks to you who knows exactly HOW difficult it is!
I get you, I've seen few dash cam videos from the Man - always keep the bar high! Not a pun! What came to my crazy mind - question is how fast were you riding for all these years. For someone riding very fast regularly, such thing is maybe not like "walk in a park" as you say, but at least should feel slower than for those souls who never seat on a bike. Just the same like with an average race car. For someone driving 300 km/h on track, doing 150 is like a boring walk and when it's 80 you want to open the door, thinking the car has stopped. Race drivers simply get used to speed... Cheers! P.S. There's a cool one with Guy Martin and Dunlop racing down this track.
the guys that can pull this off are a rare breed. not every human is wired up to be able to concentrate and process speed like this. these guys are something else
The average human simply doesn't have the nervous system required to initiate and propagate an action potential to compete at this level. Try all one wants, one has to be a "different human".

Amazing footage and thanks for avoiding the music, music is for the mechanically deaf. The sound of the motor working its way up and down the rev range is like a narcotic and best when loud. It really is like no other race, great post.
At this speed, things are happening faster than my mind can process them. I can't imagine trying to remember the track and be all set up for every corner at this speed.
I think this happens fast enough to where if you have to try, you’ve already failed. All of this has to be basically autonomic. Like you’re just watching yourself do it.
Is it the sane route year after year? If so, I would think memorization would play a huge part in such adept split second navigation. Also a gradual conditioning of man and machine to ride at these speeds. It would be suicide to go at this with no knowledge of the course.
Once you know the course inside and out it just comes down to keeping the right rhythm and hitting your marks. One corner sets up the next. So if you're on your marks you don't really have to memorize everything. Just key points along the way to break-up sections. Even in difficult sections there will only be one or two key points you need to remember. The rest just kind of happen automatically. When you're at speed everything tends to move in slow motion. At least it does for me. The faster I'm going the slower things are happening for me visually. In fact the sections where you're going the fastest are when you're taking a break mentally and taking a moment to collect your thoughts. The slowest sections are where you're concentrating the most and working the hardest. When you're in top gear down a straight or through fast corners your mind can be a million miles away sometimes. It's all just happening and you're along for the ride. You only snap back to being an active participant when you see your braking or shift point coming in the distance. Then you're concentrating fully as you come to it to ensure you're going to hit your mark. Always looking to hold the throttle open just for that millisecond longer than the last lap. At speed you become one with the machine. There aren't really any active thoughts happening anymore. It comes as natural as walking. You think to yourself "this is where I want to go" and it happens.

The hand signal at 0:43 is common in racing. Basically he's saying 'stay behind me, we'll get through this section faster if we're not fighting each other'.
The throttle is on the other side and he didn't wave bye bye, he waved for the other rider to tuck in behind him instead of being side by side fighting ( Fighting over position slows down the laptimes, harder to catch up to the front runners ) Sometimes its best to work together in racing.

Every dimension of this race is unreal. The riders memorization of a track with God knows how many turns, the concentration required to perform at this level, the knowledge of ones own limits and the bikes capabilities, the physical endurance, the engines able to run wide open without catastrophic failure, and all done while knowing the smallest mistake could lead to the greatest consequence. @@rakhit I bet 99.999% could not fo what Ken Block does, could not lap as fast as Hamilton and could not swim as fast as Federica Pellegrini. By your logic every sport is "the ultimate sport". I'm just saying that it does not take courage to do this... It takes skill and insanity. While I appreciate the skill I can't understand why would you want to take all those risks... What are you proving? That you are capable of riding a bike fast? Then what... What good is that in the grand scheme of things? Risk is part of the game and I, being a car enthusiast who drives a tuned car and race with it from time to time, know that very well but risks should be kept to a minimum... This is just too dangerous.
@@matheiuss9760 No that’s not the same logic. Let me explain why. First I ain't taking anything from any of those guys you mentioned. Especially Ken throwing around that 914hp Hoonitruck on Tianmen Mountain like the GOAT. Which of course he is for his skill set. What most folks are getting at when discussing the TT is the fact that a single man, or even a pair (sidecar) are getting on a motorcycle and traveling around one of the most dangerous "street" racecourses in the world as fast as their motorcycles will take them. Most rally car drivers, when they bail or crash will survive. Being the best at throwing or hitting a ball, you’ll survive. Even being the fastest swimmer. You'll survive. Hit a wall traveling nearly 160 to 200mph on a motorcycle? And mind you, they’re traveling this fast for most of the course. The amount of focus and energy it takes to ride a motorcycle compared to let’s say sitting in a car seat, there’s a difference. Especially when you’re putting your life on the line. Now this of course begs the question, as you stated, why take the risk? And that’s why some consider it the ultimate race (I said sport, sorry, I should have said race) in the world. The risk you’re taking is greater than any other race as it will directly affect your mortality. That’s the bet. That’s what you’re putting on the line. You stated its insanity. And I would absolutely agree with you. You have to be a little off in the head to actually pay for, and decide to race this course. Coupled with a little bit of head trauma you have to be a master of your motorcycle. Each rider tunes their motorcycles exactly how they want it before the race. Extreme precision and attention of detail goes into every bike specifically for every rider. Teams grill over and over the needs of the rider, the bike and the course depending on the weather that day. It is the ultimate pair of man and machine. Because losing doesn’t simply mean not standing on the podium. In this race losing can, and often does, mean your life.

Cheers!

In this race losing can, and often does, mean your life.
didn't even blink while watching this, for safety purpose.
Lmao fo real 🤣😂🤣🤣
:D true
😂 I think my eyes were bleeding at the end.
And my hair was on fire.
I refuse to blink 6 minutes after watching this...for safety reasons!
If I was a cat and had nine lives, I just used twelve of them from the safety of my screen 😳
This is too good! x'D
