A yuck upgrade e-bell wise, However level crossings like this are soon going to be history for the Wairarapa altogether, As Kiwirail either plans to either install barriers on them to make them safer, Or completely remove them in some cases... I have to admit, I have been wanting to do more filming in the Wairarapa for the last couple of years, But most of the time these days, The line is always bus replaced during the weekdays and weekends during off peak, And the log trains seem to be a hit and miss as to when they run, 648 and 649 in particular hasn't seemed to run for quite awhile now.
Nice crossing and Nice Train.
Cheers
Also I have realized more crossing are getting upgraded with WCH E-Bells with that sound.
Sadly yes

I noticed that too that 648/649 haven’t run in ages.
My goodness what is wrong with those ring rates? Also how come Kiwirail forget about the Ring rates and think was great idea to leave it like that?
